I failed the first test. My keyboard is plugged in, yet I'm not getting the little green light flashing at the top right corner of the screen. Now what?

I'm just learning sound design and learning synths in depth for the first time, and the tutorial mode is outstanding. I love that it sets up specific scenarios for the features its explaining. I also like the info it gives you on individual presets, even showing you a photo of the person who designed it. The presentation overall is very premium. Got it on sale for half price too.

I'm following yours tutorials and made my setup rig for live performance. I'm using Steinberg Halion as VST and Novation impulse as keyboard. I trigger clips with pads on my impulse, 8 pads - 8 channels. And all it is good. Using without a problems. But i want to improve my setup. I want to switch off previous instrument. When i change instrument (another dummy clip), to turn off previous instrument. To save CPU. Is it possible? I hope i will find in some of your videos (tutorials). Thank you anyway that i made to come here so far.

Hey guys! I currently have 3 pieces of gear that I’d like to use. 1) Arturia Keystep 37 2) Roland JV1080 3) Scarlett 18i20 With these pieces of gear I want to: 1) Play my JV1080 with the Keystep 2) Use the Keystep to play sounds on Ableton 3) Use MIDI in Ableton to sequence sounds from the JV1080. Can anyone advise me on the connections/routing options to make this work? I have been stumped with this for a while and can’t seem to achieve all three playing options highlighted above… any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance :)

Seems overly convoluted to me. I use a DAW (old version of Acoustica Mixcraft) with the different VSTs I use line up in the channel section. Easily add FX to indivdual VSTs on their channel, or the Master Buss. Leave the Hammond VST screen open over the empty space in the DAW so I can see the controls, which are mapped to my MIDI keyboard. My setup seems a lot less hassle than this!

hi. what abouit during playback suddenly 1 midi not just stop triggering midi . disable and reenable keyboard is not working.. look in in MID-OX. this not is working normaly.. so what happens in ableton so that this note stop triggering.. did not found any awnser on internet yet..only what helps is shutdown ableton and restart..but that is not an option on stage..

Can you do this using a knob on the korg nanokontrol 2? If so will this work to be able to use the same knob in this way for multiple patches throughout a setlist or will the midi mapping get messed up from being linked to the chain selector of an sound that is used in several different patches (instruments)?

do both run in iPad?

Massive is the best to me

This question may sound stupid. How are you managing to record loops without metronome on SL MK3. I mean as far as i understood you need to keep looking at the LEDs on the steps and play when the first LED blinks. How is it that this Controller doesn't have a metronome? Or am i missing something? Can you please answer ?

I used to have Reason Propellerhead, and shifted to Ableton Live. However, Abeton is CPU extensive. In comparison, does Gig Performer uses CPU more as well?

The only problem ive been experiencing with a setup pretty much identical to this has been the latency. There is a considerable amount of time in between the input and output.

What if we have a PA system what would i need?

Well, my problem comes with an Oxygen 61 MK IV, I'm manually mapping the controls and all was going fine but.. when it came to the mod wheel that I want it to assing to CC1 I can't find a way to do it, I program the mod wheel to send the CC1 with values between 0 to 127, then I switch to MIDI map mode in ableton, and I click in, by example, track 1 and then I move the wheel to let Ableton to know the control I'm assigning, but what it does it's to change to track 2.. instead expression command. I don't want to use the auto mapping since it maps awfully for my way of using it.. but I cannot find a way to program and assign the mod wheel. Do you know how to do it? Or if you know where I can find the information it will be welcomed.

no built in sounds... FFS really. professionals as in huge top names use MainStage real professionals massive names that fill huge stadiums and its stable as. Im not sure what planet you're on. two programs get used by massive bands in the last 2 years Ableton live and MainStage .

Looks Ike te guys at Gig Performer took the logic environment and implemented it as the back bone for routing.

If you're playing live you wouldn't be connecting to speakers. You'd be connected to an amp or direct out hopefully with a monitor. Speakers are great for the home. I am trying to figure out how to use MIDI running on Linux for a live gig.

Hi Sir thanks very much for your informative Video. Could you explain how to configure each Patch/Sound within Ableton akin to Splits on a regular Keyboard? Example: Organ from C2 - B2: Piano from C3 - B3: E.P. & Strings from C4 - B4: Sample from C5... Thus using Ableton as a MIDI/USB Live Keyboard Template connecting to any USB/MIDI Keyboard!

Hi Sir. Thanks for sharing. I find your Videos quite informative. I probably don't know the right question to ask as I am just starting to use Ableton Live... I would like to be able to use Ableton Live as a Keyboard having the ability to Split Patches & Trigger Samples using the onboard Sounds from Ableton Live 10. So far I have not seen a Tutorial from Ableton or anywhere showing how this can be done. There are Musicians who no longer worry about taking their Keyboards with them. Just their Computer & connect via USB to any Keyboard that is USB compatible turning of the Local Channel.... Are you able to point me in the right direction? I would greatly appreciate it thanks.

Damn, I want serum because I used to have massive and while I made whole records with those sounds, it wasn't too fun of a process. Serum sounds like the direction I wanna go (plus i prefer the visual aspect), but native instruments is offering 14 plug ins for 100 bucks. Decisions, decisions.
