Yeah, The Bee Gees (a clever shortening of their original group name which they used when they began performing as kids: "The Brothers Gibb") are the GOAT's GOAT. Incredibly talented, and successful, because their songwriting produced music that truly crosses all boundaries, and appeals to such a wide audience (despite the passage of time, despite race, gender, or other musical preferences). They simply have that thing called the "X" factor. It's like they couldn't produce a bad song! They have brought so much listening pleasure into my life over the years, they're definitely in my top 10 fav artists ever. I've heard that when they were kids, Barry could write a song in 10 minutes - he'd send the twins out for hamburgers and by the time they got back, he'd have a new song written for them to sing. Their first singing job was at the local speedway, they'd sit in the back of a truck and sing as their mother drove around the track. Then she'd walk around the track with a bucket and people would throw money into it. A local disc jockey heard them one night, and the rest was history.
