Better late than never, I suppose. I wanted to get this one out before you all head out this weekend for that spring bite. I recently bought a new camera and this was my first trip with it. Hope you don't mind a few audio peaks as I get familiar with the gear! Love you all
What's the white foam on the water? I really enjoy your videos although I have never canoed and know nothing about it but I love the scenery and your explanation of different features in it plus the things you guys do is so inspiring. Thank you.
great job! I appreciate how you complained about people littering, and then picked the garbage up ypurself! well done and thanks for taking care of our environment.
PB&J add Lays potato chips in the sandwich...salty sweet with crunch! I don't fish but I do backpack in the back country. I've always enjoyed your videos, especially the recent documentary to the Artic - you guys work really well together. Always a pleasure - thank you
Great stuff, glad to see you picked up the garbage and like your theory , “ If your gonna complain, do something about it “. Also, can’t begin to tell you how many 18/20 small dries I lost.
Oh man there’s different types of channels out there. Just watched an outdoor video where trash was used to make fire…. and you pick it up and actually take it away. Thank you for doing that.
Great video. I love the drone shots showcasing Nova Scotia’s beauty. Also, thank you for picking up that garbage and taking it home. Happy Fishing & Camping!
Love the adventures! Maybe consider switching to barbless hooks, or pinch your barb so that if your line breaks off, the fish can just spit out your hook and not have to swim around with it.
Man, great vid bud! I was right there with ya man, in spirit anyway. Loved them speckles. What a great way to spend a few days in the NS back country. That trip was the real deal, all the ups and downs. Thx for the trip!
Hi Noah, Yes the content is good, I have enjoyed all of the Northern Scavenger videos. Spring trout fishing is always high on my list of things to do, but this yr inAB the weather and fires may curtail fishing. Take care
Lol, I was cringing at the brook trout sacrifice. Cooked a lot of trout in my 71 years,but..... Anyway awesome video and thanks for sharing. P.s, my wife always gets the spots with the foam and she usually gets the biggest trout.
Really love the long trips. I Would like if it didn’t feel so rushed saying we need to do 45 Kms today. Maybe take a day or 2 in nice weather to just do some fishing and exploring! Keep up the content my dad and I are your biggest fan!
Use the muddler minnow , nice little video. Thanks for taking me along. I really miss camping and fishing. The boundary area is probably the best thing a politician has done for the outdoors and the fact that you could be on a non improved lake with no motors and cabins every where is just awesome
Just found your channel.. SUBSCRIBED!! Beautiful country there, beautiful fish and cool video. Really admire and respect your consideration of nature. Regards and best wishes from Palmer Valley, Oregon.
@@NorthernScavenger Can honestly say, that I greatly appreciate the effort put into your videos. Don't have a lot of "free time" right now... but I really enjoy your videos. They really help fill the gap. Once the spring time hustle eases up, I too will be out in the wilderness. For now though, I appreciate being able to live vicariously through your awesome videos!
One important correction: PB and J should be made by putting a thin coat of peanut butter on both slices of bread and then seal the jelly in between. The bread never gets soggy!
Loved the 3 day trip video. I used to do lots of trout fishing but limited to what I can now do because of bad feet and shoulders. Hopefully, get out and see how my shoulder is for fly fishing this year. Thanks for the video, tight lines! Tim
Pretty trout. I watched some trout in a small pool below a beaver dam shoot up out of the water nipping at flies in the air and then drop straight back down into the water, so fun to watch, I tossed a olive green bugger in and they shut down no takers. On a small stream hardly as wide as my canoe. Yes best time of the year just before black flies, which are out when we get a warm day. I was able to get out on a short two day trip that covered a local stream that dumped into a salt water tidal bay and then up stream and a few ponds back to my home, some nice to get out early in the spring.
Love the videos man ! Im itching to head to the backcountry as well but the trout season doesn't open here in Newfoundland until the 15th. Im counting down the days !
That looked so nice! Great fishing, great eating, great location. Thanks for the video. I've got to check out more of these Scotia wilderness areas. For under $120 you can get a Naturehike tent - it sounds like Chinese crap but it's actually Chinese gold. I have hundreds of nights on one, and it's never failed. I own 3 different models of their tents now. Cheers!
This video is a masterpiece, you should be proud of yourself for this work of art. I especially enjoyed the underwater brookie chase footage - well done!
GREAT VIDEO!!! Makes me want to break out the canoe and go on an epic adventure! I'm heading back to the East Arm of Great Slave Lake in a month and I am hoping to hike Pike's Portage...
Love this video . I retired a year ago and now I got my first ever fishing licence. I’m green to fishing and each time I go out to fish I learn so much about my surroundings. Watching you loose your bait makes me feel this is normal at any level of experience. I hope to see more videos of trout fishing from you and how you deal with your fish once you catch them for eating. Do you hit their heads on a rock or bleed them? Love how you are so gentle with your catch and release.
9:20 It appears dinner was bonked on the head with extreme prejudice. Probably gutted and seasoned for the skillet minutes after the catch. Talk about fresh brook trout!
What a great movie to watch today. Just what I needed. I watched it with a smile on my face the whole time. Loved the fish jumping, the sound of the stream running, camp amongst the trees and best of all the sounds of the paddles dipping through the water. It gives me a sense of comfort and freedom. Thank you very much. 💖
I love your trips. I am not really into fishing but the lovely weather and solitude, the spring peepers and bird song, and those few warm days we got in April made me long to get out. I love the part where you roast the 2 Brussel sprouts. Thank you for picking up the garbage. I have never understood the mentality behind littering. LEAVE NO TRACE.
Just what I needed to boost morale to know that someone is living the dream. Great video as always. I think you are going to struggle to improve as you’re hitting it spot on.
Hi there,... I've been following your channel a while. I like that you are grounded. I just revisited New Brunswick last week, visiting family. I live in New York. Love your channel ! Have you heard of the Rapid Raft from Chartered Supply ?
Nice fishing and really good camera work. Watch the burnt food as stomach cancer is not nice. Too many of us cook on the campfire flame and we should be patient and burn the fire down to a nice amount of coals before cooking which are better for cooking. Also, I have learned to add the veggies after the meat has been mostly cooked. Veggies need very little cooking and taste better when still a bit crisp. Consider bringing a bag of charcoal along if you have no portages. I bought a small Weber BBQ for car camping trips and picnics on the beach. Thanks for sharing your fishing adventure
Great video Noah. The trout are this color in Scrabble Lake in the White Lake Wilderness Area. Good place to explore if you haven't yet. Inaccessible except by canoe through portages. Definitely a overnighter type of trip.
Another great video. Try putting a small magnet with your flie box, that way if you drop a flie you can usually find it with the magnet. Thanks again for the video. Jeff
Noah Don't be afraid to troll those wooly buggers as you paddle along . Especially in the spring as the fish are in the shallows and looking up to feed.

What new camera did you buy?
Taking this camera back up to Nunavut?
@@CoCreateHappi Thank you! The white foam is from the turbulence frothing up the organically enriched water, which forms the bubbles

Amazing ! Thanx for the inspiring video!

Thank you for another wonderful video Noah. I trust your new camera survived its dunk.
Thanks for sharing sir
Hello. Very nice nature, good fishing 🎣
Loved that shot of the Brookie chasing the Wolly Bugger!
Thanks for the video Noah.
That was my favourite shot.
That second meal of ramen, trout, bacon and toasted brussels sprouts pretty much confirms culinary excellence, Noah.
Here we use same kind of wooly buggers in the spring on Southern Finland rivers.
Oh man there’s different types of channels out there. Just watched an outdoor video where trash was used to make fire…. and you pick it up and actually take it away. Thank you for doing that.
Way to go!!! If you're gonna complain about it, do something about it!❤
Nice little trip. Don’t worry Noah, I’m a lot older than you & I still love PB & J sandwiches!
Great video. I love the drone shots showcasing Nova Scotia’s beauty. Also, thank you for picking up that garbage and taking it home. Happy Fishing & Camping!
