Night shots are a MUST for these videos though. Preferably outdoors. Even if the cameras don't show the true beams, it feels incomplete without those shots. Just part of the fun of watching these videos I guess. I gotta have em. I like "useless-night-test-Rick" best. I think you could make some more interesting clips of the beams if you went to an area with diverse geography and showed them in the woods/brush as well as distance shots. Like you say, it won't give perfectly accurate data, but it's what many of us are thinking about when we consider purchasing a specific light.

I like my I5r, but the i3t with a 10440 is the one I carry more. I5r is now my bedside light.

I'm curious how long you've been running the 10440 in the light and what type you use bc I see they say they are smaller than AAA batteries but will they fit? Bc I have about 20 olights and I'm about to get these batteries for my i3t

@@inBluEDC I have used Jesspow 10440 a 4 pack on Amazon is around $10 and they are fantastic I've ran them over a year now

Im a bit of an olight fanboy i guess. I'm working my way up their products. Of the 3 you have there i have to say i like the baton lll best. I have its predecessor the S1R baton ll and the baton lll is a definite step up. The I3E is great for its size and i actually use a rechargeable AAA with a mini USB port so it's essentially rechargeable. I'm still paying for my i5r as its a custom engraved brass one so I'll catch you up but i usually have one of the baton ll/lll or my baton lll pro with me too and i probably have another olight on my key bunch anyway.

If I’m not mistaken I just watched another review on the i5r and it said the you get 150 lumens for 20 hours using a lithium standard AA

I5R all day everyday. The Baton 3s beam has low candela. And 1000Lm don't some like a boost from I I5R 360Lm. The led and the reflector just make it work. But the I3T with a standard battery is trash at a focused 120Lm it's ok for what it is I'll pick a baton 3 over it. But I haven't done this. But people swear by putting a 10440 battery in a I3T. To clip the voltage. And over ride to chip. May do long term damage.

Yeah, it always feels a bit iffy messing around too much with batteries huh? Can seem to work a treat like you say but then "pop" bye-bye torch. Thanks for comment mate
