I just recently started LMP, and I can completely relate. Its ADDICTIVE as heck! Just so much fun, and as you said, the faster and harder you drive it, the better the car feels.
Totally agree, they are good at whatever you want to do with them, racing rallying some mild bashing, and fairly cheap to buy and fix. Winner all round.😊😊😊
I have this dilemma now with Leighton closing. I’ve got a TT01, TT02, TT01 truck, M05 and mtc race cars but nowhere to race them! Might have to buy a mardave mini (had one but sold it) to race at Wycombe or lmp car. 😬
Hi guys. Just watched the vid. I HAVE A FASTRAX NEVER BEEN USED FAST2006 TYRE TRUER. YOU CAN HAVE THIS FOR FREE IF IT HELPS YOU OUT. It is the manual version, without adaptors?. Love the content you are putting out, especially the banter.😁
I personally wouldn’t race in any motor limit class because all that promotes is those white deap pockets and time on their hands to but 10 expensive motors, and pick the best, buy new lipos every few runs and spend all week prepping their car, leaving the person who just wants to chuck it on the track with no hope. I prefer open classes where buying latest and greatest dosnt give a massive advantage
You claimed that before and it still makes no sense at all. You act as if people wouldn't/couldn't buy 10 of latest and greatest motors and new lipos every few runs in an open class. The only way to prevent people with deep pockets to take advantage of that is by limiting the amount of stuff you can field and/or giving out motors from a random pool.
Not with brushless it doesn't, the FWD class is all controlled stuff and is the biggest TC class at present and growing fast. When you take away traction it limits the gain from having a faster motor but it's rev controlled through the ESC as well
Try stock Tamiya truck racing. Torque tuned motor, nimh 3300's, one tyre allowed, tamiya or Montech shells only. Spend what you like, you're never going to blitz the others.
Pretty ignant, why don't you try it instead of just having an armchair opinion while you pump bashing content to the masses? Aggressive cycling of batteries only gives something in the last few percentage points of performance, you can be competitive without it.
I'd go Xray for the simple fact that Alexander Hagsberg and the support for the brand is amazing. And the X12 is capable of winning any race
Good to know
Not seen one of those as yet
That's what I want to get. Can't find one in the States right now though.

Battcave 100%. I love mine and it’s an awesome little chassis.
It is very tempting
The great thing about the TT series is how versatile they are. And with minimal effort can be ready to race.

Mini, Mini, Mini, Mini!!

Buggy racing outdoors as well
best 1/12th scale is a Kamtec banger all about a smash up maybe a little racing
i want to do some Rallying with my TT-02 :)
Been there done that the TT02 is quite good at rallying. See Mark Bryan videos on tips for ride height on the TT02, worth a watch.😊😊😊

Open is the way to go. Sucks people are afraid to run it. CRC rules with ease to drive and chassis setup also.
Maybee
Love Tamiya and your channel

That's cope. In stock 1/12, it's all about gearing, tire prep and carrying speed through the corner with as little scrub as possible.

Mini 100%! Lipo or Nimh?
Think Mini has to run nimh
