Scotty Kilmer, your a good person. I trust your advice about these different vehicles you posted on your awesome channel. 🗣️ Peace 😇😇😎😇😇
Scotty, just no "broke back mountain" hopefully. Cowboy.....
Hey what's your thoughts on 06 GMC canyon 3.5 Inline 5 cylinder?
Mine has almost 400000 km and still going ..
0:00 Lexus RX 350
7:27 Toyota Tundra
13:24 Toyota Sequoia
Thank you
I'm noticing a trend there.
Year?
I have a 2006 Tundra with 156k miles and I love this truck. It's kinda beat up but boy is it dependable.
What trim is the sequoia?
My girlfriend owns a white 2009 Lexus RX 350 and I own a 94 Celica. Thanks to Scotty!❤
I'm 63 and bought a 2020 Lexus Gs 350 1 year ago I am sure that that car was still be on my driveway when I die
O yes , 63 you are ready to go upstairs

@@kossy08 And that car will last that long
Scotty, I bought my 2015 Lexus GS 350 F in December of 2020. It had 58K miles.....now has 122K miles. Perfection. I think God sent it to me!
All good things come from God!
Had a 2013 I sold after driving it for a year for the same price I bought it for. Great car! I wanna get another one.
Can't beat Lexus. Worth every penny
Strange account copying my comments again lol.
Ya you can... It's called Honda
Thanks to you "Scotty" I bought my wife a Lexus RX350 2009 before prices went up during the Plandemic absolutely remarkable vehicle got a tremendous deal on it from a private seller with new tires THANKS AGAIN SCOTTY
You could have actually Googled this info. I Googled cars inexpensive to repair and maintain, and the Lexus came up. A lot of this info is found doing a Google search.
How much did it cost? Also was it a 2009 or 2019?
No folks it's not a typo Plandemic is correct😮
@SlickTV. Most of us know but half the planet was duped into poisoning themselves multiple times.
who cares the pandemic. why are you still talking about it. Why do you love politics so much. it does nothing in your life
I love my 2021 V8 Tundra. It will be in my drive way for the next 25 years.
6 mil subscribers damn Scotty you probably don’t even need to fix cars no more , You are a smart man appreciate you
He enjoys it though. And he also likes helping people. He is probably going to repair cars until he dies.
He’s a multimillionaire who wouldn’t know what to do if he ever retired.
RUclips don’t like you, I had to resubscribe to you, so you’re doing a good job telling the truth which they do not like
RUclips is EVIL.
They hate it when Scotty talks about how messed up Brandon is and what he's doing to the country.
Which he doesn't do@@oreally8605
Sounds about right
Ooo conspiracy theories
Lexus Toyota Toyota. Well I never would’ve thought 💭
Quality and reliability has a way of doing that to people.
He’s not wrong.
Honda is dead after 9 gen Civic.
@@GF-mf7mloh y.. 1990 & 2014. The rest were all junk !!
It’s true tho 😮💨
Thankyou Kilmer I been watching you since I went to trade school in high school back in 2017 for automotive you’ve help me a ton and still are!
I had a 2005 Silverado with the 5.3L V8 . Put 340,000 Miles on it . 2 water pumps , 2 sets of brakes and 2 serpentine belts and it ran as smooth as new. The transmission had started to slip a little. Made in America. I almost forgot, 1 set of spark plugs and 1 coil pack. Drove it 15 years with under $1k of parts.
I like the early Chevy trucks
The good ol days of Chevy before the Afm crap. Those were great trucks
@@niradzthis is the way…
@@christopherhamilton5557 absolutely.
340,000 Miles of country side and highway is the Equivalent of 50,000 New York city miles.
I am blessed to own one of 6000 made 2009 “Pebble Beach Edition “
RX 350’s
At 185,000 miles on it, the paint quality Is unmatched. The fit and finish is still solid with the doors closing with only a slight touch. The interior seats are as nice as the one in this video.
I change the oil and filter every 5,000
miles using Mobile 1 full Syn. with no oil loss between changes.
I’ll never trade or sell this car I love it that much!
Thank you Scotty. Keep on doing what you’re doing.
I just bought a 2009 Toyota Scion xD a few months ago, with 206,000 miles on it & the inside & outside looks good, & rides good too.
Yeah that's not good.
@@johnsmith1474 Its a Toyota....... If it was taken care of its going to last a long time.
Some years Scion XBs burn oil.
Thanks Scotty on the compliment for us Canadians . I actually worked on the new construction build at the Cambridge plant , not only do we build the vehicles well, but also the buildings that make the vehicles . lol 😆
got my wife one. 2000 RX300 143k miles for 2k i put a full tune, plugs coils and injectors. foe 1k. as new 3rd owner. Awesome best. mine is a GS300 1998 172k was driven hard. put in a jdm engin and trans. 3k. the best car I have ever owned. ho there the same color. Gold lol
My 2002 rx300 got 272000 miles. Very reliable car. Just pay attention on shifter cable bushings. Got mine fix today. You can look up on RUclips.
2010 RX 350, absolutely love it. Never going back. Will drive this one for a few years and buy another one and keep this for my weekend knock around vehicle
First thing I want to know about any car is whether it connects to the internet. For me, NO is the desired answer.
I can't stop having trouble with powered windows. People tell me to get with the times, but some technology is awful or awfully built.
😂😂😂😂
Lol nice priorities
@@MBarberfan4life:
Ditto. '05 Chrysler 300. Front windows locked in the up position. Can't tell if some mechanic glued them or if it's a computer issue. I don't think it's the overlimit switch because both locked up simultaneously.
@@MBarberfan4lifeIt depends on the car , over the years we have had a lot of cars from various brands , and definitely some brands cars are definitely better made , out of all the cars we have had , Toyota and Lexus have been generally a good peg or two above the rest , we’ve had 20 and 30 year old Toyota and Lexus models with everything still working including the electric windows 😊, as opposed to some other brands that basic items like electric windows, controls in general started to play up at about 7 years .
In saying that , all cars regardless of brand will have issues at some time, but definitely some brands are overall built to last . And I think you can see that by the amount of repeat customers certain brands get.
Lastly , you still have to do your homework, because mechanical trends over the years change , and some of the older simpler but refined technology was and is just better .
My last car for example was a more basic big family Toyota sedan commonly used as a taxi in my country with everything you need with none of the gimmicky technology crap of today , it had a 13 year model run , so you know it had all the bug’s well and truly worked out, it’s now 7 years old , it doesn’t leak oil , it runs like a Beauty, and only had general servicing, NA 3.5 v6 , 6 speed old school conventional auto, it’s a good car that will see me out.
Scotty, I really appreciate ya. I’ve learned a lot from your videos and don’t plan to stop as long ya pop em out 😊
I have a 2002 RX 300, 80K miles only, bought it new, what an excellent quality! I’m a retired mechanic, only had to change the front brake pads, rotor at 60K , changing oil, filters around every 10k. Since I’m in the California desert, no rust, everything looks clean, like new. Sometimes I feel a little embarrassed to drive a 22 year old car, but she feels and looks great, wouldn’t replace it with any new one😂
I own a 2015 RX 350 F! Bought the car used 6 years ago with very low miles. So far it has been very solid. All I’ve ever done is change the oil ,tires and brakes. It is very smooth, very comfortable and very reliable. I would never get rid of it and watching your video just reinforces that feeling. I most definitely will not get rid of it.
Just saw a Toyota the other day with 704,000 miles on it.
Pretty well put together these cars , we had a 1990 Land Cruiser Sahara in the family bought 2nd hand at 20 years old with 125,000 miles on it , 4.7 litre V8 auto , it ran like a clock and still drove like a beauty , a big solid SUV/station wagon with all the bells and whistles , a thirsty big girl and not sports car by any means, but a good family cruiser , put another 60,000 miles on , did nothing but service it , it still ran like a clock , we sold it because we had too many cars , and got the same money we paid for it.
Kinda funny when you look at all these complex throw away electric cars, people buy them and sell them the next year for half the price.
I bought a 2015 350rx here in Florida with 43000 miles. I had a 2010 with 110000 miles that my brother in law wanted badly so I sold it to him and got the 2015 350rx last year for 23 thousand, a little high but they don't give them away! I will drive this car forever it is black with darker tan interior and looks like new. Drove a 2020 and the 2015 350rx to me drives better. Also have a 2009es with 130000 miles and just put a starter on it with surprised me but my mechanic only charged me $389.00 compare that to the dealer bid major difference! Love this channel watch every thing you do scotty! Keep it going !
My 2008 Lexus RX 350 has 311000 miles on it and no issues still runs perfectly
My rx300 lexus runs strong and smooth @270k , regular scheduled maintenance ❤ goes a long way .
My 2006 RX400H that I bought from my father when I was 16, had 250,000 miles on it, I’m now turning 23 in 3 months, and the car has reached 370,000 miles. It was my hunting vehicle, as well as my dads before me. I have driven it to Canada and back from Minnesota, during a blizzard both ways. Colorado and back twice, and drove up the rocky mountain National park to 14,000 ft elevation 3 times. It has been out on frozen lakes with a foot and a half of snow many times. It’s also been a small-medium sized towing vehicle, hauling logs, a four wheeler, dirt, rocks, and many other things. As well as the many hours this car has sat idling before high school, after highschool, just hanging out with friends, and the many times it has sat to warm up during the winter before my dad went to work and I went to school. I have taken it to the same mechanics my father did and the worst “repairs” caused from the absolute brutal wear and tear my father and I put the “Mad Maxus” through was an axle. My father was involved in a couple accidents with it, never totaled and no one was injured but other than those repairs. The only things done to this car have been your normal full maintenances. It has served me well over the 6 years, 100,000+ miles, I have driven it, and the many places it has taken me. There is a mount that I think is broken and when I accelerate, especially on an incline, something bigger is jittering in the engine bay, and it happens when the hybrid system engages. We have come to the conclusion that we aren’t going to do anything major anymore to keep up with it and I just drive it like a grandma and hope it doesn’t break on me while I save for a new car. I do think the amount of hours on the road as well as idling on and off because of the hybrid, heavy use and slight abuse, is the reason there is the “jittering”, after 370k miles phphph 😂
Amazing!
Always learning something new.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤❤
Brought a 2016 for my wife in 2023 after we had a 2016 in 2021 that gor totaled... Loved both of them
Thanks Scotty. Bless you.
2014 IS250...125k and smooth as silk
Still driving my 1995 Lexus ES 300 114, odd miles runs great..
My Lexus RX400h has 256k miles and still going strong💪
Did you ever change the hybrid battery?
Once. Around 200k
Looks like your driving that Tundra on Broadway near Art and Witte museums. I really like this video. Thanks for posting because alot of us go in blind when it comes to cars. It's a solid 👌
The LEXUS RX330 is stupid good.
I had a 77 T Brig I bought off my uncle in 1987. It had the 351 Windsor. It had 206,000 miles when I bought it. I had it until 1989 when the engine went at 286,000 or so miles.
We have a 2008 RX350 with 182k miles. Nice ride, decent power, roomy for four. Have had the typical issues: dash cracks, rear drivers side window trim flew off at 155k. Replaced the ignition coils twice. Roughly 20mpg combined on 93 octane. It does go through brakes but it is an suv.
Good show 👍
I had a 2007 Camry XLE with that beautifully engineered 2GR-FE V6. Sold it for more than KBB after 12 years and 278K miles on it. Still ran like the day it was made. Maintenance cost? 1x Alternator. The remaining MX items were wear and tear. I intentionally decided to swap out TX fluid at 170K and went through tires/brakes as needed. That engine was so darn good I decided to get a 2011 Camry SE in Bacelona Red with that same 2GR-FE. Found out a quick way to swap out coils/plugs that didn't require removing the intake manifold. Did on both cars in my garage. 2x cars=12 coils+plugs in less than 4 hours and filmed it all to share right here on YT. IMO I think the Gen 6.5 Camry is and still is the best looking variant of Camry. The newest Prius style might sway me as I've always said my next one will be hybrid and AWD. Toyota brought their game and I might just re-play the Camry card.
i had a toyota corolla for 10 years with 300k KM . the only things i change is aircon fan, aircon clutch. Never oil leaks, electronics never fail, engine, gearbox no problems. spare parts are cheap and labour cost are low as the parts are so easy to change and took little time.
The only tradeoff is, it doesnt look cool, no fast pick up ( torque).
if it is for A to B. It is perfect reliable, low maintenance car that can run on and on...
Just my personal experience.
I just left north park lexus in san Antonio as a technician. I can vouch for the rx350. Its very rare you will have a used car traded in with a check engine light light on & if they do most the time its a sensor
EVERY CAR NEEDS MAINTENANCE!
We just got a 2009 toyota highlander. Has more pickup and rides better than my 2020 ford explorer work vehicle.
I have a 2014 RX350…145,000 miles ..I go car camping in it on the weekends…Lexus is crazy reliable 💪🏻
Scotty (or whoever), I love the little pics you put in the top right corner!!!
My 2020 Honda CR-V was made in Canada as well, specifically Alliston, Ontario. Like Toyota's, the Canadians do a good job manufacturing Honda's as well.
That Sequoia was a pretty good find for $5,000. It has almost 200k miles on it, but it should last another 100k at least, and the amount I drive, that would last me until I expire.
Hello Scotty, I enjoy watching your videos very informative. I recently purchased a 2013 Infiniti G 37. It has 75,000 miles on it. The Carfax says the vehicle has been maintained properly, but there are some details missing. at this point should I be concerned about changing spark plugs, servicing the cooling system and transmission, I would appreciate your input thank you so much
Dear Scotty, I got a "wonder car", lasted 16 years so far with just the basic maintenance. "Lucifer" is a 2008 Pontiac G6. Before this one, I had Buik, Ford and GM all of them were in and out of service with all kinds of problems.
Scotty what do you think about the Lexus RX Hybrid, still a great buy or are you recommending only the fuel type (petrol or diesel)?
When I parted ways with my '07 Saturn Aura 3.5L V-6 199K miles, my wife likes the Acura '06, AWD MDX, so we got that 140K miles. I did replace the after market audio with the factory so I could have some, I just wish I was better than 12 something MPG.
Houston Scotty is the best Scotty
What years would you suggest for the Lexus? Love your videos Scotty!!
I currently own a 18 year old Toyota corrolla 1.4 vvti - the goal/ dream car is a 2007 Lexus IS250 auto, I'll get there eventually 🤞
Scotty , love your videos!
Not sure when this video was made but that RX350 can’t be 11 years old! That body style is 04-09, I own a 2011 RX and a 03 ES. Love them!!
Scotty I think the Ford 350 Windsor owners wanted the 351 Cleveland. The Cleveland was by far the more powerful engine. I had a guy swap me for my broke down 1970 Cougar with the 351 Cleveland for a Windsor. I was 17 at the time and needed a car. He offered to do all the work of swapping the motors out, all he wanted was that 351 Cleveland in exchange. It put the engine in his race car.
Scot, pls send me the link of where u bought that sunglasses of yours..I think it'll be very cool for me too having that. Thanks for the vlog
My Lexus RX300 is the same way. Very reliable and comfortable. I have over 232,000 miles. Oil changes every 4,000 miles. My RX300 was made in Japan. I bought it from Private owner for $2,300. Old Toyoda will last forever 🐢🐢🐢🗽🗽🗽💯💯💯
Thanks scotty
The Toyota Sequoia is a pretty clean example though!
Toyota sienna 2006 194k miles starts up in 0 below 2011 ford explorer 172k miles still runs great also 2 Hondas and they lasted over 10years forget the mileage
If I had enough money I'd probably get a Lexus too. As it stands I got a Mazda3 instead. Hopefully that lasts a while.
Torque spec nice n tight
You forgot to show us how much rust this vehicle has on the fenders.😮
Man tempted to get a 24 rx, but that twin turbo is scaring me away
I have a Mercedes 190 D 40 years old Everything works as the first day. First colour on the car. It’s my daily driver.
Love ya Scotty, thank you for always giving people the truth. I actually live in South Carolina so pretty cool you mentioned my state. I definitely gotta agree with you when it comes to Toyotas. I like Hondas and Mazda's too personally. Love what you do giving people the truth and making the world a better place. God bless you man.❤️🔧
I've got a 2000 f150 with 450 miles. All original.
I just love this subscription. This guy tells you like it is. He's super great
Scotty, I'm considering soft top SUV's. Would like to have manual transmission. Jeep Wrangler JLU vs Ford Bronco. Durability is a concern. What are your thoughts?
Evertthing needs "Maintenance"!Cars ,People,Homes You name it!
Not a fkn Ford ranger
These older Toyota products are great, but "No Maintenance"???? Come on, Scoty.
My parents owned a 1991 Lexus sedan with 450,000 miles on it and it still ran perfectly. Unfortunately, the car was destroyed in a hail storm.
Hay what’s your thoughts on a 2019 Toyota CHR
Toyota/Lexus probably the best you can get!
2nd best. #1 is Honda
Old skool is always the best
I bought a 2014 Lexus is250 fsport from a Lexus dealer with 107k miles and the radio gps stopped working six months into me owning it. Haven't had music in ages
Scotty is digging out old Houston videos.
I know of 2 circumstances where the 3.5 V6 needed to be pulled from these vehicles to fix a timing cover gasket cost lots of moolah, so no, they are not without cost to own
We had a 2919 Lexus RX450h, which is the hybrid version of the RX350. We got it because our daughter got one and loved it. The only reason we traded it was because the 2021 had an option for a bird’s eye view camera display as opposed to the 2019 backup camera only. We call it our $30,000 upgrade.
We love this RX450h, just like we loved the 2019 model. I can see owning this for several decades. Seriously. Given how well designed and built it is, and how it performs with fuel mileage, more than adequate power, and being loaded with all the creature comfort option, it makes no sense to replace it. Ever. This is our first truly “forever” vehicles.
As the RX450h is the same as the RX350 with a hybrid engine and motor, everything Scotty says about the RX450h is just as relevant.
BTW, I love following Scotty’s posts. He is spot on.
Agreed these are some good cars for average civilian use.
that's normal for Lexus & Toyota oh and as for the engines in the mustang there was also a 351 Cleavland a 360 etc. over the years
Mazda tribute 2001 6 cylinders. Paid $800 for a used one.
Put about $2000 in 6 years for wear/ tear. I had 170K on it and now 223K. I think this is OK! WHEN YOU DO NOT HAVE A BUDGET , THIS WOULD DO FOR NOW😪
Seqouia ftw. I have a 2003 with 106k. Last car I'll ever buy.
I bought 2021 one last week, for 38k$ with 9k miles. Its a mid option it had all the option except from HUD and panoramic roof. I love this car, like brand new.
Kinda hard to wrap your mind around the fact that you will most likely not have to work on your car for the next 10 years or so isn't it?
You can have an engine and transmission that last forever, and that used to determine vehicle life. But now, a bad computer, video screen or intermittent wiring gremlin can make an otherwise healthy vehicle too expensive or unreliable to keep. Even an expensive AC repair can kill it.
Saying no maintenance is wrong! If you maintain it you dont need to fix it often. I bought a tacoma and it wasn't maintained properly I got it done and what a difference. I'll keep it from now on
Scotty I took your advice and put 505 CRO + 505 CRF in my gas guzzling V8 - 2003 Ford Expedition 5.4L Triton.
After changing the oil and finishing off the tank over the following week I refilled... and my "Mileage until Empty" reading jumped from its normal 340 miles to 444 miles. Is this possible???
Hey Scotty have a question have a 2002 crv and fuel gauge is not working I tried putting a new fuel pump and bought a whole new cluster and it is still not working any suggestions on what to do ?
I had a 07 Mitsubishi lancer from 2010 to 2022 put over 220k miles on it then it finally took a dump on me no major repairs needed. I guess thats not on the level of these vehicles but i would get a Mitsubishi again in the future.
do a video about infinity fx35 2008 made in japan
You forgot the Buick LaCrosse/Lucerne
Wonder if Scotty has ever done a review on a Sienna with a 3MZ-FE
How long ago was this video made? Today is 05.26.24. What a great car to own.
G’day from aus I’m currently driving a 93 Mitsubishi Magna 260000 kilometres drive’s like new none of your new cars are built this good
my traction control is just broken (if the xmas tree on my dash is to be believed), but it still doesn't squeal the tires
Hey, Scotty, what about Lexus RX 450h 2009-2012? 👀
Hey Scotty! You never said anything about the volume of the engine. It' looks exactly like the V6 in my 2000 Toyota Avalon, and it's got 160,000 miles on it and running like a top.
I thought you did a video a while back warning people of the 3.5?
