    I just have to say what an amazing reviewer you are. You are the ONLY one that has accuracy/propper data to show, rather than just browsing through what the watch has to offer and subjective feeling about them. You deserve way more subs and I hope you keep doing what you do! Keep winning ma dude!

    The brands are finally having the courage to send you their devices. This is milestone that you've achieved, so I guess congrats are in order! :D If this becomes standard, you'll be quite busy reviewing loads of health/fitness tech, eheheh.
    Another great video, I have a Fenix 6x Pro and I'm a crazy person that's considering getting the GT3 Pro for the other wrist (and maybe a Whoop 4 to use on... my ankle? Eheh). Thanks, Rob!

    • @yildiraykomurcu
      @yildiraykomurcu 2 года назад +6

      This is possible if you have self confidence on your device. Huawei proved themselves in heart rate tracking with the previous devices, GT3 and GT Runner. So they are brave enough to lend Rob GT3 Pro. Still it needs improvement in sleep tracking, a feature they neglected a couple of generations. I think similar about Whoop 4. What makes it unique, it can be worn on different parts of the body. They even designed underpants to attached it. I guess I wouldn’t wear on the other wrist, don’t wanna look like a weirdo 😅 But I will wait for Whoop 5 anyway. They are good at sleep tracking but not as good in heart rate tracking in Rob’s reviews.

    I own a GT3 in the US and feel Huawei makes the best smartwatch products for what I care about. Bought mine off of eBay and had to create my Huawei ID using a VPN to get access to all of the features in the store. I haven't had any issues with the app, app store, or the watch itself. I don't use GPS, only care about total sleep tracked vs the stages, wanted a great HR tracker, and did not want to charge a watch every day or couple of days. While tracking roughly .5 - 1.5 hrs of workouts each day, I still get between 10-12 days of battery life. I came from a Charge 2 and did not like fitbits move to a subscription service.
    The only downside to my GT3 is the screen glass being scratched so easily. The premium build of the Pro version would be the only thing I would switch over for.

    • @jannisdavidzwahlen
      @jannisdavidzwahlen 2 года назад +1

      @@gheithyan7174 I can only speak as a GT2 Pro user, but for me it is more than enough. As said in the video, it knows when you fall asleep and wake up and usually to the minute. When I wake up it gives me a sleep score and I have to say if I slept well (woke up and didn't feel tired) it gave me a higher sleep score, so for me that's more than enough. And I can only imagine that the GT3 Pro is even better.

If it is true, they should all give similar precision in heart rate and ox saturation measurements. Howether, from your tests it is clearly seen that gt pro is more accurate that gt runner, while gt runner is more accurate than gt 3. Do you have any ideas abour why it happens? Can it be due to firmware differences?

    So smartwatches add newer and newer health features every year. ECG was already introduced by other brands a few years ago. GT3 and GT3 Pro can measure skin temperature, too. This is also a good metric worth comparing with a reference device. I have a request from you Rob. In the coming videos, can you also mention tracking frequency of the device on specific health metrics ? First of all, not all smartwatches offer continuous tracking. And if they do, they offer it with a specific frequency. For example, as a GT3 user, I can say that GT3 tracks heart rate, blood oxygen and skin temperature 7/24. But it tracks heart rate every 1 minute, blood oxygen every 10 minutes as long as your hand is still and skin temperature every 1 hour. I wonder if these frequencies changed with GT3 Pro. Tracking frequency is an valuable information that you usually don’t find in the device specs and you can only find it out after using it.

    I have Huawei Gt3 pro and bought Fitbit inspire 3 cause your reviews sugested that it was better for Sleep tracking. I've been slepping with both for a week now and fitbit looks like garbage. The Huawei hits perfectly The time I Sleep and wake. The fitbit miss it by some minutes everytime and even stops to do mesurements of it if i stay wake for a about 20 minutes in the middle of early morning. Huawei NEVER miss it and starts to measure Sleep after I get back to Sleep. About the REM and deep Sleep they agree most of the time. I think you should Sleep with both again to see how better Huawei is.

    If I may suggest, the heart rate light flashing was a little harsh for the eyes to see so if you could tone down and make it darker with exposure or something that would be relatively less painful to see and it kept flashing quite a bit during the video. BRAVO for this detailed test, one of the most detailed I have seen so far. ;-)
    However, I think it would also have been good to mention among these "defects" the fact that this GT/GT PRO range does not offer airplane mode nor ANY WAY to turn off the Bluetooth while continuing to use it, which is annoying in an air or we are already bathed in too much EMF waves.
    and for athletes with break time (fitness) I find that 5 minutes is far too much as a minimum suggested between each break! forced to juggle with the timer started separately to have less than 5min (the same is not customizable we go from 1min to 3min) at this level an m430 polar is much better for time management!

    Having used Huawei watches is USA, there are work arounds to installing apps. The easiest way is a VPN installed on your phone, and setting your Huawei ID to an address in overseas, matching VPN location to ID address. I tired UK and it allowed all access. Easy enough to try other countries

    • @nywaterny
      @nywaterny 2 года назад

      Once the watch is set up, it works fine shutting VPN off and set to the carriers location. In other words, you only need VPN / ID during set up. Afterwards, it functions just like any other non-sanctioned watch. (Using s21 ultra and s22 ultra here)

    I own the GT1 (Huawei) and Gt2 pro (Huawei too) , last firmware , app Huawei Health updated. In total it's been 4 years I'm using the Huawei ecosystem and smart watches .
    The Gt2 heart rate on the display is weird at rest. It might because I have an elevated bpm at rest (80-90), but it shows often 10bpm below compared to an omron BP. To be fair if you switch to display in full the heart ♥ panel, it correct it. 75bpm becomes in 1s 85bpm. The gt1 was accurate as a Swiss watch... But no Spo2
    Sleep recording is very good. I own the dreem too, never used it more than a few weeks a long time ago.
    Spo2 on the Gt2 is innacurate idk why but at night, the most important time, a few hours are missing (no data), is it because I drop below dangerous levels ? I have no answers but it's possible because of sleep apnea.But it never recorded a Spo2 levels below -97% at the wrist. And since I did two polysmonography I know that my 0² sat can drop way below 80% for several minutes (the joy of obstructive sleep apnea blocking the airways, I have cpap machine).
    You're a good reviewer but I see a big issue. You're too healthy! 😅
    As you must know there some poor patients who we can't at the hospital mesure the 0² levels at the fingers because their oxygen levels is so low and have fingers blue/black as charcoal ... So we have to mesure it through a catheter directly in an artery. Anyway, it's an extreme exemple, who happend rarely but you get my main complaint : you're too healthy
    It's good but I would like to see theses watches on subjects with obesity, sleep apnea, auricular fibrillation not treated, in unusual conditions.
    Just by your face (chin and dentistry ) I can already known that you don't do sleep apnea for exemple, and breathing by the nose.
    Anyway I don't know if I'm gonna switch to the GT3 pro given theses points.
    Thanks for the video, it's really a good method

    I own a GT2 and last week I bought a GT3 pro and was inspired by your videos so today I used both of them during my 3h mountainbike tour simultaneously on the right and another on my left wrist. Each time I checked my wrists the heart rates were same or very similar. Strangely on the GT3 you reach the stages (aerob, anearob etc.) with the lower hear rate. The GT2 requires around 5-10 heart rates more for the next stage but as I said the heart rates were quite similar. At the end of the training one gave me a average heart rate of 149 and the other 151 and the curves, which I only checked on the watch screen seemed to be identical as well. Maybe GT2 already was a GREAT device for hart rate measurement which needs its own analysis by you :) And before I forgot it there was huge difference between the max and min. height I have reached.i don't remember exactly but one watch was telling something like 300m of maximum height whereas the other added at least 200m more and telling something around 500m. If interested I could send you the data on my huawei health app.

    mine worked okay until I tanned my wrist even though I have fairly white skin even now. After that I noticed my HR dropped dramatically during jogging.
    Now I have to wear it in the the other side of my wrist which is lighter. It gives 15-30% HRM difference compared to the other side which is huge variance..

    I don't know which to go for GT3 or Withings Scan Watch. Sleep seems disappointing on both. Scan Watch doesn't detect REM at all but has ECG now. I'm not very sporty any longer but I do have a heartbeat irregularity. My old Garmin band now needs charging daily and doesn't last 24 hours, it used to last 2 weeks (maybe it's all the notifications I get). It also doesn't have many features compared to any new watch. Scan Watch is £197 now so it is cheaper than GT3 but not as exciting.

    Polar H-10 chest strap is not very functional for swimming, and the Polar Verity Sense on your swim goggles is an option but without real time output while swimming laps or open water.

    It makes no sense that GT 3 Pro has better performance than regular GT3. Same sensors, same CPU, minor difference in features therefore almost the same software. The only explanation is that firmware on GT3 was not the same version as in GT3pro at the time of testing....

    I really want to get this watch for how accurate it is, but the down to the detailed information from the phone app isn't that great, for people who want truly in depth information it just isn't there. Plus it has its own OS, some things may not be available in United States

      The gt2 pro was abandoned, the firmware updates didn't do much.

    • @MrMockaMock

      @@JohnSmith-ef8nr It's not been abandoned at all. It's had multiple firmware updates focusing on HR, step accuracy etc. Only thing it didn't really get was that update to Harmony OS which was never going to happen due to that hardware not being up to it.
