He probably got the good stuff in the back.
You KNOW they got the bruised baby blue’s somewhere
Psilocybin. Yes, it's everywhere. It's the stuff that makes people okay with dying.
@@bear1050 ahaha hell yeah brother!
It's all good stuff. Some is just more experiential than others.
I love their passion and excitement about mushrooms. Mushrooms truly are a fascinating organism and have so many benefits to our planet.
Without molds nothing can live
got a pink oyster block for Christmas, and it fruited probably 3 lbs of beautiful mushies, that were delicious. Stuck the block on top of the fridge with a small light on it, and time lapsed it with a go pro, really cool to watch, but def the easiest and one of the most rewarding growing experiences I've ever had.
I've heard so many wonderful things about magic mushrooms but I can't easily get some, Is there any realiable source I can purchase from??
I'm so interested in the experience but am terrified of having a bad trip
I did two grams last time, it was a thrilling experience and I enjoyed it

Got psych's*
This whole thing is pretty new to me, can I try 3grams?

I enjoyed this way too much. I love how much mushrooms were exxplained and the process.
I particularly enjoyed the mushroom growing expert explaining everything like im a complete moron and continually explaining how i simply cant comprehend a mushroom... personally i think our man has had too many mushrooms! But i digress.. the rest was fantastic
@@missionDan 1:20 He says mushrooms are dry and hydrate them with oil.
This guy trippin'

@@KCJbomberFTW Cool story bro
I love their non plastic packaging, I wish more vendors did this!
It's way more common than you think in the food industry, especially for produce, most people use waxed cardboard.
The use of plastic isn’t really an environmental issue, mushrooms when not used instantly should be stored in brown paper bags to ensure freshness
@@10nazz yes it is an issue
This is amazing, I love the science of food and I love the green environmental of packaging and locally sourced urban foods, more food and science please!
They are nacro cartel members. Science))
"Cause the thing about mushrooms is they don't have a lot of moisture and they're dry" - Chef in the beginning. 😂😆 Mushrooms are 80% to 90% water... At best he means they are like a sponge and will absorb the oil he's putting on it.

I used a few packs of smallhold mushrooms for a truly killer Thanksgiving side dish this year, turned out so so so good
I like to see such young guys doing so well with a unique "specific" product.
I can't imagine how proud these guys must be of the company they've built. What a cool way to make a living. Congrats, hope these guys keep killing it.
The product is art even before a chef gets hold of it 🥳🥳🥳
I’m not much a mushroom eater but they’ve always intrigued me and I love photographing them. They can make any picture perfect
try some different gourmet mushrooms. They don't taste anything like store bought ones
Great topic, and great thought out video! Keep this information coming!
Impressive video,
I live 40 minutes from Philadelphia , yet can't find a source to buy psilocybin(mushroom). Anyone have any ideas?

I just got some oyster mushroom grain spawn and dropped it in a bag with some cooked cardboard and rice. And that's how I got started. It's really fun, it works well and you get really tasty mushrooms. Only downside is that it takes some time. It's relatively cheap though. Like 5 euros for the grain spawn, that you can use for a ton of batches, and then some for plastic containers and rice.
Fantastic, so informative and impressive setup. This foodie is a big fan of what you do 😊
I've loved mushrooms my entire life, and this just....expanded my mind, a trip as he said, in the best way.

This was so damn cool. Mushrooms are awesome.
That guys explaination of how we don’t have the language for mushrooms was awesome.
it's not that deep tho
@@바보Queen It wasn't supposed to be deep, it was about the complexity of mycelium.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mycelium
No, we have the language for it, human language, the only language we have. And we have an entire discipline called Mycology where hundreds of thousands of people can explain exactly how mycelium works. Pick up any mycology book and the explanation is right there.
@@youssefrochdi1994 Right, and he specifically is saying that phrases like "mycelium digesting substrate" or calling the top part the 'fruiting body', both terms found in those books, aren't exactly the best words for it but they are words used to describe other plants and animals behaviors and mechanisms, and that the more this study progresses the more these words seem incorrect because of how these mushrooms actually behave. He's saying that these words were made to describe other things and miss the mark. Its like how cognitive science used to describe our brains as computers and now that's considered a reductive analogy, hes kind of saying the same thing but about the aforementioned phrases and mushrooms.
@@youssefrochdi1994 he was talking about the way we use terms like fruiting body, or bud... They use terms that are specific to plants, but they're nothing like plants and the terms aren't technically accurate because of that.

There's been studies with the Lion's Mane Mushrooms and the extremely beneficial health properties of eating them.

I love mushrooms! I just wish Florida where I live had the wonderful mushrooms I just saw! I'd use a package 3 times a week or more!🥰🍄
Order some spores and make some blocks
You can buy the spawns and grow them yourself. It's a fun hobby. You can buy a mushroom grow kit if you want something easier.
Amazing mushrooms are all around you in Florida walk into the woods after a rain.
You get to learn about them and see which ones are ok to eat or which ones will make you trip or which ones make you sick. I find it fun
Show us the room with the magic ones. Don't lie ! Great content

Mushrooms are amazing and unrated. They really are so good. I underestimated them and I agree they are a great replacer for meat. Not that I dont like meat I love it, but replacing my diet with more mushrooms and lentils has done wonders for me. Meat is more of a of a once or twice a week things for me now.

Seeing the wide variety of shapes, textures, and colors in mushrooms makes me wish that the US's general grocery stores had more diversity with their produce. Your best bet otherwise is to wait for farmers' markets to open... provided there are any in your area.
Unfortunately farmers markets are becoming scams too people just go to grocer suppliers cut the middle man and over price normal grocery food , hoping to some day have my own hard working mushroom stall at the local farmers market
Superb
I’ve been growing mushrooms for a good while now. I’m about to start the mushroom farm in the bronx
mushrooms!!! I wish this was in my area, there aren't any local mushroom providers for some variety besides bella, whites, and the odd portabella or shitake. I love mushrooms, they have such good flavor and texture!
Some markets also carry packaged dried mushrooms which can be quite good. I sometimes use them in pasta

Their cells 'walls' are made of chitin, whereas plants have cellulose. This means that mushrooms don't release their water as easily like other vegetables. This might be what he meant \(O.o)/
