- This abandoned log home has been abandoned since since 2017 for unknown reasons. The driveway and front entrance has completely grown over. It would be amazing to sit here and enjoy a coffee and a cozy fire. Unfortunately the wood stove was stolen or the previous owner removed it.
Would you stay here for a weekend getaway?

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

With these videos, I am always left yearning for even the smallest backstory. Someone has to know something, especially with this well-built cabin.
I agree 100%... so curious WHY so many places are just left to rought?!?!!? rent it cheap to someone for upkeep!
@@sandralovegrove2805 rot.
I came here to say that. I bet with a little research there is at least some story to be told and it would make these video sooo much more interesting.
Also someone has to still own it don’t they? It was not just built on crown land illegally?
@@andrewdishman335 exactly... more research perhaps
I grew up in a log house. My parents made it from the ground up. It's weird to see this house abandoned because it's so beautiful.
Camper Christina?
That is so sad it's abandoned. I'd do anything to be able to have that . Such a gorgeous cabin 😞
Anything huh? Hmm...
Where is it? What state?
Somewhere in Canada
Probably outside of Toronto. The paper was the Globe and Mail
@@twobrokeguyz1214what
Think you mean composting toilet. But if you're looking in the area maybe you get this place and property for back taxes owed to municipality? Or maybe elderly person passed no heirs. Change the appliances, clean, and redo the deck. Good chance for a deal...maybe.
He’s Canadian, they’re not the brightest ppl. 😂 Super friendly though eh
Brent, you should seriously look into the current owner's status of that cabin. Sure it needs some work but, it will be a worthy investment for you. It's off grid sort of which is what you're looking for. Best wishes and good luck with an investigation about it.
@SweetMircha786 I may do this
@@6daysago167Rude!
@AbandonedUrbexCanada I truly believe that this wasn't a coincidence and you were supposed to find it so you should take it as a sign and look into the cabins story as maybe it is telling you that you are it's next chapter?
beautiful; hard to believe that no one inherited this place or wanted it.
Not everyone has family to leave their possessions to when they die
I would love to own that cabin , wow !
There is always a relative, perhaps very distant and if nobody pays the taxes, it now belongs to the state, or the bank may own it if there was a mortgage. Big question is, why has the owner done nothing with it? I would love to rent it for vacation.@@toddygallent7258
Glad visitors have been respectful of the property and not left any mess or damage. What an amazing cabin!
Tremendous find, Brent! Thanks for taking the time to stop by and film it!! ...bugs and all!!
What a shame it is abandoned. I did not see any sign of the roof leaking, that is was causes total destruction when water gets inside. It looks like it is still a good solid cabin. Should be worth a fair amount of money in it`s current condition. Somebody need to save this sweet cabin before it is too late, research through city / county records to find out who the owner is. Who knows, the owner may have died and had no family. It just seems nuts to leave it to rot away in years to come. Great video!
Someone is still paying yearly land taxes.
With luck it has a metal roof.
That's a neat little place, and wouldn't take much to put back into shape.
It's sad to see these places that were once full of life forgotten and left to rot. Somebody has a head full of fond memories and most likely some great stories to tell about these empty homes.
I wish someone would recognize the property and give us some history
Absolutely amazing place & in better shape than our hunt camp!
That’s a full log cabin house too.
What a find!!! and nothing happens by accident.
You were looking in that area
For homestead. I would get right on it and start doing research to find out who owns that property and see if you can buy it or claim it.
It may just be back taxes that's owed on it who knows.
Please let us know what becomes of this place. I hope you research it 🥰👍✨✨✨
Thank you for sharing 😊
Epic find. I would love to have a cabin like that.
That's a magical place. I so hope whoever it belongs to comes back before too long. It's just waiting to be enjoyed again.
What a beautiful log home. I would live there.
Beautiful cabin, still in great shape...
Yay. Brent video. Always a treat. 💜
I love, love, love this cabin (dust and all)! Thanks for showing this!
There's... barely ANYTHING wrong with this one; it's as solid as it was when it was built! Fix the upper deck, thoroughly clean and dust, redo the propane stuff, get rid of the old food, restore the fireplace/stove and it's good to live in again! All that WOOD, just -- *MWAH!* -- God I love it!
Sad. Looks like someone packed up after vacay and either passed away or just never came back and family has no interest.
You should inquire with local real estate. Might get it for a good deal.
Good video. Great find.
I’m on it 👍🏻
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada awesome dude.
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada Keep us posted. That's a SWEET cabin!
@@AbandonedUrbexCanadaThat's great.👍

Hello Brent! What an awesome find. Such a sad feeling in that place. Thank you for sharing!😊❤
This was a great find, Brent! I'm glad vandals haven't come across it and I hope they never do. It's always a treat when you come across time capsules like this. You really have to wonder: What happened to the people who lived here? Why didn't they come back?
Bigfoot
What a beautiful serene place to be. I could stay there and be most happy. Thank you Brent, I surely enjoyed this explore. ☮️💜
What a nice log cabin. Thanks for sharing 👍.
Looks like a place i vacationed at once as a child. Always stayed in my mind as a goal. Beautiful cabin in the woods with an open 2nd floor. Just like that. It was somewhere in Quebec, dont know more
love your video's🏚🏡 eye grew up with my 'family' doing exactly THIS every weekend
1 hr from Montreal, North to the awesome Laurentians. Greatest memories ever & so very exciting!
we were allowed to pick up anything we found to bring home (1960-70's before security/legal issues ever became a thing) your voice, natural Canadian compassion & respect is commendable!
somewhat weird how there is Never any records of these properties to be found , so curious on the History! Thank you for your content 🦫 here since your beginning - you bring me to my Happy Place during these epic historic multi-record breaking times of darkness
Thank You,Very Beautiful Simple Home.

That was incredible Brent. Wow! It's beautiful. I'd live in this cabin too. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sad this home was abandoned. It still looks like it can be brung back to life.
This is one of thee coolest finds, ever. ❤
I would love to live in a place like this. I'm so world weary right now.
Totally Amazing Video! So glad there is no vandalism / tagging / etc. Thank you!
A new Brent!! 'I'm ready ... are you ready? .... Let's go!!' 8-D
That’s beautiful it could be fixed up. Much ❤ great video
Absolutely beautiful!❤️❤️
They just got up and never came back… great find 👍 loved it
Love your intro music, great video! 👏🏻
Just about all the space I would need. I hope someone gets it back in shape soon.
Awesome our cottage on the Quebec side has propane lights, fridge and stove.
Beautiful!!😊 Thank you for sharing!!😊😊
Another great explore. Such a beautiful cabin. Whoever owned it had good taste with the Bird’s custard that’s the best. Can’t wait to see your next explore!😊
Is absolutely gorgeous
What a neat looking house
Beautiful place....amazes me how many abandoned places there are. Cool find. Thank you.
An amazing incredible cabin
This beautiful log cabene, I love hit .🇨🇦👍😍
Its definitely amazing to find that, its something that a family had and as time goes on people pass away and sometimes no family to pass it too and then it sits especially in a remote place. I lived in Nova Scotia as a kid I went back to visit and took my Drone I was amazed at all the old abandoned cabins on the islands. Time what it does!
I would definitly stay there this is my Dream 😀sad that is abandoned 😪
Great place
That house is solid!
Beautiful country property. Why would someone abandon it😮😮😢the greenery to die for❤house beautifully done using huge logs
WOW !! Such a beautiful house & lot. To leave so much behind, there has to be a great story to this abandonment !!
What I find amazing is that there is almost no skhat anywhere. With easy open doors, there should be some droppings everywhere.
Great Video.
Dont let this die. God bless. Mick Australia
LOOKS LIKE A NICE PLACE
Cool house i Found house abandonned in my city very cool
You seriously need to buy this place!!!
Our family has always loved the outdoors, usually in a small, humble tent. I’ll never understand why people are so careless about their blessings?
I'm still collecting tabloids and magazines and memorabilia from the 70-90s , and will order more for my collection in about a week n half 💖
A place some of us could only dream of having . Sitting there not being used 😏 beautiful place
Such a great find!
what a treasure!
Buy it and fix it. It is gorgeous
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ❣️❣️❣️
I would live there in a heart beat! What a beautiful place! Best one I've seen in a long time.
My guess, someone died and no one knows it's there.
Fix it up a little clean it and spend the rest of your life in paradise exploring.
I would buy that place on a heartbeat.
Looks like someone built it for a hunting/fishing cabin,, and just left it , maybe because of COVID. Or maybe just could not afford it anymore. Probably the best place you've come across as far as being well organized despite the dust. I agree with the person who said you could maybe just pay the back taxes. Tons of potential. Get a hazmat team to come in and give it a good clean.
Awesome find.
2017 was the last evidence of anyone being there. Hardly the era of Covid-19 is it.
What a shame! It’s beautiful, can’t believe no one owns or uses it!
😊👍Thanks!!
never mind buying vacant land, buy this place! lol that cabin is awesome!
Beautiful place Brent, so sad that its just sitting there not being used , i love that deck on the second floor, id fall asleep on that thing just listening to the nature around me
I wonder if the owners or the children and relatives of these places can see this? This place is amazing and would do well in the times today, seeing as people prefer efficient tiny homes.. Shame this treasure had to be reclaimed by nature one day and not given another chance.
Beautiful place, needs more bedrooms. You should find out how much and buy it up.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. I am absolutely in love with that cabin. I would love to have it. It looks perfect ( more or less).😊
Looks like 4 to 6 year's of growth in the driveway. Hope someone can get it before roof problems start destroying it.
I LOVE AWESOME VIDÉO LIKE THIS ALWAYS 👍👍👍😺😺😺👋👋👋
Thats a great little house and a great location. Hard to believe the owner hasnt come back and it doesnt seem like there is a caretaker that checks on the place either. Maybe you could buy that piece of land? Thanks, Brent
Beautiful log cabin. Its sad no one has been in the cabin.
Imagine waking up the birds every morning.
I really love to buy it and live there
What a gem you stumbled upon!
Who hasn't dreamed of having a little log cabin get-away in the woods? I'm a bit jealous, but I am choosing to be happy that someone(s) dream came true even if it was cut short.
I'm wondering if the "dust" you noticed was a result of the log construction. What they put between the logs used to be called "chinking" and it had to be re-done periodically. They can actually be rather high maintenance -- more so than one might expect.
Hi Brent. Wow that place looks solid. Great find. Since you’re looking at property, would you consider that place? I was blessed to grow up going to our family cabin. It was an amazing way to grow up- fishing, shooting (I personally am not a hunter, but I know how to handle rifles) swimming in our pond etc. unfortunately our cabin was broken into 2times. All the tools & good things were stolen. We had a basement that you went into from an outside door. That door was thick & heavy. Since they couldn’t get into it that way they actually put a hole in the floor(broke into the living area above)to get into the basement 🤦🏻♀️Nothing else was destroyed🙄. Hope you find your dream property. Take care Brent
WOW! Buy the land and bring that great cabin into the 21st century! There are a ton of videos with people building cabins in the woods from scratch. I would definitely watch a remix video between a restoration video and a building a cabin video. Good work!
Wow, beautiful. You should buy the place and revive it. Perfect getaway place or a couple could live there
Thanks
With a bit of tlc this log cabin would be an awesome holiday home!!
Yes! Most definitely I like these kind of video's, when I was younger I used to like exploring too! Especially old farmhouse's, what stories they would tell, I wonder what the story is on this log home, and where is it located by the way? I would most definitely stay there, that's my retirement dream is to have a log cabin in the mountains. Anyways, thanks for sharing, I just came across this and will be checking out other video's of this nature.
Awesome and sad at one time
I don't think the people that own this feel like they abandoned it. Great video.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
It's still " owned".
The people just dont have the time and where with all to get up there do what they do.
I wonder if they saw this video and said "What the heck?!!, hold up now! That's my house!"
Fantastic cabin. With a little cleaning, some trimming outside, you could do a rental with that, short or long term. Really nice.
I like the Nave it 😊
Amazing find👌
Amazingly awesome home. It’s beautiful. I believe the toilet 🚽 is called a composting toilet, I could be incorrect. Anyway, it’s a huge waste to leave this home abandoned.
THAT WAS GREAT. BEAUTIFUL PLACE I WOULD LIKE TO BE!!
Thats a keeper
That's my dreamhouse
Wow😮
