Hi!! Your video was super helpful, thank you! Quick question: I'm currently using Google Drive for backup... but, I'm not using it in any automatic way. I basically work on my projects on my local computer, and then when I'm done for the day, I manually drag+drop them into Google Drive. The structure on my Google Drive parallels the folder management on my local computer... so on Google Drive, I have a project called "Ableton Songs", and inside that, there's a dedicated project folder for each song (and inside each of those folders, I have the .als file, samples, backups, etc). So - would you say this manual approach is FINE? I don't have my GD synced at all with my computer. Can I still feel rest assured that my project folders are being backed up properly (if god forbid something happened to my computer/SSD hard drive)? I'm at a stage where I am not yet collaborating or sharing files with others... I just need a system for backup. Thx!!

if I have a particular folder(for example that include drum kits, sample packs...) that are in iCloud storage, how to I disable the un-download feature only for this folder?

Do you have any solutions for keeping all ableton files in the cloud? Lite application settings and plugins?

This is super low-tech and not fancy…but an easy solution I use is DropBox and uploading files directly via the web browser. They have some utilities and ways to upload from your computer and not store locally, but I like the flow and process of uploading via the browser and keeping them off my local drive.
For “sync” and “backup” I use Backblaze-and love it!

What’s best course of action if I cannot collect all & save on my mac? Been having this issue for quite a while & didn’t have this issue a few years back. Would love some guidance & fantastic video!

Hey man. I have sooo many gb's of stems in my 'all my files' and it's taking up so much storage on my laptop. I dont know why but theres like 50 dublicates of each stem in there? I started to delete these from 'all my files' and when I opened my ableton projects it was giving me the dreaded missing files messages. Do you have any advice on how I can relieve my mac and give it more space?

If you use the same samples for each project and Collect all and Save every time you’ll end up with lots of duplicates.

@@fromstudiotostage so then would you delete 49 of them? And how would you know which 49 to delete to free up space?
