Just the video i was hoping id find. Perfect comparison. I have that mini v1 as well catapult pro. I honestly love how the v1 has almost zero flood and is like you said, "a lazer beam." I am contemplating the v2 but am not really a fan of less lazer beam and more flood. Idk, they are all great so i might as well be honest with myself and just buy all of them 😂 another light in this mini thrower category that i think tops them all and is king of mini thrower is the sofien if22a, that thing is beast and still my all time favorite

Thanks for review! I have v1 and am interested in v2. And what I do not like with v2: too big gap between high and turbo while it is too small gaps between low, turbo and high. High should have been ~500lm, medium ~ 100lm and low ~20lm or so. That would make it possible to determine what level is activated when you turn on the light. As it is now you will not surely determine whether it's on low or medium, or medium or high. As with most lights today turbo is a burst mode only available for very short time and also requires almost full charged battery. So turbo is in fact not very much useful but more a selling argument in the lumen race.
Those are some nice little lights. I got a new light I think you might like if you don't already have one. It's a Noctigon DM11. I paid an extra five for an SFT40 and got the RGB switch and it's got aux leds which is pretty cool and it's not crazy expensive. It's a little brighter than my TS11 with an 18650 and is about the same size but a little shorter and a little thicker because of the 21700 battery. I really like both of these little throwers and don't really have a favorite between the two. The DM11 is a little more powerful but the orange TS11 is a better looking light imo. Great video and I like your idea about lumen testing without having to have expensive equipment. It would be interesting being able to compare different lights outputs I think.

These are both great the V1 blew my mind 🤯 It was my first thrower. I just received the V2 and the Wurkkos TS11, Both are game changers for me. If you find extension tubes for 18650 let us know 👍
You can use a D4V2 18650 tube to do it. I’ve done it, you just have to use some extra metal to fill in the gap from the head to the tube. I was even able to make it work using some aluminum foil.
@@smotheredchrome after a couple nights of playing with them, I still think the v1 is a better option., the flood on the v2 isn’t THAT breathtaking… useful yes.. but not a deal breaker.. I would like a tighter hotspot, with the same flood and maybe it would be a little better.. but.. idc.. it’s a nice light and it’s a good performer

V2 is a great light IMHO
571m. I got 564m on a second burst. (1st burst I messed up), a great thrower edc light for sure.. now if we could get pocket clips.
That's one thing I give them credit for is there pretty accurate on there claimed stats
