Mesmerizing. Unbelievable. Yep. Saw that on your face. And yes, they did write All of their own songs, as well as loads of number ones for other artists. They had 100 top ten hits when they were at their pinnacle.
This was a group that came from a time when talent and not the "look" of a band determined everything. And with the Gibb brothers...they were just blessed with talent! Barry, Robin, Maurice, and Andy (who was a solo artist, but did perform with his older brothers) just had it all. This is, hands down, my favorite Bee Gees song. The strings backing the guys, the harmonies of Barry in falsetto, Robin layered in, and Maurice on the lower range...just magic. And the lyrics are probably the most romantic in pop music history. Your face said everything...you were enthralled! Yeah...they had that power. RIP, Robin. RIP, Maurice.
You are so respectful in that you let the music take you over without interrupting every 10 seconds like so many others do who review. Love your expression.
Yes they write ALL their own songs. They have been doing this since they were kids. Their harmonies are perfection - no autotune. I have seen them at interviews in a studio just break into those harmonies. Unbelievable. Every generation has some great music but the Bee Gees catalog is just timeless and amazing.
Actually.. Born on the Isle of Mann... Famous for it's motorcycle races. I always thought they were born in England too.. Until I went to the Isle of Mann for the TT races and saw a "Birthplace of the BeeGee's" sign with a statue of them in Douglas.

bee gees, Gibbs brothers band. the only member that is still alive is Barry Gibbs. im 90's generation, and their songs were my first english songs i heard.
Auto-tune really messed up the music business. Being close I remember listening to a finished album & Producer playing it for me saying. Sound great huh thanks but they can’t go on tour to sing in person. He took a terrible group I heard the day before and the next day he comes back I thought it was a different group- producer just did his Studio magic. Think about it.

They never wrote a bad song in 5 decades. You should be dancing also has their younger brother Andy singing with them. Andy also was a song writer and was successful in his own right. He wasn't a BeeGee because he was so much younger. Barry announced Andy would be joining the group in January 1988 but unfortunately he passed away early March just days after his 30th birthday. It's so good to see another generation discover what we grew up with. They wrote their own material as well as for many other artists including Diana Ross, Celine Dion, Dion Warrick, Barbara Streisand and Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Also wrote with Michael Jackson.

I was lucky enough growing up in the 60s version were one of my favourite groups. Check out some of their beautiful songs they wrote for others to take care. God bless
Didn't get to appreciate the Bee Gees until retirement, heard their songs but didn't know who they were. At age 70, ten years ago, I now know. Learned a little more about them. It's a type of music some people don't care for but I enjoy their songs. Thanks young lady.

Without a doubt, you need to react to Stayin' Alive. Now this is a song you have absolutely heard of before, whether you realize it's the Bee Gee's or not. EVERYONE knows this one and has heard it at least once in their lifetime. Other BG songs that you also need to react to are Night Fever, Jive Talkin', More Than a Woman....just to name a few.
Love You Inside Out, Spirits Having Flown, Fanny (Be Tender With My Love), Love So Right, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, Lonely Days, Run to Me, Alive, To Love Somebody, New York Mining Disaster 1941, I Started A Joke,Words, Nights On Broadway, Jive Talkin, You Should Be Dancing, You Win Again, Bodyguard. Those are most of their released singles during the 60s, 70s, and 80s.They had amazing songs that were not singles. The Bee Gees were no more when. Maurice Gibb died in 2003 They also wrote and produced successful songs for Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson. Diana Ross, Jimmy Ruffin They also each did solo work. The Gibb Brothers have a very deep rabbit hole of amazing songs Barry has done 2 solo albums since his brothers passed away.. Robin also did some amazing solo work after Maurice died. There is a reactor named Chad Sumners who has a Bee Gees playlist on his site. He has songs that were not released as singles on that playlist. His is the most comprehensive list of Bee Gees song reactions. .
The greatest group ever. Wrote songs not only for themselves, but for many famous singers around the world. And proud to say they were born on the Isle of Man. 30 mile across the Irish sea from Northern Ireland where I live. Also have a listen to them singing Ellan Vallin. A song for the place of their birth. Robin Gibb has the voice of an angel. Have a listen

During the Disco era, they did a song called "Stayin' Alive" that became a mega-hit. Ironically, it has become the song that the American Heart Association selected as the rhythm of CPR. The rhythm is exactly the pace of the compressions to save lives. So, now the title has a double meaning, "Stayin' Alive" helps keep people alive.
I'm more of a rock guy, but I definitely have an appreciation for the Bee Gees and I do like their songs. This also brings back memories of growing up in the 70s. Bee Gees, love them, always have, I watch them on youtube all the time, the full concerts. They not only wrote their own songs, but wrote for other artists like Barbra Streisand Guilty album.

They didn’t write most of their songs, they wrote all of their songs. In the span of 20 years they wrote over 1000 songs. You really need to watch “The Bee Gees. How Can You Mend A Broken Heart” on Hulu. You will be blown away!!
Ray Bull completely right! This is one of the RARE occasions when you happen to put the one of the best lyrics with the greatest harmonies to some of the most phenomenal music ever recorded by one of the best producers.. Timeless and arguably the greatest love song ever recorded...
This is definitely one of the most beautiful songs ever written. I think when you see them walking off in the end of the video you don't want them to walk away because you don't want the song to end!
Even as a kid this song was a favorite and I would bawl like a baby every time I heard it...Still works. 😭😊😊😊Their harmonies give me chills in a good way.
Yes Pink! You should check out their whole list of greatest hits on RUclips! There’s a lot more where those songs came from! Blessings!! I LOVE THE BEE GEES…I love watching young people like you fall in love with them too! 💗
The Bee Gees were absolutely great. If you love harmonies and want to hear something more contemporary, I recommend that you check out Pentatonix. You could start with Hallelujah.
your reactions are so genuine. it takes me back when I first heard The Bee Gees as a kid. I fell in love instantly. Barry is just a beautiful man. He has written many hits for other artists as well. Keep on enjoying the music.
Loving your reactions. There's a purity to the Bee Gees that stayed all through their 40+ year career! An amazing rabbit hole of hits. Try Staying Alive, Fanny be tender with my love, Run to Me, How can you mend a broken heart, Jive Talking, You Win Again...just to get you started. And yes, they wrote all of their songs as well as songs for Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, etc. Barry Gibb is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for songwriting. You have a lot to enjoy coming up. My favourite band for over 40 years!
Not only did they write songs for themselves, they wrote tons of other hit songs for other artists. I heard once that they wrote around 500 songs, not sure how accurate that is but sounds about right to me 😉
In my opinion, there has never been, nor will ever be, anyone as great, as talented singers and songwriters, as Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb! They will always be my absolute favorites! Sadly Barry is the only one still living, and he's still singing and making albums. Absolutely love their music and voices. ❤❤❤
Please react to “Nights on Broadway”, “Night Fever” and “Jive Talkin.” Just for a few more starters- They bring the funk and the groove in those, as well as harmonies- EPIC! 💖🤘🏼👍✌️. PS They not only wrote their songs.. they wrote for many other greats as well!
As the story goes, Barry was called last minute to come up with one more song and it needed to be slow and romantic song for the movie 'Saturday Night Fever" He went into his recording studio one early morning in Miami as the morning sun shine began to shine into the studio as he sat at the piano, he played around with a few bars for a few minutes and all of a sudden as if from God himself, the words and the lyrics and the melody came to him as he sang and played it for the first time, with several band members in total shock. You can look it up and find the making of "how deep is your love" The Bee Gees and Andy Gibb were my first love and My heart still feels the same every time i hear their music. Me and my best friend to this day have the fondest memories as teenagers listening to them for hours and hours. They are angels! Poor Barry is left without his brothers.
This is when music was real you could feel it

Even as a kid this song was a favorite and I would bawl like a baby every time I heard it...Still works. 😭😊😊😊Their harmonies give me chills in a good way.
Its my Music i dance in the Club of Bee Gees...........best Time ever your REaction is so good
Wow this group brings back so many great memories of being a kid back in the 70s I truly believe that we were blessed to have experienced those days.
U know girl they honestly did with there own song I'm 62i was brought up on Bee Gees
Yes Pink! You should check out their whole list of greatest hits on RUclips! There’s a lot more where those songs came from! Blessings!! I LOVE THE BEE GEES…I love watching young people like you fall in love with them too! 💗
I grew up with them. Very beautiful songs.
You nailed it with your analysis. They are INCREDIBLE!!!
Haha!your reaction was priceless and yes tht is an amazing song.one of the all-time classics imo!
Yes !!! Brothers.
We used to dance to their songs at the disco ..
Barry is still living 💖
They where great writers and knew what worked from them
Not only did they write songs for themselves, they wrote tons of other hit songs for other artists. I heard once that they wrote around 500 songs, not sure how accurate that is but sounds about right to me 😉
Listen to all BeeGees songs. They are awesome. It's so good to hear them again. ❤️🌹♥️🌹
Oh the 70's was SUCH a vibe!
Yes please
I've read about a hundred times "The Muse" shows up at just the right time. There's more to this world than the corporations know or will ever know.
