say it again, the 4 ingredients?
Big YES
❤❤❤ This conversation came at the exact moment that I needed it, and with the wisdom and encouragement necessary for me to get back on the right path! 😊 😊😊 ❤
@lewishowes -- I actually enjoy the apple cider drink, because I add it to 2 cups of hot water with a lemon-ginger teabag and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
It is warm and comforting. I usually drink it in the late afternoon when I need a moment to pause and get centered. It feels like a mini self-care retreat where I take time to nurture myself.
Thank you so much for sharing this.... such amazing information... God bless
Yes, this made so much sense.🤩
1. Savory Breakfast over a Sweet one 2. Vinegar before Carbs 3. Veggie as starter & 4. Move after every meal , sums it all up. I have been doing these unknowingly and I feel great :-) Thx for these interview .
I start tonight with Dinner. My health has been going down for a while now and I'm 100% sure it's from eating unhealthily. Wish me luck.
would you please explain point 2. Vinegar before Carbs, thank you so much 🙏
So no oats with blueberries for breakfast?
@@tyty4774vinaigrette before lunch after which you are having a desert or sweets.
Thank you for the synopsis.
Okay so I decided to follow all her tips the last 3 weeks and I have never felt better and have lost 11 lbs. I have tried every diet but could not stick with it for more than a day because I love soda and brownies. So what I have done is eat 2 meals, start with 1 tbsp of acv in 8 oz of water, then eat a cup of broccoli, then chicken or beef, rice or potatoes, and then I let myself have a soda and a treat (brownie or chocolate). I then walk around the house for at least 10 minutes. I feel so much better, I can finally sleep, and my insatiable sugar cravings are much more manageable. I have been easily able to stick with it because it is telling me how to eat my sugar instead of trying to cut it out completely. This has changed my life and now I am down to just 1 soda a day at my 1st meal when I used to drink almost a liter a day.
Nice
Great job 👏🏼 congratulations 🎉
I once stayed off sugar for a month and lost 5 kilograms
Thanks for sharing
wow! congratulations!!
I'm a 70 yr old male whose been on a carnivore life style for 8 mths so literally no sugary (or carbs) BUT no more pain from my fibromyalgia or arthritis, lost 4inches off my waist, my grey hair is going darker and thicker, and amazing clarity of thought and extra energy.......I eat 18/6 with no effort and no need to count carbs or calories....... it's done it for me
I have done that I can't for me I was thin lost weight. Now I eat carbs and follow Coach Greg and Dr Mike Israetel two body builders and for the first time my body composition is responding pretty well and i can wear shorts sleeves shorts and I have muscle mass. I thank them a lot.
Well done, so glad you are feeling healthy and fit.
As far as the vinegar goes why couldn't you just eat a pickle? Would that still work?
I've healed from autoimmune disease through the carnivore diet so I don't doubt the good it's done for you.
What's really great about this information is that if it ever happens that you decide you would like to reintroduce a more omnivorous way of eating that you can do so without completely wrecking all of the great work and healing your body has done on the carnivore diet.
@chrisgraham6148 in the carnivore diet, do you eat oils? Veggies? Any book or guidance for the carnivore diet? Thanks Thanks
I love Jessie's voice, could listen to her talk all day
I kind of felt the same way....like I can listen to her talk all day for sure
She is also a very knowledgeable and charming person!
Voice only?? ... and looks.. they play a major part...
Me too. A rare thing among women.
@@Valhalla369and her sweet smile .
In my opinion Lewis has been the best interviewer of Jessie soo far. Both of you were a pleasure to watch.
Thank you so much for your feedback 🙂
@@lewishowes Yea, you were excellent. Great interview
Totally agree!! 👏👏
This was the best take on how the glucose spike happens. I never used to think about what food I ate untill I gained 50 lbs. Im 68 and with that weight gain came back pain, other aches and pains, headaches and weakness. I started looking at Ketovore, Ketogenic, and Carnivore. I really dont like going by a "diet" Have lost a few pounds but fine restrictive diets to stressful.
You brought up memories of how I used to eat as a child. As my grandparents did, breakfast was savory, a meal of sausages or bacon or both, eggs, potatoes and homemade biscuits made that morning and a piece of fruit if needed. Lunch was usually a meal of a small raw salad to start, a small bowl of soup and meat, rice or potatoes, a few vegetables and a small bowl of fruit for desert, Supper was never past 6pm and little lighter than lunch. None of the the family, Grandparents to children were overweight. We were all very happy. We also didnt snack, Chocolate was a treatt for Christmas and Easter and pop was rare. A few a year. Im going back to the way I used to eat.
Any diet will work if you take out the PUFA. It's not the sugar. It's the unhealthy fat
That sounds amazing 👍🏼
Eating vegetables first, followed by protein, then carbs work for me. By the time I finished the veg and protein, I’m full and don’t even feel like finishing the carb.
My new favorite word is now "Glycated" (turning brown on the inside) 😥That really got me. I think I heard more beneficial information from this one hour than I have from all the diet books and programs I've gone through for decades. I'm going to do every hack she recommends and see what happens.
What happened?
I have had a passionate interest in Natural Health for a few decades. This amazing woman with her hacks her intuition and her balanced approach and advice is the wisest voice I've ever heard.
I love how she refuses to say a food is bad for you. I totally agree what she says is so empowering and there is no fear mongering❤
Now I understand why my Maltese mother used to give me fresh fish, mushrooms, beans, eggs, and even chicken and broccoli for breakfast as a child before school and always, always, a salad bowl on the table for the evening meal that had to be put on my plate filling half of it and eaten first before anything else.
Not anymore now a days..Im not Maltese but My partner is Maltese.. I grew up basically like your when it comes to food..always had a good meal before going to school and go home for lunch. Never have experienced a lunchbox :) Our son used to have bfast ( weetabix) at home before school during his primary days..now savory bfast doesnt exist to basically almost Maltese😂
Yes going back old school really works. 😊
Watching this changed my life
Appreciate you for watching!🧡
This was one of the best interviews that I've ever heard/seen from Lewis :). I've been researching this type of thing for years.... she is ON POINT!!! She gets life and soul growth... Sending love to her!
Thank you for watching!
She said smoothies create a spike but what if you use the whole fruit juice and pulp. Does it still create the spike? Cause I am still eating the fiber
@@patriciacurtis3389 Chewing fruit and mixing it with saliva in the mouth produces a different type of pre-digestion than mechanically cutting the fibers and then swallow them.
@@patriciacurtis3389the difference is that in smoothies the fiber is chopped up And you are drinking it which means it gets in faster which is worse than getting it in slowly and non-chopped as when you eat the fruit normally.
@@patriciacurtis3389
You eat one orange. A smoothy has about 4 to 5 oranges. So you eat/drink a lot more calories!
One of the most fun interviews I’ve seen from different interviewers. I love how Lewis interacts and awwws at the others, unlike other interviewers that invite people don’t seem impressed and make the interview bland.
I found her yesterday and today she’s here as your guest, such a cute person and with an easy way to explain things. Great year to you Lewis!! I
One of the best interviews ever. Thank you!
Truly, I am so grateful for free information that you share on RUclips
YES! I really appreciate how she managed to simplify those complex scientific concepts by providing a lucid and straightforward explanation along with a relatable example.
I found this interview about 3 weeks into my most recent 'enlightenment' and have enjoyed immediate benefits from eliminating almost all simple carbs and buying and preparing whole vegetables, grains and fruits. Reinforcement is welcomed! I am trying to share my 'new'found knowledge with my family, or anyone with whom I discuss food. I was eating way too much sugar and bread, getting the jitters and always hungry. Things are stabilizing and EVERYTHING is improving. Energy, stamina, thought process, hunger pangs, and general well being.
I think this may be one of the very best shows on the entire channel. This is simple practical obvious and natural stuff anyone can follow and it works. This is how our ancestors lived. Makes total sense. I am very thankful for this episode indeed.
Big thanks for watching! I appreciate your support!
I am thankful I realized/learned these tidbits for myself over 35 years ago...and they still work so well today. 💜
Finally a healthy way to look at what I'm eating and not feeling pressure of the multiple diets I have done for 40+ years! Thank you for your kindness and wisdom.
You're welcome, thank you for being here! 🧡
Truly, I am so grateful for free information that you share on RUclips. You and others.
Good for you Lewis, that you never did drugs or alcohol to excessive degree. Great example to follow.
Thank you Jessie for the glucose spike hacks. Thank you Lewis for inviting this amazing person to your show. I made a summary and will send it to my sister in Africa who has diabetes. Thanks a bunch 🙏
Jessie I & Mindy Pelz changed my relationship with food forever. I’ve tested these hacks and coupled it with fasting around my hormones and lost 10-15 lbs in no time. I’m 5’9 and 143 lbs and have never felt better, more energized and clear minded. Ladies….these gals know their stuff. Also check out the episode with Mindy Pelz on Fasting Like a Girl!
Thank you. I'm looking for a way to get energized and out of joint pain.
I have Fasting like a Girl. Excellent information.
I have Mindy’s book fasting like a girl and it just seemed too complicated to me. I’m sure it’s good but hard to implement especially for busy people like me. I’ve done a combination of low carb and extended and intermittent fasting which is easier for me but apparently not the best for hormones. I have about 15 pounds left to lose. So many contradicting voices in the low carb space. Just can’t implement these busier regimens right now as I’m following a simpler regimen to survive.
Hi! Is the Mindy Pelz episode on this RUclips channel? Where can I find it? Thank you
I agree. Love them both. I’ve learned how to have good relationship with food just by listening to them.
One of the best health explanation ive heard, and I've heard many. When you think about it, it makes good sense. Its not what you do its how you do it, and its workable. Everybody is different and what may work well for one may not work at all for another. Great interview, clear cut info. Thank you, much appreciated.
Fasting made me have horrible anxiety and horrible panic attacks. At the time I was already stressed and this made it worse. I’ve kind of being doing what she’s saying unknowingly and I feel a much better.
That's because you were detoxing too fast. Learn how to fast properly or even better eat the correct food and you wont ever need to fast, which is not natural anyway.
Hint - humans ARE carnivores.
It doesn't mean it's bad for you. You just did it in bad Way.
On New Year's eve, I started a flu. 3 days in bed with fever, then slow recovery. The oddest thing is, I lost my sweet tooth of 70 years. I live an active life in Sicily, and still have a pistachio cornetto for breakfast (oops). But no cakes or biscuits anymore; no withdrawal symptoms. I don't weigh or measure myself. But trousers and a skirt that I couldn't zip up in December now fit me
Oh having a Pistachio Cornetto for breakfast, that is style ❤️
@@amethystfeathers7324 it is heaven 😄
"yes " , I enjoyed listening to all of what you both was saying.🙏
Yes! I'm an eating disorder therapist and I struggle with food issues myself. Currently I have been whole food plant based for awhile and due to digestive problems find that eating only breakfast and lunch works best for me. I'm ordering Jessie's books and I want to suggest them to some of my clients. Thanks so much.
“Your passion is what your soul wants you to go towards.” Wow

Wow, an amazing interview thank you. Being interested in health & wellbeing most of my life, I do apply quite a few of her suggestions. My weakness is also a sweet tooth, so I'm delighted about having some new ones I can implement 🙏👌😍🤩
This is great, after doing 36 hours fasts and having a major gallbladder attack and the yo yo dieting I have been doing this in many ways and because I eat healthy I have not gained any weight. This adds some new great advice

@@kavitachaddha3907 The root cause for most health conditions is in negative and destructive thinking. The body becomes ill when you feed your mind destructive and negative thoughts and feelings on a consistent basis. Emotions and thoughts are NOT imaginary and do carry weight. Sugar is a preservative & is functional in processed foods. I worked for a biscuit (cookie) company & always wondered why people got hooked on sweet snacks. I never had a sweet tooth I guess I am just lucky.
They? Whose they? It’s our responsibility to eat healthy it is a choice!
Try finding crackers or bread without added sugar, at a good price. And when you visit friends, try demanding they feed you bread that doesn't have sugar added. Even popular brands (e.g. Windsor salt) of SALT has sugar added! So what do you do, give up for yourself and the kids eating everywhere outside of what you prepare at home? The industry has a responsibility to us. E.g. Kellogs didn't want to add sugar to corn flakes, but his company overruled him. For shame.@@Butterflylovely5
Its not as easy a choice as you make out i cant even pick a pack of meat up for my sandwiches that has not got sugar in it, even a pack of plain cooked chicken legs has brown sugar on it. When you are living on a budget you cant afford the best meats from a butcher and have the oven every day cooking it.@@Butterflylovely5

I’m almost 30 minutes in and I’ve learned so much insightful ideas from her than my entire nutrition class!! Plus i love her French accent! ❤ another greats guest Lewis!
My experience is that most French people eat healthily. I remember the period when they were recommending no fats in the diet and I was thinking 'the French cook with butter and they seem fine'.
The Mediterranean diet is generally excellent too, with lots of olive oil. In Spain they say the 4 ingredients we should add to.meals every day are garlic, parsley, olive oil and lemon juice.
Thanks for sharing the 4 ingredients. I pretty much could've guessed, but its good to get confirmation. It feels good to know your on the right track.@@janetblanc7658

You’re welcome!
I so remember looking into the mirror and wondering, "Who are you??". I even told my husband about the experience, which lasted for many minutes. It was a real thing - as if I could see within myself and beyond, but found no answers. It may have been a stress response as she indicates but was unlikely food related. At the time, I was caring for my mom during the 5 years that she was slowly dying of heart failure. I was eating very well because she lived on a small farm and the vegetables and meat were largely organic and farm raised. I still occasionally get that feeling. It didn't really frighten me, rather it made me curious - very curious. I engaged in ' 'Tapping' and 'Havening' therapies after she passed on, because, at that time, I developed an enlarged heart/afib and was doing everything I could to try to heal.I think both therapies helped - I am still on the healing journey, but definitely making progress.
This was fascinating! And so useful! I didn't realize that the sweetener in my coffee was setting me up for cravings every day!😯 Thank you!
