I got GT3 pro for about 10 months. It looks great, it is good, battery is excellent, but I also feel not so happy with some features. Yes, it has ECG. The sensor is good, on the grafic I can see it detects the irregularities in heart beatings, but the interpretation is so bed! I had many extrasystoles, that I felt and also see on the chart, but it doesn't report any. I guess it only reports fibrillation, but for me the ECG feature is just "for the show". If I really have fibrillation, I no longer need the watch to call emergency... Also, after so many months is usage, I feel I would highly appreciate the e-sim. I really missed this feature several times. So I am thinking now about buying the watch 3 pro (I saw 4 pro, but I think it is ugly, bulky, and the curved screen is so bad, reflexions are huge. Yes, it has ECG and esim, but I told you about ECG : if you are healthy, you do not need it, if not, you can't use it due to interpretation weakness).
Just picked up my titanium GT3 Pro, I really struggled to decide between this and the Watch 3 Pro. I'm incredibly impressed so far, build quality is amazing, up there with my friends Tag Connected, although the Gt3 pro has a much better strap! Battery life is crazy good, I've been running it for 4 days straight with all health apps running and still on 60 percent! Beautifully slim too and lightweight, very comfterble on the wrist, Fast access to all apps, smooth as silk menus, all in all I'm really impressed. Cheers Phil for the great comparison 👍
I am recharging my GT3 pro every 4-5 days , when I am doing 2 MTB trips 2-3 hours each a week with GPS tracking have to recharge after 3 days . I think it is excellent result compare to competition.
I have this watch for 3 days and I love it. I also gave up on my I-watch which hardly last for a day. Charging is fast which is significant. The sports features and watch face is superb.
I already have a watch 3 pro and it still the best option but I hope huawei make software updates to make this expensive device even more better as a flagship for the brand but it looks they forget about it till now Thanks to you and more videos to come

I bought a Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar because it has the things I need and you don't need to get 'hooked' to the power plug every day. (Which was a big no no to me.) In my case I can go about seven days without needing to plug in. The app gives me lots of insights on my health. Downsides? Not that many or to me at least.
I am also a proud owner of 3 pro. It has almost everything like gt 3 pro. Everything you said is true, you made a very good comparison. Yes, the 3 pro design is much nicer to me than the gt 3 pro. What I dislike about both watches is the inaccuracy of temperature measurements. My body temperature is 36c and the clock always says 33 / 34c It actually has a deviation of 3 degrees. I don't like it because I can't control the camera on my Android phone, I can't take photos. That option would only work if I have a phone with a Harmony OS. I would love to fix that with the next upgrade. Thanks for the review, it's great!

Thinking of getting a Huawei GT3 PRO. Main reason is I use my watch all the time outside and some workouts are really hard on the watch, I don't think it can be heavier than the Garmin Fenix 3 I currently use, but it would be much more accurate on the wrist. The Garmin easily pairs with chest straps, etc, and then it give great results, but that is often too much of a pain. The main issue is that it is more than 6 years old and I have to charge it 3 or more times a week depending on how heavy I use it. The GT3 PRO has 4 GB of RAM vs the 32 MB of the GT 3 which should help with performance, also it has 16 GB of SSD, not sure about GT 3. I could live without the titanium body, but the sapphire lens is a huge deal when you bang up the watch as much as I do. The GT3 is running around 29,000 JPY vs around 40,0000 JPY for the GT3 Pro which is less than $100 USD difference. Expensive for 4 GB of RAM, but it is what it is.
Great video, thanks for the comparison, I have the 3 pro as well for 7 months and am disappointed with no updates to the software as yet, I have this bug where the screen occasionally starts bobbing up and down non stop and only recourse is to restart it. SErvice center did nothing as the bug is not reproduced when wanted, it happens often enough though at least couple times a week, I looked all over the internet didnt find anyone else who has this issue. Still love this watch and the health app. Been a long time user of Polar for years and now Watch 3 pro really amazes me.
It might be water damage..I owned a watch active 2 which kept on doing the same thing for several months until it became too frequent for the watch to be of any use..When I finally had the time to visit the service center, that was when it was confirmed that a water damage was what was causing it..It was too late..they recommended a screen replacement which is very impractical since a replacement screen costs more than half the price of a brand new watch..I suggest you get yours seen by a technician from their service center..
In the specification of the 3 pro I read that the operation temperature is between 0 C and+ 35 C. Dit you experience any problems with the 3 pro outside this range ? For instange when walking in wintertime outside by below zero degrees. The GT3 pro has a much wider range (-20 C till + 45 C ).
How is AOD ? For me this is the main drawback that keeps me from buying a Huawei watch. I had Apple watch 6 that had a gourgeous AOD, and I switched to Samsung Note 22 and now I have Galaxy Watch 4 ( poor battery life, not so great AOD as Apple watch, not so great design as Huawei )
I was considering these 2 and in the end ordered Garmin Venu 2 Plus coz Garmin Pay and Direct Strava sync. For the same price Huawei looks much better but software is an issue. I would rather have Huawei but SW needs to be improved...pity...love them!!!

For me the GT3 PRO is a no brainer, ECG, abd longer battery life, better newer HR sensor and reviews so its a bit better and accurate than the watch 3 pro. Also heard GPS on the gt3 pro is slightly more accurate. As for looks both are identical and the GT3 pro is lighter. As far as apps, both still lacking, so the watch 3 pro no advantage there. The only advantage of the watch 3 pro is dont need your phone with you. But who wants to be interrupted during a run with a phone call. Having esim the battery suffers on the 3 pro. Slide by side look identical so how can you say the watch 3 pro looks better when they are the same, bar the GT3 pro has a smaller crown. The ECG makes the GT3 pro the better buy
Can you make a detailed video of calling feature? Like normally I wear earbuds, so when someone calls me and if I answer the call from my watch, so will the audio from the person calling me will come through the earbuds or the watch? People might want to know, Android phones (Google Pixel 6 Pro) in my case which updated to Android OS13, has now issues with getting notifications sent from my phone to the watch. Whenever I try to enable it I get a Restricted Settings message and everything is grayed out. As well HMS Core keeps crashing with Android 13...well documented online. Spoke to Huawei tech support Level 2 and they have no solutions other than "please wait". If anyone has a work around for my Watch 3 Pro, I along with others would appreciate it. Many thanks!

Only thing that doesn't work properly now is the Automatic Stress Test...although it carries out the test and questionnaire, in the end the message it gives me is "Calibration failed". So, if anyone can help on this last thing, it would be great, other than that, it's a great watch!!

The GT3 pro is better. Has slightly more accurate HR sensor and has ECG, which the 3 pro version does not have. Think the GT series is more designed as a fitness watch rather than smart watch

Heavy use getting 4 to 4 days on my gts pro. No way will you get 8 days. Have everything on no AOD, use loft to wake. 24 hour temp and SPO2 on turn these off and may get 8 days

I bought the gt3 pro and I think it has 32 gigabytes of memory space, I tried to load some mp3s and it reports 25 gigabytes of available space. As for the RAM, I can't say.

Can you reply to texts from either watch? I saw another video saying you can't but if this is the case then having the esim version makes no sense because then you leave your phone and only take your watch yet it didn't allow full communication

Did you know there is a "3 pro NEW" (sometimes also called the 3 pro 2022) ? It runs on Harmony OS3 and has ECG. I wonder if it has the upgraded sensors of the GT3 pro or still the same sensors of the 3 pro 2021. Hugely considering the watch 3 pro ... but IMO it's just a tad too thick on the wrist..

The camera control in the Huawei P40 pro works, and the phone is NOT with Harmony OS.

I just checked, on my Watch 3 Pro there is no sports activity for diving, only for swimming.

Heavy use getting 4 to 4 days on my gts pro. No way will you get 8 days. Have everything on no AOD, use loft to wake. 24 hour temp and SPO2 on turn these off and may get 8 days

I bought the gt3 pro and I think it has 32 gigabytes of memory space, I tried to load some mp3s and it reports 25 gigabytes of available space. As for the RAM, I can't say.

Can you reply to texts from either watch? I saw another video saying you can't but if this is the case then having the esim version makes no sense because then you leave your phone and only take your watch yet it didn't allow full communication
As off right now, you can reply text from some apps like Facebook messager, sms, Instagram.

The Huawei Watch 3 pro is the number 1 for me but the software still need to grow to match up with the amazing design and build quality. I wish I could get the software of Galaxy watch 5 pro into Huawei Watch 3 pro like that would be a perfect smartwatch😅

Did you know there is a "3 pro NEW" (sometimes also called the 3 pro 2022) ? It runs on Harmony OS3 and has ECG. I wonder if it has the upgraded sensors of the GT3 pro or still the same sensors of the 3 pro 2021. I believe the watch is only available in China, because I am here in Thailand(Asia) and I haven't seen it here.
Hugely considering the watch 3 pro ... but IMO it's just a tad too thick on the wrist..
