    ⚡️⚡️Ableton's 9 File Extensions⚡️⚡️
    -.ALS - Ableton Set File
--This is the extension for when you save any live set
    -.ALP - Ableton Live Pack
--File extension for compressed versions of sets, excellent for sharing between different users.
    -.ASD - Audio Analysis File
--A file created by ableton with information about imported audio. This makes it so that any audio brought into Ableton will retain the time information across sets, and decreased loading time when reopening a set. This becomes particularly relevant when you have done some amount of warping to the audio.
    -.ADG - Device Rack
-- File extension for any presets saved within an instrument rack to your user library
    -.ADV - Ableton Device Preset
-- Extension for saved versions of Ableton devices not in a rack
    -.ALC - Ableton Live Clip
--Saved version of a midi clip that includes the information from the channel strip itself such as instruments and audio effects. This makes it easy and possible to take ideas from clips across live sets without losing the sounds it was originally attached to.
    -.AGR - Groove File
-- Files that allow a rhythm to be put onto any clip. This is sort of like an advanced version of quantization.
    - .AMXD - Max For Live Device
-- Any Max For Live device.

I've been using Ableton since version 1 and didn't know all this. Really helpful. Thanks.

I just learned more about how to use Ableton in a 6.5 min video than I learned thru several paid courses.
And not once did you rush click thru some mysterious menu without explanation, or jump cut around showing how you created a one hit wonder using plugins that are either expensive or are no longer available. Nor did you give us your weekly life update.
    Thank You!

Nov 28 2022 - Awesome Video Thanks (subscribed!) --- I Just bought Ableton Live 11 Suite - installed and starting to get familiar with things - in the Sample view I have a bunch of .aif files/samples that are grayed out and won't drag over - any idea of what those are from (I did move my sound files off my original c drive install and wondering if i confused Ableton Live by doing that maybe?)

Oddly the alc file can also be an audio clip. I really don't like that there isn't a distinction between audio and midi clips in the browser.

True! I guess I think of this type as clip + device settings. A distinction would be nice.
