Luckily that's genetically impossible since this is Cordyceps militaris, and the species you're talking about is an entirely different genus, Ophiocordyceps unilateralis. Both of these fungi evolved to metabolize hemolymph, the bug equivalent of blood, and physically cannot survive in the human body. Phew, right?

this is a super nutrient-rich food, in East Asia people eat this regularly, it only cost me 5 USD in hong kong, and its a decent amount for 4 people in a hot pot meal, probably 500g (mushroom are light weight tho)
My actual favorite is finding dead trees with Oyster mushrooms. Then you get that and fry in a pan with bacon grease... everyone enjoys it, it is actually tasty because of the bacon flavor.

Every week day i have to walk through a grass verge to get on the main road & last week there were NO mushrooms (that I noticed), but 2 days ago I noticed a couple of large yellowish mushrooms, looked around and there were loads! I LOVE this.. I’ve been looking from afar at growing mushrooms for as living .. I really want to.. feels a bit overwhelming though as I’m no scientist 😐 but I love cultivating my house plants and it feels like the next step ..
Mushrooms are not actually plants, so cultivating them is very different in many ways (from what I've learned so far)
Depending on where you're from I do suppose it's possible to grow them for a living though

Mushrooms aren't like acid. You don't hallucinate, you just see some colors, and things move. I've never heard of anyone having a bad trip on shrooms.

I grow all kinds of mushrooms. Shiitake maitake lions mane blue pink pearl king oysters reishi wine cap
the fact that those mushrooms specifically grow out of moths blew my mind, and that you can cultivate them on something so cheap since a lot mushrooms seem to need hard wood substrate
They grow really quickly as well.
Every week day i have to walk through a grass verge to get on the main road & last week there were NO mushrooms (that I noticed), but 2 days ago I noticed a couple of large yellowish mushrooms, looked around and there were loads!
I'm amazed at how many, & how quickly they grew. I'd love to know what type they are!?
