    I respectfully feel that this channel is more criticizing based on taste and just pushing a specific aesthetic. I’m not saying that the style advice is bad, it is actually quite good especially for people just getting into “style”, but not everyone want to look the like drones from clone wars dressed in the same clothes 😅✌️

    • @MensFashioner
      @MensFashioner  2 года назад +8

      I've been dressing my clients in high fashion and streetwear for 10+ years now and know most of the designers and creative directors personally. However, you're not wrong that we don't do streetwear or do much outside of the general standard basics on this channel because past that point, it's very specific to the individual, and also very hard to pull off well due to that. I'm talking to a general, more newbie audience here and showing them how the details matter, even though, yes, you can wear what you want, how you want it. I'm just showing things that most guys would miss who just want to dress better.
      I guarantee that in a group of 100 guys, 1-2 guys will dress how I propose. So in reality, dressing how I'm describing would make you stand out even more. It's just that noobs don't understand subtly and details yet. Hopefully they'll learn a bit of this on the channel.

    1. No need for change.
    2. You do not need to be afraid of colour, especially if the rest of your outfit is THAT neutral.
    3. (This Outfit would habe been perfect to integrate a wider, contrasting piece.
    4.This IS creativity, the outfit you described is way more basic.
    5. Works just fine, the contrasting stiching is timeless.
    6. Those trousers are very skinny. Period.
    7. no comment.
    8. This “rule“ is at max a guideline for beginners who do not know anything about colour, you can totally wear more than three, and besides the blue, everything is within the greyscale, so tecnically no colour.
    9. You basically say: “Express your personality but with minimal white sneakers, not with the minimal off-white slippers you choose.“ And “dress for your age“ is trash. Period.
    10. This entire “dress to look taller“ is overrated, it only works without any reference which is allmost never the case in real life. And in general I think that this advice only strengthens those insecurities instead of being ok. with your height.

    I think it's funny and a little obnoxious how she feels entitled to critique guys who are clearly far better than her at men's style like One dapper street and Alex Costa. Add Gents lounge and Tim dessaint to that. Just compare these guys to the ultra bland Dorian, her personal mannequin.
    Rafael is an ultra specialist at classic style, it's not for everyone to fully dress like that, but if you need specific advice when going to buy a suit for instance, he's the guy to go to. He's an authority, and if he says those gloves are ok, they're ok , and it's not Ashley who can say otherwise.

    One thing about boots that I discovered. Women really love black combat boots! But they have to show the wear and they have to be REAL, issued boots. When I wear mine I get a lot of compliments and looks. I don’t think its the boots themselves that are overly attractive as mine are well broken in and beat up from actual field use but still dull shone, repaired and resoled as required. It’s the ex serviceman wearing them! 😀

      It's practical and prioritizes comfort, don't knock until you try it. It also borrows heavily from streetwear which is what people prefer these days since everything is much more casual. Seriously though try out an oversized tee at least once, guarantee you don't ever want to go back to your tight, fitted and uncomfortable t shirts srs

      see that’s where you are mistaken my friend. Most people think its just going 1 or 2 sizes up when thats false. Oversized t shirts have the same length as regular t shirts just having a wider fit. It’s comfortable and it’s recommended for bigger men. And even then, when done right, it looks good on anyone.

    I look short and frumpy in everything so it has become my signature look 😂😂. Sometimes it’s not the color of the polo as much as it is that the shirt is to small or to trim of a cut . Tired of seeing models wearing spandex undergarments and calling them normal men. If your shirt is that tight you will look horrible sitting down and really everyone no matter how skinny they are has a small muffin top unless you are wearing spandex underneath 😂😂😂😂z

  • @handsmcneil
    @handsmcneil 3 месяца назад

    The 1st one.. just the jacket ruined the look not the jeans, shirt, shoe combo. 2nd the gloves were a nice compliment to the pocket square assuming its cold enough for them. 3rd was decent. 4th look the jacket was the best part. The jeans and boots were awful tho. (I dont get why fashion people dont wear nicks or whites or even less expensive decent real work boots. They look better and are objectively higher quality.) 5th looked fine. I just hate chelsea boots. They always scream.. I call triple A to change my tire. 6th was super sharp. 7th fit was awful head to toe. The coat and ballcap are sorta acceptable but not together. 8th looked like any college kids outfit on any given day. Grey sweats are such a sleazy look tho. Let alone the grey sweats and hoody combo suggested here. Nothing screams strip club and chicken grease like grey sweats. 9th looked like he was trying his dads clothing on. 10th look was ok. I agree with the shirt and cardigan critique mostly. I think just a lighter color cardigan that was a little washed out and not bold in any way would be fine as long as it didnt blend with the shorts. And the shorts and shoes were fine.
