Those glass jars are probably slightly radioactive due to some of the Uranium oxides. It's called "Uranium Glass" and it glows in UV. If you have any simple dosimeter you could probably check it.
I love my Arkfeld UV flashlight. Living in Southern Nevada the UV is especially handy hunting down scorpions. Of all the UV lights I have owned this light is hands down better by far. In general lighting needs the main light is outstanding. I think so much of this light I purchased two more as gifts. Thanks Olight for a great product. Thanks Not Thursday for spreading the news about Olight.
wow i had no idea the uv model had so many great changes, i was going to order mine tomorrow im so glad i saw this first. definitely getting the uv model instead.
I travel and I use the UV light to inspect a hotel room. I finally stopped using my beloved Surefire E2L Outdoorsman with a shattering 125 Lumen on High (if that). LOL. But it was my first quality light I purchased around 2007 and used it in Nepal, the Philippines, Thailand, Egypt, Mexico and other countries with inconsistent lighting. I love the Surefire but today's battery and light technology have enticed me to purchase the Arkie UV. Cheers and happy travels with clean sheets. p.s. I use the Surefire Outdoorsman flashlight holster to carry my Spyderco Subvert knife and I have removed the carry clip. Nice set up.
Oh nice they finally added the reverse clip for ball cap brim. My EDC is a Streamlight Macrostream USB, but I might pick up one of these. I work in HVAC for a hospital, my EDC light needs to have a super bright mode for following pipes/ducts/wires through ceiling plenums, and a hands free up close light for working. This looks like a good option.
I KNOW! Why they don't do this on all flashlighs I don't get. I have a Fenix LD30 (Fenix and Olight are the best quality made flashlights in the world) and the Fenix LD30 has an S shaped clip made out of titanium, which is really nice. Olight and Fenix for life. Along with Streamlight, Acebeam, Nitecore and a few more 😊.
Those new side cuts? My guess is that they are primarily intended as an assist when pulling the light out of your pocket. Dip (your fingers) and grip. I just ordered on so I'll find out in a few days. All those upgrades from the original show that the Olight is thinking and listening.
I prefer neutral lighting because its easier on the eyes compared to the cool white. Depends on what your using it for. Warm & neutral white are more for indoors & such where cool white would come in handy if you were checking your backyard/front porch. The neutral white is the middle ground between cool white & warm white
I really wanted to get this light but I travel alot and having to keep a special charger just for one light doesn't make sense for me. Wish it was usb but I bet they hear that alot
I love the flashlight but the lake of a usb charging port makes it worthless for me as a true edc carry flashlight if i cant charge it on the go without needing to carry around an extra charging cable. USB c has won the charging war give it up olight.
Quite a collection of Olight torches you've got there
Well, he does promote them. Honestly not bad lights for the price.

Awesome, I'm ordering the OD green version tomorrow!
Got mine yesterday . Love it so far .

Nice review Charlie that's a bright light for sure thanks for sharing
Good timing as my old T1 is crapping out. Combining the UV with an EDC is handy👍👍
You convinced me. Ordered one last night.
Got mine yesterday and really like it only thing is I wish there was a rubber button on the side that put it straight into turbo mode while pressed
You’re looking for a streamlight wedge.
No gimmicks or weird lights there, just a sturdy American made light
I said having everything color of Arkfeld and an early release black UV Arkfeld was enough but still got the orange and green one in the sale anyway.
Also, the UV can be used for your UV glue to cure it. I carry UV glue when camping, motorcycle touring and fly-fishing.
UV . Great finding leaks in auto ac systems .
5:10 nice uranium glass jar :)

@@bullridermusic2054 surefire and streamlight are more durable
Good comparison, it’s made me what one. 👍
Thanks for the comparison, i had no idea they were different. Lol
I think the improved clip also features a lanyard attachment hole.

Well I already have the Ti version of the original but now you've gone and made me want this one too 😂
Creepy those glowing red eyes in the Forrest!
My UV version turned the lens/glass/plastic amber/brown on the UV portion.
I'm new to the flashlight world and have got my eye on the Arkfeld UV. For all around use, would you recommend cool light or natural? Thanks!

@@non.treaty.dreamer Thanks!
@@MichaelE.Douroux you're welcome :)
where did you get those glow in the dark squares on your backpack? I would like to get some.
What are those UV glow cubes you have?

I just ordered one about 5 mins ago
What about the interface? How do you tune it on and off etc. Does it easily get turned off accidentally?
Good Monday morning! Looking for a Gold Cup Colt and from just south of Macon.
did you find one? they are accurate
@@ArcheryRuleZ Yes......and no. I decided to go with the Gold Cup Trophy instead. Of course now everything is available.
The one you’re using it Cool white? Looks more neutral than cool!
👍
Helpful review, thanks.
The beam is slightly wider because they had to shorten the TIR lens in order to make room for the uv part
How much for the green salt shaker ?
Очень подробно. Спасибо.
I love torches, I would marry one if I could ❤
Handy! 😀
I'm from the future.....The Arkfeld Pro is coming and has 1300 lumens, a class 3 laser, and a powerful UV light. 😮
Just paid $58.99 for it. Not bad
Your knife handle is made out of a florescent plastic, rather than a glow-in-the-dark plastic. (It's like those "black-light" posters from the 60s.)
No is not. It is orange and lighter orange tones glow in uv light, not darker though and it's not material depending.
I'm sure you get this all the time but it is actually Thursday today😅

This uv work to track deer blood
Hate the button and placement of said button
UV would be great, but not for the loss of the laser.
watchout! those glowing glassware has uranium in them.
I hate strobe mode
Why do you have a ton of flashlights? I don't understand at all. I can understand having one and a backup, but not having like 50.
Blahblahblahblah stoooooo pid fo
Thats def not 1000 lumens
