  • I’ve been using this autoclave for close to 3 months and it’s really leveled up our production.
Here is a quick overview of its functions and my pros and cons on the machine.
This machine was purchased through Enrique at Desert Moon Mushrooms. Reach out to them if you are interested in purchasing.

    Thanks for the honest review!
For those wondering prices are roughly 3000$ delivered for the base model.
We work with the manufacturer to get custom machines made.
For example this unit is in US units and can reach 30psi usually. but in many local jurisdictions anything above 15psi would require additional annual permits and inspections so we can have them derated to 15 psi.
Lead times suck but bulk ordering and direct shipping from manufacturer is how we are able to keep the price so low.
2 months lead time for a non modified unit (deg c, 30 psi)
3 - 4 months for modified units but can be longer depending on customs and world events (covid shutdowns delayed Justin's order a bit)

Thanks for the honest review, I'm currently running 2x 23qt prestos and really looking for something more efficient on a larger scale. I'm UK so will have to probably order from China so like u said with lead times it'll be long.
Love the timer function I'm always waiting for them to finish before I can relax as heard so many people forgetting or accidentally letting them run dry.
Love the fact that it's just plug and play! I was expecting it to be 3 phase and have to all be installed by an electrician.

Thanks a million for this review, I honestly believe if you were into selling the spray and grow kits this would be ideal for sterilizing bulk substrate bags ie :20 x 4.5 lb bags at a time, 2 runs a day ,200 kits a week!
    Food for thought…

How do you operate? I bought this recently but still couldn't operate even after following manual. It sucks 😞. I set 2 hours time, 121C for temperature, put 1 for pre, then. Press ENT button for grain sterilization. After that it goes only upto heating from ready. It never goes to sterilization and END from heating. It just keeps showing heating whole day. Please help how do you operate? Thanks

      This happened to me too.
It stayed on heating for me because it wasn’t able to get to the set temp before the pressure release valve would blow.
Try lowering your set temperature and pay attention to when you pressure valve releases.

Thanks for quick reply But if I lower the temperature below 121C how it will sterilize ? Here it never reached 121C , reached up to 120C and then pressure valve keeps releasing automatically

Any advice on loading it? Mine keeps having burst bags and overcooked grain. I ran it at 121C for 3 hours with 30 3qt bags.
