Top Foods You Can eat like this 13 Seeds On Keto - Snacks (Fats, Carbs & Omega)🌻🌱 With the fat content, net carbs and omega 3 to omega 6 ratios so you know exactly which seeds are best for you on a keto diet and the best snacks on keto as far as seeds go. You will learn if fish oil benefits and if it is the best for Omega 3 or if you can have a vegetable source for Omega 3.
Figuring out which foods are suitable for a very-low-carb, high-fat ketogenic diet can be tricky. Still, some varieties are lower in carbs than others. This comment reads like a organized propaganda from somebody working for mainstream health media who deliberately used the word "holistic nutritionist" in order to defame Dr Ekberg even further in the eyes of innocent public and people who are just starting to get into health.
Apologies if that was not your intention but that is how it sounds.

Hundreds of Keto videos watched and I think you're the first person who has explained why grass-fed beef is better than grain-fed and how it gets that way. I grew up on a cattle farm where the cows were left to roam the pastures throughout the day. I loved beef as a child until I moved to the city. That's when I stopped eating beef. I never made the connection why. Now I know. I love how you back everything with technical, science-based facts and provide the numbers to reflect it.

For those on a keto lifestyle you will also want to consider kidney stone formation and seeds with low oxalates. These would include flax, hemp, pumpkin, sunflower, and watermelon. By eating a modest ketogenic diet high in polyphenols from green tea and/or resveratrol you can help keep the epithelial lining of the kidney smooth and healthy which slows the seeding of calcium oxalate stones. Also drink more water than you think is needed to stay away from the saturation point for stone formation. Your kidneys should be like a flowing creek, not a swamp.

I follow An advice From a book written by an American doctor since 2004 , as follows :
Take 4 seeds , same weight , and grind them separately .
Then fry on the pan , without oil .
You can mix them first then fry later . Frying a little bit to make the mix dry , to keep it longer .
Mix together . Store in a glass container
Put one 1 , or 2 teaspoon in a cup of milk you use ( my breakfast consists of a cup of milk and a half banana )
4 seeds : flax seed , pumpkin seed , sesame seed and sunflower seed .
By this way , you don’t have to grind any time you want to use it .
I grind 50 g each type , and use about one month .

      @Heloise O'Byrne : Ha ! Ha ! I should have written “ 4 types of seeds . “
I think the reason why we should fry them is that they can be kept longer . If you want using them raw , it’s ok , but they might be spoiled after one week .

I make chia seed pudding sometimes for desert with heavy creme, sugar-free almond milk, vanilla extract and stevia, I stir the chia seeds to try to incorporate the seeds into the liquid and then refrigerate for about a half hour. So what your saying is the chia seeds that don’t turn gelatinous are just passing through the gut and the omega 3’s are not available for those ones? Thanks again!

Funny- my Russian-moslem haircutter in Baldwin, L.I. All she ate was seeds, and I think she was also a vegetarian- she always had that gray look- not pink n fleshy like the rest of us... anyway she died at 39 or 40 from ovarian cancer...
Quite a shock to all of us as she thought she was doing the correct eating habits...

Dr. Ekberg, I would greatly appreciate it if you would advise on sources of DHA and EPA for people who are allergic to fish and seafood. The allergies may be to proteins rather than the oils. However, my very cautious trial of fish oil capsules left me with a very unhappy gut. I didn't have the horrible purging I get from fish and shellfish but it was too unpleasant for me to be willing to repeat the experience.
Given the archaeological evidence for the cracking of long bones and cracking of skulls, and ethnographic evidence for these actions hunter gatherers who have no access to fish or aquatic foods, I'm assuming that bone marrow and brain are good sources of DHA and EPA.
I'm not keen on the idea of eating brains, but I do regularly make and eat bone broth. I also occasionally splurge on marrow bones for roasting.
I eat eggs and dairy products - the pastured versions are beyond my pay grade. I'm aware that the commercially farmed products are not as good a source.

So much, that the oil from it is given to older horses to relive their joint pain. It won’t go rancid like flax as it has natural antioxidants including vitamin E. The oil has a very high smoke point and I use it for frying foods.

While I’d agree with the list, I’d more positively rate sacha inchi considering its other nutritional (particularly vitamin E) content. Everyone considers peanuts to be a good source of vitamin E, but sacha inchi is a very good substitute for them in terms of taste and the omega-6/omega-3 ratio. Flax and chia are not great for vitamin E; sure you could get vitamin E from avocados, but they’re higher in the omega-6/omega-3 ratio than sacha inchi. Overall, pairing all four of these and more in a well-rounded diet is best.
