I'd love to see you crowdfund the total rehabilitation of a derelict back country cabin. Create a canoe posse, everyone hauls in new wood and materials, everyone spends a week redoing the foundation and roof, bringing new forestry tools to leave there, really making it a destination. Not only do I think it would be lots of fun for all of you, I think it would make a fantastic video, or even a series of videos. Or you could even find a location with no cabin and build one from scratch. Something like that would be pure magic.

I just found a channel where a guy in the state of Maine fixes up old cabins that belong to an organization in Maine . They are about in the same condition as this one or a bit worse. He replaces rotted first course logs, jacks them up level ,roof repairs or new tin ,porches and what ever else they need. He spends a summer on each. They are for use by anyone . They are on one of the big rivers in Maine so getting materials to some is by canoe ,some you can drive to.

I’ll never get there but I know that those who do will appreciate your efforts. Oh, and glad to see you trying to limit your exposure to dust (hantavirus?) when you swept out the rodent droppings, etc. Who’d think that you’d need to bring an N95 mask on a short trip into the wilderness.
