Great boat and tour! I have the 246 Cayman (2022). I would like the compass to be centered to the steering wheel not the console. Also, it is incredibly difficult to avoid black marks from the trailer guides on both sides; they come off but are a pain to deal with. The throtle is a tad sensitive especially when above 25 mph in bumpy water. However, great boat and we enjoy it immensely. I like that flip down seat but we use all of our seatback rod holders as well. El radar would be nice. We usually use the starboard livewell for fish and the port livewell for ice and drinks. Nice review!
@@CanalLifeSWFL can't wait to see pictures of the boat lites at night. That is so sexy. It really is a beautiful boat. You are going to have so much fun taking it to Key West, etc.
Put clamp on rod holders outboard of the existing leaning post rod holders. It looks like there is enough space for them to fit. That'll give you 4 tubes instead of the factory 2 holders without interfering with the cooler.
I love your boat, was it a good idea to put the battery switches and other stuff in the hull area where salt water can slosh and have you had an issue?
I have 2 issues with it. 1) it’s not easy to double check the battery position when exiting 2) the hatch is heavy. Definitely not a dealer breaker but I’d prefer a different location for it.
What happened to the Tidewater? Found your videos looking for info on a TW 27 Bay. Also watched the performance video of the 425 on the new boat. Appreciate the information. Have to admit I thought you would get a little better fuel economy.
I loved my tidewater! I wanted a full head and a little bigger boat. I love the bait wells and cast net storage too. Think I’m getting better mileage now. There was some tide fighting me. Both are great boats!!!! I have nothing but good things to say about TW.
Thanks. Are you referring to the wheel? If so, it’s not quite in the center not certainly not directly in front of the right chair. At first I didn’t like it, but after a hour driving, I loved it. One thing I like is it puts you between the throttle and wheel and that become very comfortable. Also, a passenger is more like to help….this comes in handy in the canal when distracted by an ice cold bevy!!!! So I like it but took some getting used to.
Thanks for your content! I have the same boat with the 425. Did you ever calculate the full weight of the boat with full water and fuel? Website says 4500 lbs with engine (dry weight). Curious if you know if that is with the base engine or the upgrade to 425 Yamaha? Appreciate your content!
Not sure I understand. You only have an echo transducer and the downscan. Both are shared between the units and Both of mine read at full speed. Where I’m at, I leave the port Simrad on sidescan 99%. I’ve found lots of good structure that way! Let me know if that doesn’t answer the question. Good luck with the spec.
It’s gonna excel at tarpon!!!! However, had it in shallow yesterday and landed 11 red fish and enough snapper for taco dinner. Reds were mostly small but happy to get a bunch!!! Love October in SW FL!!!

Beautiful boat! Thank you for the show around - very kind.
Glad you liked it. Loving the boat
Really nice upgrade. Take me fishing sometime with you
Congrats on the new boat. Should make an excellent fishing platform!
Hope so! Thanks
Love your new boat. Nice seats.
Can’t wait to go out at night and use all the lights

How do you like the center drive instead of offset to the left? Beautiful boat.

I haven’t. I have a trailer but haven’t used it and my lift is pretty big so weight isn’t too key for me.
Hey brother! moving to the space coast. I am specing a boat very similar to yours what's your opinion on transducers with dual simrads?

Is your power poles an 8 and a 10 or is it just the mount?
I have 10’ power poles. Great product.
Are your powerpoles 10 footers?
Yes
