Hahahahhahhaha it's so funny hearing the word "numpty" somewhere not around me. Our household abuses the hell out of the word. Very, very good word mind you
For the cost i don't think you could beat that for performance on the day and as always goes to show if you don't crash you can be really competitive... Quick question why do you transport your cars with the wheels off ? great video as always.
With rubber I bag my tyres to keep rubber in better condition and tyres last longer . . . Because we bounce between so many classes never sure when we will run them again. Which foams I don’t want to flat spot them through pressure . Again never know how long the car is going to be left before using it again.
Y 40 quid? Impressed you could buy anything CF not thrashed for 40, let alone 2 12th scale chassis. Tires definitely needed to be shaved down to be competitive 1st thing. Your motor/esc definitely let u down. Any racer knows u should be @ full throttle 10% of the time imho max. Different gearing maybe? I am more impressed @ the effort of all your local clubs racing on non-dedicated tracks, apparently in gyms. Kudos to the diehard organizers & set up volunteers. Fun experiment & more importantly you got out & raced for a day! Good for you! Setup time, let alone making a vid of it had to be a time crunch. Well done! & you didn't appear to be holding anyone up. 12th scale is also such a finicky class indoors. No camber gauge even. Just go out, have fun & race. 👏👏👏 PS Please tell me you rebuilt/relubed the used diff pre race @ least. 😅
Man you sound soo picky imho, just let the man race without the fun police telling him how much throttle act to use, please tell me your not like this irl 😂. Great vid.
Gearing was max for the roll out and motor was coming off hot so I know I could not have got much further with what I was running… this way I get to do a follow up video once I’ve made some changes… Did not even check the diff as I gave the wheels a twist and it felt alright
I am late seeing this video. I thought the car and you did a great job. Your laps were clean and you stayed away from the pipe the majority of the time. You showed another person's car. But, he was running a 13.5 and you were running a 17.5. That's a big difference.
@@PopalongRC If you're allowed to run a 13.5 that would help. If you're restricted to a 17.5 I guess the obvious thing would be to talk to the local racers about gearing.
Super interesting, I just found a used Atom cc. I drive in France in LMP12 and I hope to like this category which is well shunned in France. When you say super stock the engine is limited How many turns?
@@PopalongRC Agree like us in the lmp12 league seeing that no one has been riding a modification for a good number of years. Well, a big thank you for this video which is a little dated but I say them I will receive my GT12.

Lots of people have hinted at longer videos
We will see how we can add length without compromising quality

Sometimes it the perfect word to use and this was such a moment
Great little low cost build. Very nice track .
Cheers blue
It was a challenging track … great for honing skills
I love my atom 2! I'm new to gt12 and still learning, but any issues are with me, not the chassis.
Atom 2 does look good … I know there is more in the atom 1 for me .
That's a steal of a price!
There are good deals out there on occasions

Cheers it’s all about enjoying the racing
Have you raced on foams you can carry a lot of speed without easing off the throttle and it will depend on the layout
Yeah but I could have done with more speed as the car was considerably slower in a straight line than all other cars on the day

About 8 weeks into this project now and the car is much better as you will see from the series of videos … still need to find more speed
@@PopalongRC If you're allowed to run a 13.5 that would help. If you're restricted to a 17.5 I guess the obvious thing would be to talk to the local racers about gearing.
I’m running 13.5 but there is a massive difference between motors an the ones I have are not good enough and the ones they have are out of stock !!!
@@PopalongRC What motor are waiting for?
Not sure now it appears the good ones are no longer available… need a decent 13.5
can thw gt12 be run on pavement or just carpet
I would not run it on path

13.5 for gt12 in the uk

Make sure to wire in a 1s booster for the servo.
Yeah have some boosters ready to go
why not go to the pace 95R esc? much cheaper than the xr10. not sure about what motor though
How do they compare
No one runs them at the club so I have no reference … the 45r is not enough though
You got 2 Atom 1's for £40!!! Omg!
First car is great second is spares repairs… but still a great deal and an opportunity for me to enjoy GT12 even more..
Regardless of its outdated I would have still raced it just for the hell of it.
I raced the older car but it was so much slower. I gained about 3 laps using the newer car .

Darn I wish they were running on 2s.
Would be interesting to see
How much hourly Atom kits in US dollars?
The Atom 2 which is the current model would be about $255 for chassis
Are those considered oil dampers?
Good question
They look like the size of a m chassis.
Actually a little smaller
Shorter wheel base and wheel diameter
13:06 fastest marshall in history!
Maybe we should do a video on marshalling … there are some great marshals out there and some shockers …
@@PopalongRC Marshalling is a skill that many don't have ;)
🤘y'all have a badass day🤘🍻🤘
Couldn't these chassis handle a 2slipo?
Probably could run a shorty pack with a bit of modifying. But rules state that it’s 1s for competition
@@PopalongRC they could have had competition with two s's.
