GIVEAWAY CLOSED, Congratulations Patrick Browning and Evan Sticca for winning the Catapult Mini V2, Shannon Davidson for winning the Catapult V6 SST70. and thanks to any who took part.
You are feeding my flashlight lust and I am amazed that you are confident enough to show other comparable brands. This one is also very technically informative.
Love that mini! I'm a huge fan of the catapult, I take mine with me anywhere that I'll be spending time outdoors at night. Never know when you might need to see clear as day in the dark.
Thrunite is making some good products. They are built well and perform well. Good materials and machining. I'm impressed with their products and focus on making quality products at reasonable prices.
It’s amazing how far flashlights have come along
Thanks for the informative video and giveaway, nothing like an late night eveningwalk with a good light!
Thanks for all of the information! The Catapult Mini V2 looks amazing!! I love the power for such a compact size!
Thank you for this very instructive video! The differens between an old flashlight and a modern LED flashlight is indeed enormous. I have updated my very old 3D Maglite to a LED version myself, and experienced this. By the way I have also very good experience of a modern Thrunite flashlight as well, so thank you Thrunite for your flashlights and for making the kind of videos possible.
I love my thru note for exploring. It brings plenty of "daylight" to dark places
I bought the BSS5 bundle and it’s an AMAZING light- it turns night into day.
Thank you, CL, for another informative video. I keep the Catapult Mini in my glove box. It's an awesome compact light, but the Catapult V6 would sure come in handy for my hunting/camping trips in bear country. I'll give 2 thumbs up to anything that helps to keep me from becoming bear poop!
Thanks for the overview of these LED flashlights, and their respective features: pro & con.
I didn't realize how much I didn't know about LED's. Thanks for a great Video! The Catapult V6 like my next choice of Flashlight
Thanks for the great explanation on the difference between the two lights. Never quite understood them.
7:39 I love the Thrunite I have and am looking for another one real soon!
Light bulb LOL, that is cool :D That Catapult V6 is brutal 👍👍
You should have demoed the beam from these lights, especially compared to the Maglight with the incandescent bulb.
Props to Thrunite for including competing lights in their videos.
Back in the day, Maglite was THE flashlight to get. Bulbs didn't last long and they ate batteries like candy. I'm glad better options are here now.
@@robertw2042 I know, I've been into flashlights for over 20 years. Still have my old 2D Maglite, but haven't used it in well over 10 years.
Amazing power and quality is such a small package, and at a very decent price!
I bet that small Thrunite Catapult Mini V2 would completely destroy the huge maglite in brightness and reach 😆love the design of the Catapult V6, specially in that desert tan finish 🔥
Great info! Thanks Thrunite!
Quality content as always. Beam shots always welcome tho. Keep up the great work!
Good explanation, especially for those who are interested in flashlights but aren't familiar with their technology. LEDs have come a long way. More to come in the future, I'm sure.
Great product line by Thrunite!
Thanks to space age technology, Led's have really revolutionized the flashlight market. I can certainly relate to the old D cell flashlights.
Really informative video! Thank you!
Thanks for the GAW chance and the video.
Good explanation of the differences between light types. I really like the SST70 LED in my Thrunite TT20 so the Catapult V6 SST70 would be a perfect match.
thanks for another great video and like the information on the mag lite
Nice breakdown, very informative
If I had these lights when I was a kid. Back then my light of choice was the right angle scout light. It was probably 50 lumens with two fresh D batteries. What I wouldn’t given for my TH30 headlamp. Thanks for the great lights.
Very informative. Thank you.
I have a couple of Thrunite flash lights, and they are amazing!
The big throw light V6 is awesome!
Already have a Catapult. Love it...
Thanks for your informative video. I really enjoy your videos.
Good overview of LED basics
I thought the video was very interesting and I learned a lot. Thanks
Thanks for the lesson
"Way more energy in a smaller package." #ThatsWhatSheSaid
😊😊😊
But we wouldn't be where we are today and the lighting industry without The Good Old faithful maglite. 😎👍
I have several Thrunite flashlights and as far as the LEDs go I think all of them are comparable but where I think Thrunite stands out is the switch. I hate lights with crappy switches that make it flicker or not get full brightness. Thrunite has the best switches I've ever seen.
I never get tired of flashlights
Flashlight technology has come a long way
Very interesting video. LED's are the way to go!
Very nice light. Would be a great part to my collection that is small but hopefully will grow.
Useful information!
The 2aa mini Maglite was my first edc flashlight.
I discovered Thrunite years ago through RUclips's "Survival Lilly". Great quality flashlights! Oddly difficult to charge but great quality!
Mag lights used to be the state of art back in the day. That all silver is a beaut. Retired mine years ago. Guess can use as antique paper weight but who has a stack of paper these days.
Quality always wins.
Good comparison of led vs conventional. I’ve replaced all of my old Maglights with more modern led / rechargeable lights. The only time the Maglight excels is when you really need a club, can’t beat 4 d cells…
Was hoping to hear more about how LEDs work but still informative
Love Thrunite !
Wow! Very nice!
Still Loving my daily Neutron 2C.
Although I lost the USB rubber cap.
Todd
as much as I like modern Led flashlights I still like the old Mag-Light. it take me back to a retro era of my childhood, to when they were top of the line. plus there is always the security of the Mag-light being so big, and bulky, that if all else failed it could be used as a club.. lol
it's amazing how technology progressed for the past 10 years.
thx for this information video
I just bought a thrunite mini archer. Waiting for it to come in.
LED is the way to go!
Hello ThruNite, the problem I have is lights misrepresenting their Lumen output! Just say'n! Thanks for the info. Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 🙏😇👊
I want .
😂
Good luck to the winners
Excellent information. Could you do one introducing LEPs now and explain what the difference is there?
awesome flashligths, I need them for an upgrade in my airsoft gun ehehhe
Another banger!
Great video!
Great information
Thrunite wins again with another great little light.
ha, even thou Maglite is inferior... love the idea to have a backup LED. :)
I have 1 Thrunite light, hoping to get more.
Very interesting video 📈
Nice!
Another pro for the Maglite it can be used for protection, yet it is heavy
I guess an incandescent bulb make sense for a young kids first light that may or may not lose. But that's only reason I'd buy one.
I remember when the Maglite was the cat's meow.
I like it ❤
Leds make so much more sense
yeah.
Now do LEP flashlights?
great
Good
nice
Kind of amazing that anyone would still use incandescent bulbs instead of LEDs. Or single-use lead batteries instead of lithium, or at least NiMH. The Maglite is an antique; flashlights with two or three 26650s and one or more LEDs in a similar form factor are superior in every way.
Oh heck, everyone is saying positive things about Thrunite lights. What else is there to say other than “pick me to win one of these cool flashlight!” 😁
I need a new lens for my TH20 😁
I remember time filament torches were used and while their tint was great they didnt last long(both on battery and over life of bulb) and didnt have modern comforts of led lights.
But you could use the mag light as a weapon also.
@@davidhutton true thats in part thanks to all those C and D cells. Here in India Maglites were quite rare rather it was a local brand making torches that have a cult following.
Incandescent lights also suck up battery power to produce that light. LEDs are a superior way to produce light.
I bought one of your flashlights from Amazon but I can't charge it because it says turn it off to charge, but when plug it in to charge the strobe comes on and I can't turn it off. I've tried several times to get answers to this but y'all are ignoring me. You need to work on customer service!
giveaway :)
LED's
Well guess it's time to buy a new light
