    For the first 3 minutes, the Thrunite Archer Mini wins at 405 lumens and 1880 candela. After that it drops down to only 157 lumens and 729 candela for only 52 minutes. The Microstream USB does 250 lumens and 1150 candela the WHOLE time for 1.5 hours. Therefore, the Thrunite is better in the first 3 minutes and the Microstream USB is better for the 1.5 hours after that. So, do you value peak brightness for a few minutes, or maximum performance for a long period of time?Other than that, the Thrunite has the screwing port and the price advantage.

      @Weo510 Год назад +2

      I like SL, but this is not correct. Over the course of 20 minutes the Microstream USB quickly goes down to around 90, then slowly reduces to 25 lumen by the 1.5 hour mark. If you go to SL's website and look up the Micostream USB, click on "Documentation" link, click "Fact Sheet," it documents the light output over the 1.5 hours. Props to SL for having this info directly on their website. I now have 2 Microstream USB's (Coyote version is the only one that comes on 250 first, so I have both versions).

      @@Weo510 Thank you for correcting me! Really, I mean it. Now people know the truth and that’s what matters 😎 I’m glad to know this and I will now be comparing the runtime charts on Streamlight’s website to see which has the best runtime pattern of the Microstream Original, the Microstream USB, and the Protac AAA.

    I just purchased this THRUNITE ARCHER MINI today (Sunday July 3rd 2022) on Amazon. Right now Amazon is giving a coupon on this flashlight that takes off $5 and some change. My total with tax included came to $22.11 delivered. Mine will be here on Wednesday 7/6/22 due to the 4th of July holiday tomorrow. BTW, I also have the OLIGHT i3t EOS and the STREAMLIGHT MICROSTREAM USB you shared in this video and love both of them. Great comparison video and thank you for sharing it. 👍

    I don't mind AAA. I carry a Lumintop Tool AAA and it's perfectly usable and simple for a pocket light. That Thrunite looks great for that price though, especially for an integral battery, which could be a pro or con depending on your opinions. Wish it didn't have strobe though. Not necessary in almost any light short of a gun light. A pocket light needs 3, maybe 4 settings tops. Thanks for the review!

      Would love a medium setting between the low and high, rather than a strobe which is (and only is) an annoyance when I accidentally turn it on.

    I had 2 of the Streamlight Microstream (coyote & blue) and lost them both they were clipped on my left-hand pants pocket, the first time it had gotten caught on my seat belt getting out of my car, I found it two days later and then lost it again and also lost the blue one probably the same way no way of knowing for sure? They were just a little to long for them to be comfortable (mostly while driving) in my pocket, so I went with the Thrunite Archer Mini and love this thing and Im not worried about losing it because it just goes into my pocket, and for the Olight....it's a AAA battery version so Im not interested in it. Thanks for the informative review!

    SL has a replaceable proprietary battery (cant use charge port with normal 10400). Thrunite's battery is soldered to the circuit board in the head and glued inside the tube body. I use a Macrostream for EDC or as a backup work light or if I don't have a dedicated work light with me (also because 18650 lights are a little cumbersome on a hat brim). I use the Microstream USB when I go minimalist, but not 100% sold on it because of limited run time on low... probably a non issue. I too appreciate a charge port on the side as it's easy to top off with a USB cable when I drive from one spot to another.

    "Wipe the lube off your hands" got me dying 😂 But on a more serious note, I have the micro and macro streams from Streamlight. Both nice lights, but I gotta say, the Type C port on the thrunite is a huge selling point with my devices slowly transitioning away from micro usb

    • @timb8098
      @timb8098 Год назад +1

      I don’t have the Thrunite, but from watching reviews, it appears to have a different switch from the usual soft press for momentary and full click for constant on. It seems to just have a switch that clicks. I suspect that it doesn’t have momentary, but it is possible that it could be programmed to do momentary if you hold the button down for long enough. Hope this helps!

    None of these blow my mind. I always like a very low half to one lumen moonlight mode, plus a fairly high max (over 400 lumens). Though it’s slightly larger and in the AA arena, I’d choose an Acebeam Pokelit AA over any of these, any day of the week. It’s the best AA flashlight IMO too. Anyway, really nice comparison video. Thanks!

    G'day Chris, yep with ya, AAAs are crap for torches of any description IMO. USB-C is the go, but settle for micro if everything else is cool, like you, I must have a coupla dozen micro cables still lol.
    Gotta say the 'ol Archers 1A and 2A still stand up; as an early riser, I use them every morning and often @ night, I get weeks out of them on NiMH 2500 mAh AAs. Probably handle 14500s too, but not prepared to potentially spoil a good thing. Cheers Duke.

    once the current battery is dead, you pop it out, grab a new 10440 off the charger and you're on your way. no down time.
    the olight will also last as long as you take care of it.
