    Baton 3 pro was a massive disappointment for me.
    Beam is fine but spill is riddled with lines/artifacts & spill isn't that wide. The max is VASTLY better, the warm white version is amazing for woods walking. The updated lens seems to have removed the lines from the spill as well. Olight needs to start offering ALL their lights in cool, neutral & WARM. A warm white headlight would be amazing. I noticed olights "neutral" tints are a bit hit & miss, half the time i get a hideous green tinge on the neutral. I have had to return multiple lights for that reason.

    Purchased the Pro a few months ago and just purchased the Pro Max. Both check all the boxes for me. I like a light that can tail stand to use as a table lamp, two-way pocket clip to use as a head lamp on a hat and also the charging system does not require removing a rubber plug which if not closed properly could allow moisture to short out the electronics. The only thing that I would change about the Pro and the Pro Max is I would add a tail switch. Just my personal preference. Nice review.

    • @timb8098
      @timb8098 Год назад +1

      Check out the Warrior Mini 2! It has a tail switch. It might be just what you’re looking for. It has 1700 lumens on turbo, a slightly higher capacity 18650 battery than the Baton 3 Pro, and is only about half an inch longer. And get this, it is still tail magnet rechargeable and the tail switch has two modes. Press it in halfway and you get Medium; press it in all the way and you get Turbo. Press and release quickly to get constant on. Press and hold to get momentary. The only downside to it is that the tail magnet is weaker than the Baton 3 Pro’s magnet. The Warrior Mini 2 will still hang from the magnet vertically, but sometimes it struggles to hang parallel to the ground by the magnet. Hope this helps!

    • @timb8098
      @timb8098 Год назад +7

      @@daahsri Definitely the Baton 3 Pro. It is more compact, and despite having only 1500 lumens, because it has a higher candela rating of 8,000 instead of the Max’s 5,000, it is brighter and thus has more throw for greater distances. They are basically the same light in User Interface as well. Look at the Baton 3 Pro’s runtimes and see if you would be satisfied with them. It so, get it. Only if you need a couple more hours on high, 6 more hours on medium, and 180 instead of 100 hours on low, should you consider the Max. The Max also has more of a flood beam whereas the 3 Pro concentrates its lumens more to have a better balance between flood and throw. The Max actually looks dimmer than the 3 Pro when compared outside because it wastes all 2,500 of its lumens on flood instead of concentrating them more like the 3 Pro. Also, if you have a hard time finding the 3 Pro on Olight’s website, just search for it on their website. I think they might have hidden it a little because they are trying to showcase and sell the Max. Also, last time I checked, some of the body color and light temperature (like cool and neutral white) combos weren’t available, so play around with the colors and neutral vs cool to find one if you want to buy one now. Also, if you want to see a great comparison between them outside, check out Crispy Things RUclips video comparing them that just came out. It really shows the difference between them. One more thing-if you want a tail switch for security and self defense, you may want to check out the Olight Warrior Mini 2. It’s very similar to the Baton 3 Pro, but also has a dual mode tailswitch and a side switch. Hope this helps! 😉

    If I may make a suggestion, it would be nice to cut out the unboxing and the reading of the specs, it would save a lot of time if you just went over the most important stuff. Instead it would be really nice to have text with the specifications on screen when you cover that.

    More than a few of us who gleefully grabbed the Baton Pro 3 felt a moment of WTF when the Baton 3 Pro Max came out soon after.
    I prefer the Max but if it's too big for you the Pro is a good option. I prefer a Seeker though. Even the Max just fizzles out if you try to use it for any significant distance.
    I'll be keeping my Pros and getting them again for the Max in my primary green/orange.

By the time you cycle through all the levels nobody really cares about, you lose all sense of what the other light was like. I have the ProMax in WW and i dont like it. At medium its not enough to illuminate a wet road (concrete, asphalt or ground). At high is...way to high and get warm fast. This light needs stepless adjustement. Thats why i bought a Seeker4Pro. The clip, general form and magnetic tail are awesome on ProMax. To be fair, this WW excell on fog, rain and snowy conditions. Alot less strain on eyes, the particles of water in the air dont shine so bad being illuminated.

    The smaller and lighter Pro is much more efficient than the Pro Max. With less lumens it has more useable reach. The pro max has to be all the way in turbo mode to see anything beyond bedroom range. It's frustrating having all that massive power and not being able to light up anything outdoors that's not right next you.

      Just because YOU don’t see a need for something like this doesn’t mean there ISN’T one… and the number of flashlights that Olight and other high-quality flashlight manufacturers continue to sell would argue that there is, indeed, a need like this.

      But you wanna talk about lost? You don't have to look too far to see people wearing $200+ basketball shoes who can't run the length of a basketball court...once. And usually...they are half unlaced. Where's the common sense in that? But, I digress...
