Great video but a missed opportunity to show how you “connect” top drink rails with each other when span is longer than length of one top rail. Do you simply butt them or angle cut to create 45 degree overlap, and do you use glue?
Edit: incorrect answer.
I would also like to know!
What Brand of rail system did you use ? Thanks
Missed this video before. Super cool top cap install. Thanks
You probably dont care but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my brother for the last couple of months xD
@Ramon Bradley yup, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for months myself =)
@Ramon Bradley Yup, been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself :)
I'm surprised you still do your fascia flush with the top of the decking, verses the decking overhanging with fascia butting underneath.
I did a Timbertech railing repair job today, and the customer was complaining about all the debris between the decking and the fascia.
She even went as far as to file a warranty complaint. The problem was the way it was installed, not the product.
It takes longer and a lot more work to do perimeter boards overhanging with the fascia butting underneath.
But, worst case, personally I would rather see the ends of the deck boards hanging over with fascia underneath then have the fascia flush with the decking
Agree to disagree
that’s looking good 👍
if you don’t what posts and top aluminum rail are you using
Awesome video. Another one for the books 🤙
You should do a long term review on the cut hub do you still like it
Hi, can you share what the "u channel" official name is that you lay the top cap on ?
TR400, needs to go on 2-3/8 post. And normally should have structural top plate so not really made for flexible and/or large composite drink rail
Hi can you provide the source for the posts and rail parts?
American Structures and Design in Auburn, WA.
looks like your 3rd man never showed up
