Nice video. I'm installing Timbertech Radiance railing on my PVC deck. My 16 step staircase is at 32deg. The Timbertech alum round balusters come precut at 36 deg. Do you just recut the angle with miter saw?
At 2:02 the video says "Azek rail also works with Azek secure mount post". I spent $15k on this railing to later find out this is wrong. The supplied stainless steel screws are 3 inches long and will stop when they hit the steel post, making it impossible to screw them in more than half way. So now what? I can't return them anymore and the railings can't be installed... The rail system requires a special screw made out of a special grade of stainless. Sooooo I'm just out of 15 thousand dollars?
Tony, you are correct, the post sleeves are oversized to allow the posts to be shimmed to square and plumb to accommodate movement/twisting of the structural 4x4 posts. Cedar or composite framing shims can be utilized. For further details, please call our Customer Service Team at 1-800-ASK-AZEK. Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the delayed response!
wow...over engineered over complicated over priced mess...I'm stuck installing this crap because the homeowner already bought it...I could have supplied the railing for 1/4 the cost and 1/4 of the time.
