  • This abandoned log home has been abandoned since since 2017 for unknown reasons. The driveway and front entrance has completely grown over. It would be amazing to sit here and enjoy a coffee and a cozy fire. Unfortunately the wood stove was stolen or the previous owner removed it.
Would you stay here for a weekend getaway?

    About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

Think you mean composting toilet. But if you're looking in the area maybe you get this place and property for back taxes owed to municipality? Or maybe elderly person passed no heirs. Change the appliances, clean, and redo the deck. Good chance for a deal...maybe.

Brent, you should seriously look into the current owner's status of that cabin. Sure it needs some work but, it will be a worthy investment for you. It's off grid sort of which is what you're looking for. Best wishes and good luck with an investigation about it.

What a shame it is abandoned. I did not see any sign of the roof leaking, that is was causes total destruction when water gets inside. It looks like it is still a good solid cabin. Should be worth a fair amount of money in it`s current condition. Somebody need to save this sweet cabin before it is too late, research through city / county records to find out who the owner is. Who knows, the owner may have died and had no family. It just seems nuts to leave it to rot away in years to come. Great video!

Looks like someone built it for a hunting/fishing cabin,, and just left it , maybe because of COVID. Or maybe just could not afford it anymore. Probably the best place you've come across as far as being well organized despite the dust. I agree with the person who said you could maybe just pay the back taxes. Tons of potential. Get a hazmat team to come in and give it a good clean.

Who hasn't dreamed of having a little log cabin get-away in the woods? I'm a bit jealous, but I am choosing to be happy that someone(s) dream came true even if it was cut short.
I'm wondering if the "dust" you noticed was a result of the log construction. What they put between the logs used to be called "chinking" and it had to be re-done periodically. They can actually be rather high maintenance -- more so than one might expect.

Hi Brent. Wow that place looks solid. Great find. Since you’re looking at property, would you consider that place? I was blessed to grow up going to our family cabin. It was an amazing way to grow up- fishing, shooting (I personally am not a hunter, but I know how to handle rifles) swimming in our pond etc. unfortunately our cabin was broken into 2times. All the tools & good things were stolen. We had a basement that you went into from an outside door. That door was thick & heavy. Since they couldn’t get into it that way they actually put a hole in the floor(broke into the living area above)to get into the basement 🤦🏻‍♀️Nothing else was destroyed🙄. Hope you find your dream property. Take care Brent
