  • Reishi mushrooms are among several medicinal mushrooms that have been used for hundreds of years, mainly in Asian countries, for treatment of infections. More recently, they have also been used in the treatment of pulmonary diseases and cancer. Medicinal mushrooms have been approved adjuncts to standard cancer treatments in Japan and China for more than 30 years and have an extensive clinical history of safe use as single agents or combined with chemotherapy.

I've had some success growing Reishi but am still trying. Thank you for posting this--maybe I'll learn whatever I need to...my intention is to get Reishi into our local farmers market at a low price, so that more people can start using it. It has helped me sleep so much better, where pills no longer worked. Thank you again. Blessings to these farmers!

@@RG-zs4op Yes, North Spore is always good. Myc Tyson is my favorite. Some of mine didn't fruit even after a long time, after trying it so many ways, I believe I bought a culture from someone else that was genetically played out. This was a big lesson for me. Honestly if you are starting, I would order a kit from Myc Tyson.....his kitsch grow themselves, practically. Again it is the best sleep aid for me because I grow accustomed to pills and they quit working very soon, and I have had too much valerian root throughout my life for it to work. If you get a kit or something growing, I'll gladly share my tea recipe with you.

I got a pomegranate tree today. Should be able to get some fruit from it in 2 or 3 years. I figure I'll have to sell the pomegranates for about $5000 each to be able to make any money with my one tree farm but I'm keeping a positive attitude! hahahahaha

It is always amazing to me, how we rely SO MUCH on nature. You would think, with our knowledge of Genetics, chemistry and physics, we can just make the ingredients/components artificially....but no...we still rely on moldy logs and a ton of machinery to handle what nature provides for us.
