This is the first Olight Arkfeld version I really fell for. The new Arkfeld pro with white light, green laser and UV is excellent. This is one of the best new EDC flashlights for the end of 2023. In this video I will show you lots of beam shots from the CW version Arkfeld pro with outdoor footage at night....not just Bench shots. The improvements to the Arkfeld pro are not just in the size, yes it is a bit bigger and that's what makes it feel really good in the hand. but with that you get a larger battery with more power and longer runtimes. Check out my review as well as the comparison between the Original Arkfeld, Arkfeld UV and now the Arkfeld pro.

WOW!! Never new that about high vis knives. That’s actually cool. Thank you. No messing around. I had now idea they would glow like that.
The Arkfeld Pro is is perfect EDC light and has become my #1 light carry. Useful for my work and my daily life. Highly recommend.
one of the most concise and thorough product reviews I've ever seen on youtube. well done. subscribed
Love the in-depth review here!
Great information about the lighting system and the best thing today 👍
Just got mine…LOVE IT!
The 1st gen Arkfield was my favorite non-tactical EDC light ever. I just got my Arkfield Pro this week and I can already tell this will be even better. I don’t foresee carrying anything else for a long, long time.
Excited for this one. I love my Arkfeld UV but the pocket clip was just not durable enough for use in my job. If they’ve made it more robust than the UV version I’m definitely going to give this a shot. Then I can dual wield green lasers with my copper O-Pen Pro!
Charlie, you introduced me to O light a couple of years ago, I definitely enjoy their products!
Just got mine to use for an edc work light and it’s awesome. Seems to have plenty of battery the magnet is awesome for sticking it onto a frame when working under a car. I use the uv light often as a aerospace welder that uses florescent penetrant almost every day and the laser is just fun to play with. I carried an older olight baton for a few years and loved it then switched to a surefire e2d for about 2 years and now switching to the arkfeld because I use my light so often it makes more sense to go rechargeable and just throw it on the charger every night
Cool seeing the upgrades. Combing the laser and UV is interesting. It would be cool if they had a magnetic or slip on filter for the uv light.
Cool video. Thank you.
That knife demo was pretty cool. I didn't know UV could do that. I have at least 3 orange knives so now I have yet one more justification for dropping a C note on this little EDC torch.
Anything in a hi vis color like that will illuminate atleast in my experience, love it for zip ties just scan the UV over and instantly see them
Fantastic review, most helpful thanks
Just ordered one, supposed to be here Thursday, think ill like it
Is it as long as a i5t plus? Thats my edc rn looking to get the arkfeld pro i think i will like the charging system. Questuon is each click a different setting in the white light setting? And the turbi 4 min run time after that 4 min is the battery done ? Or uu just need to shut it off ?
Nice review! Just saw your 17th anniversary sale video and came here for details. I'm going to pick up one of these!
Looks like you've got some good knife reviews going and I think its about time to upgrade to a better light, and a knife. Especially I'm liking the idea thatthe dayglow colors stand out so well under UV light. Great review! Thanks! I liked and subscribed!
BONUS: I just see you've got some cool metal detecting videos!!!! Your channel just became my new favorite youtube channel!!!
Do you have a video on the Spyderco? which model is that! Scales are original?
Hi! Thx for the video! Can I put this on the visor from my Baseball Cap or is it too long or too heavy? Any experience here?
Thx!!
Is the laser a good laser in terms of longevity? I'd hate to have the laser not last as long as the flashlight will.
0:51 can you post a video of your knife collection? Idk if there’s already a video of it. I would love to see it
I picked one up in Zombie green during the sale. I love it except for the non replaceable battery. Although surely it can be opened up without damage and we can solder in a new one ourselves. The cover for the battery compartment is probably glued on and can be removed with heat.
The good news is that these now (as of Jan 2023) have lifetime warranties and that includes replacement of the battery on non user serviceable units like the Arkfeld series.
I purchased the pro, nice light, very bright, which they had made the on button more recessed on the pro. I’ve had this turn on too many times in my pocket even with the lockout feature on. If your laying on your side or have multiple things in your pocket that could hit the power button long enough, it will turn on. I’ve burnt a hole in the pocket of two pairs of expensive Kuiu pants. which is why I’m switching back to the original Arkfeld, never once did the original light ever turn on in my pocket. Also, the laser is a must have, great for picking out meat at the butcher counter.
How do you pick out meat with a laser?
@@spitfire83 you shine the laser on which cuts of meet you want, the butcher can’t see over the counter as too which one your finger is pointing at. The butchers say to me, they wish everyone had one to do the same.
My favorite edc light of all time
I'm looking for a broader beam flashlight with UV for inspections. I have been using the warrior 2 for the last 2-3 years and it's a great flashlight because it can be dimmed so low. This looks like my next flashlight In the more natural light version.
is the warm light one out yet in the UK do you know, cant see it?
For me the best use for the UV light is the garden. No better way to dispose of tomato worms then black light at night. They glow like scorpions and you just pick them off and dispose of them. I was carrying 2 lights one for the bugs and one to wander around. The Arkfeld pro having both is a great addition to my kit
Yeah for me it's actually scorpions. Nasty lil pricks.
Does this come on in your pocket at all, I seem to have trouble with every light doing that.
Dam now I have to get one 😅
Does it have straight to moonlight mode?
Just ordered the Arkfeld Pro in Orange, well because I’m Team Orange all the way… wish they had the NW option in that color but it appears that’s only available on the Black version. BTW, love and appreciate your reviews Charlie in helping me to make informed decisions
Excelente linterna, saludos cordiales desde chile 🙋♂️🇨🇱⛏️🗝️👍👏💍
Cool, they need one with a spot light. Thanks for sharing, I'd love to win a light.
They have one, the maurader 2
I've always been a collector of flashlights since when I was kid. I love my last Olight that I purchased, the Seeker 4 pro. This one might round out my collection, I like that it has the UV light combined, but what use would the laser serve?
Have cats? I use it to position groups for photography. Mess with friends from a distance 😂 point out things while on an adventure during dusk+.
I use the laser for work, pointing out things on the construction site and highlight deficiencies etc on photos (for later)
Green lasers are visible for miles, and can be seen better in daytime. They can be useful for long range signaling if you get stranded somewhere. If its cold out, the green laser beam source can be visible in snow or foggieness. Also good for pointing out objects at great distance. Lasers definitely have their uses, so up to you if you have a place for them in your carry.
My dog (a 90+ lbs boxer and American bulldog mix) chases the green laser with such ferocious intensity. It’s insanely hilarious! He must think he’s a cat. 😂
Whats so wrong with the Cool White version you would buy the other??
Why do you prefer Neutral white over cool?
Im torn between CW/NW ..and the EDC27 ...one or the other
Neutral white looks more similar to the sun. Cool white is too blue.
do you know on the arkfeld pro , can the clip on the back be removed ?
Is it worth the money?
Does the Arkfeld Pro come with a lockout feature?
Yes, it works like most olights, press and hold from off to lock; press and hold again to unlock.
Right on, thanks!!@@Madman6505
I came just for this, thanks
@@Madman6505does it come on easy in the pocket if you don't lockout?
Pass. Last thing I need is another proprietary cord.
Unsure about this clip. To anyone who owns it, does it stay attached to a basebal cap while walking?
It does for me, if you have an ultra slim bill, then if you’re looking down and walking really hard then likely not but any of my normal hats it doesn’t fall off unless I really want it to
What are the names of the knives that are UV responsive in orange.? And do you have any more that is in orange.? I got the Rubato 3 set in orange and it's not responsive to UV.
@@Vosmalus - thanks for the reply. I ended up finding an olight oknife drever in orange and black, and it is responsive. A good knife, sharp, and plenty of cutting edge.
How often do you search for prey that you shot a half mile down the road...and you need a uv light to follow the blood trial......not the best in my opinion. Id rather have the light/laser one if anything ..✌🏼😁
Think about construction or maintenance jobs. Being able. To point 40 feet up at a factory ceiling where a sprinkler head leaks, or using the uv to check for pipe leaks...
@@mtbrdude I was unaware the uv could find water leaks....interesting. .I must do a lil more research on that
Lose the laser and put in a red LED and a better belt clip, then I might buy one.

Not being able to replace the battery on a £70 - 100 light means that instantly it's a no-deal for me. But in the UK the neutral white version isn't even available. On an EDC-style light of this price I think that the option for a good CCT should absolutely be expected, especially when we have the 519a LEDs with great CRI and many CCT options without much loss to efficiency.
With the lifetime warranty, my guess is olight would cover a battery replacement if it ever quit.
How many times have you needed to replace a high quality lithium battery? It may lose a little of its charge longevity 10:12 after a few years if you don’t care for it properly but Olight stands behind their warranty and will fix it if it needs fixing or replacing
Just wait for the sale price it'll be like 99.99 like it is ATM
I swear, there will always be someone to find something to complain about.. It's only annoying because they potentially steer ppl away from a really great product. Olight will 100% warranty the battery replacement if it was needed. Which it is unlikely to need. I use mine quite a bit, every day. I carry it every day as my primary EDC, and I cycle the battery constantly due to my job and while working on the farm at night. The UV light is something I use way more than I would have thought for various things and the green laser has actually come in handy and some pretty interesting and unforeseen situations where it was the perfect thing to have on me. My dog goes nuts for the green laser too so it's a plus. My wife calls it laser therapy for my crazy puppy.
Don't get me wrong, there's a place for lights with a replaceable battery. Having a flashlight that has a replaceable battery makes sense from an emergency preparedness or survival standpoint but this is designed specifically for EDC. I've never thought that my EDC flashlight needs to have a replaceable battery. For me it hits all the marks I want in an EDC light. It's lightweight, well made, multifunctional, long lastin and fast charging battery, small in the pocket with a great deep conceal clip design, etc. seriously, what more could you possibly ask for in an EDC item. There's nothing like it on the market, especially in the EDC realm. Not in my opinion anyways.
If you are planning to be in a situation where it would be dangerous to have a battery go bad and not be able to replace it, this wouldn't be the correct style of flashlight to bring with you anyway. But even with a model that has a replaceable battery, you can't guarantee the diode wont malfunction, rendering your extra battery useless. The point is, there's a give and a take with everything and especially so with EDC. Considering that this model was designed specifically for EDC, I think they really nailed the design and it's hard to imagine how another manufacturer could possibly beat it. I really do look forward to seeing competitors try but oh I really nailed it.
Also just wondering here, do you EDC extra batteries? Lol
After a few years the battery is done, same as your Cellphone. Olight will replace the battery 😂🤣🤦 ???? Come on, how stupid are you, trusting the claims of a Chinese company lol 🤦🤦🤦🤣 ?!!!
My only complaint about the Olight Arkfeld Pro it that they have the laser as the 2nd(middle) option and UV light as the 3rd(left) option. So, when the Arkfeld Pro has the flashlight turned on in order to get to the UV light you have to scroll past the laser temporarily turning on the laser as you're scrolling left with the switch to get to the UV light. This may cause you to unknowingly turn on the laser and potentially have the laser reflect off of a surface and hit your eyes, causing eye damage or blandness(Arkfeld Pro has much stronger laser)😢 Olight should have designed the Arkfeld Pro with the UV light as the 2nd(middle) option and Laser as the 3rd(left) option!!! That way, you could access the UV light without having to scroll past the laser and temporarily turning it on👍
It has a button that you can push to turn the light on and off. So if you are worried about the laser blinding you the do not push the on button until you are ready for light to come out of the lens. It’s really easy to push the button on and off to turn the light on and off. You can avoid unwanted light by pressing the on/off button when you want the light to activate. If you push the on button the light will turn on, if you push the off putting the light will turn off. If you want uv light then select uv and push the on button but don’t push on button when the selector is on laser.
@jdh7644 I guarantee this will be Olights exact response to this issue. But it's still a potentially dangerous user interface design flaw. It's like when Olight released the original Warrior Mini, and it was overheating so bad that it could easily burn a hole in your pants pocket and burn you leg. Olights initial response was "just use the lockout feature" to prevent the Warrior Mini from turning on in your pocket. That was a weak response/answer to a dangerous design flaw😐 But Olight eventually released the Warrior Mini 2 with a built-in proximity sensor that would automatically dim the Warrior Mini 2 when it recognized it was inside your pants pocket. So I imagine that Olight will eventually address this potentially dangerous user interface design flaw by releasing a future updated Arkfeld Pro 2👍
If you change quickly, the laser doesn't come on
This guy must have an impressive collection of flashlights at this point
I've started reviewing for OLight on TikTok for 2 weeks already copped an OClip, Arkfeld Pro, iMini2 it's nuts
4 minutes of 1300 lumens!?!? The website shows off this 1300 lumen yet it only lasts for 4 minutes. For $100. Id rather get something that lasts a little bit longer.
Can you find another light that lasts with that level of brightness in this small of a package?
Typically turbo runtime is just the time before it steps down to not overheat. It won't drain the battery in that time.
Turbo is more of a niche than being useful but thay being said in a self defense situation 1300 lumens at 10 feet is ridiculously bright and blinding hell the 420lm high mode is equally as bad.
I like how you point the light right at the camera like we don’t believe you’re holding a functional light in a video about a flashlight. 👏 real brain power
So needlessly and idiotically negative. Lol You feel better? 😂
Nitecore Edc27 is far brighter and is a lot cheaper and much better in all respects.
10 bucks cheaper. Stfu
Funny product; if you use 1300 lumens means 4 minutes running time and 2,5 hours charging time. Biggest joke of the day. I had ordered and returned, when I read the specs.
Well if you actually look you'll see it goes down to less power for a few hours. Please use your eyes you have them for a reason
It is programmed to step down because of the heat. It seems you are a noob with flashlights.
Do you not know how to read a manual noob?
The battery doesn’t drain in 4 minutes, the torch reduces brightness to keep the temperature down, this is how almost all high performance torches and flashlights work
Duh
Does this bad boy have strobe??
Yes
Is it worth the money?
