Today I test the ZV-E10 by letting it FULLY control every aspect of the picture. This is a test for those who may not be camera savvy, or those who just want to get started quickly!
The results were interesting but overall the camera is usable in Auto Intelligent mode.

I mean intelligent mode looked wonderful to me. Don’t think I need more than that. I have the camera, I’ll be buying that sigma pretty soon!

I think the next implementation of software in DSLR cameras is the technology that's in modern day smartphones
I agree! If any company did start to implement things from cell phones, I think it would be Sony.
I see cell phones taking over in the next 3-5 years though!🤔 I guess we will wait and see what happens!

In fact ZV-E10 camera is only choice today (with crop sensor size ) for movies creations to MY opinion, all A6xxx have not acceptable flip screen which will block bluetooth mic installation, so thank you for explanations details "how to" for newers like me

Hello, i do make some woodworking videos. Which mode do you recomend for me to use? because often i am looking down on material, picking up new tools and such. Im completely new to having this camera and using a camera
I would start in manual mode but set your up your auto focus to WIDE and see how that works for you.

sony is very good at af and face detection, so in intelligent auto they should really refine it and make use of that and expose to the faces detected (instead of random things, background etc), or come up with a auto-intelligent-facepriority mode. and like change exposure while filming so that the detected face sits at 70% ire (or how they call it) for optimal exposure (in such a facepriority mode).
by the way, you havent posted in a while :D
I agree with your statement on how it could be improved! I think cell phone do this well because they have a fixed lens. They are better able to control and accurately predict how light is going to refract and ultimately resolve on the sensor.
Since the ZV E10 can accept many different lenses with different focal lengths and apertures, this (more than likely) makes it much more difficult for the software to behave perfectly. Maybe will we see some updates in the future to improve things?🤔
You are correct, I haven't been active on here due to MANY reasons which I will address in an upcoming video. I am also working on a video as we speak. It will be release in the very near future!😀

My intelligent auto is grayed out. How can I fix that?
I agree with you, if you’re just gonna stay in auto mode, why not just use your phone? At least you can press on the screen and have it expose for what you want it to expose for. But if you actually get a real camera, why not actually learn how to use it? :-)
I agree that in the long run, one will want to learn the camera that they have. I also believe that this camera is attracting a large group of people who have NEVER owned or touched a proper camera.
Some people learn better when there's a "transition" from what they are used to, into something new. I think this is why they created this feature.
They are able to get the "feeling" of a camera while not totally relying on themselves to fully control it right away.
I think the feature can also be a way to "learn" how a camera works as well.
There's MUCH more info that one is getting on the screen vs a cell phone.
I do however ultimately believe that it's best if the person learns the in's and out's of the camera. 😁 This feature just give them time.

iphones you have to compare with action cameras because these iphones and action cameras do not score well in low light at all.
In my experience (gear heads) 📷 are the ones that are really concerned about low light performance!
Most people who truly vlog aren’t concerned about low light performance so an iPhone 📱 or any other simple camera will suffice.
The average camera in 2022 is MORE than enough to vlog with and establish a SOLID subscriber base with MANY followers. This is because picture quality is not the only part of vlogging that’s important. (Check out Rich Rebuilds) over 1 million subs using only an iPhone.

@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia I do agree with you that and it depends on what kind of topic you do but if you often do something in half dark or dark places I recommend using a Sony or orher brand opposite a phone. So that for the same shot more can be shown than just dark black image without distortion in it.
@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia I have two "action 3" cameras, and they fail so bad in low light, I just bought this zv-e10 for that and its small size. And I don't have time to learn photography just so I know how to operate a camera. It's all auto settings for me, or into the trash can it goes.

😂 If a bear 🐻 ever started to chase me.. that would really test the stability out as well!
