Great video. Looking for videos with robalo boats because I'm looking to buy one. Your video just reminded me of childhood. Riding up front with my arms out as a kid with my Dad driving. Can't wait to give that feeling to my kids too. Looks like the boat did pretty well in the chop.
@@loon3111 I always recommend to check all your options, but when I looked elsewhere I always came back to this boat. It was the best boat in my opinion for my price range
on another note, my trolling motor has popped off due to the chop. i advise you to put a min kota stabilizer (love mine) or take that twist crew height bracket on the shaft and move it to your bracket area and tighten it there when running. cost me a repair on mine. I have the same boat same setup. just dont like my seat mold problems :/
That’s some good advice. I been looking for a trolling motor stabilizer. I try to remember to move the screw lock up when running but I often forget. Mine almost came out when we were in the keys
All monohulls will have a hull slap on a really big wave. The Robalo, like many hybrid bay boats have A transitional dead rise it’s really sharp at the Bow and goes flat towards the stern, this is added for stability. A deep sea boat will have less of a slap because it will have a higher dead rise at the stern but it’s less stable. Rocks back and forth. But the answer question to your answer is yes. But it’s a solid thump . Because the boat is super heavy it does not hit as hard as other boat models. (does not come out of the water as much) To help eliminate the hull slap put the trim tabs down, but you want to avoid driving the bow of the boat into a wave and taking a wave overboard. Hope this helps

Yes it does, you will get a little wet in a cross wind but the boat handles better then my previous seahunt bx
I’ll post a video here shortly of the boat in a cross wind if you want to see it
@@GULF2BAY Yeah that would be great. Do you suggest I go for this boat or look elsewhere?

Thanks for posting. Hard to find real world use of the boat. Looks like it did great.
Thanks for watching!
Your boat is awesome ! Handled that chop with no problem !
Thanks 👍
Son we’ve took our 246 in 5-6’ boats a beast

How dry was the ride out, and do you feel that hard slam when coming down off a better sized wave?
