Went to school for music engineering and production, many years of recording and production in computers, but just couldn't wrap my head around Ableton. With your helpful videos, this 45 year old is now diving into electronic music production, which I've always wanted to learn. I also find your videos very straight forward and easy to understand. Thank you for your work!
Dude. I've studied music for 40 years. I have a PhD (in a vastly different discipline) and am chair of an academic department at the university level. You are such an A-MAZE-ING instructor. Thanks so much for the tutorials!
Would love a video on advanced sampler techniques. Just getting started learning Ableton Daw and music production best practices and your videos are super helpful. Please keep sharing your knowledge and hands on experience!
It’s cool seeing so many people pick up learning music theory & creating in a DAW. I really appreciate your teaching style TAETRO. Its demystified a lot of fundamentals and hope everyone continues their learning process. Creating is what we do as humans. There’s room for all of us 🍊
thats crazy how easy is to learn with you i didn't even have to pause the video - perfect balance between learning and applying things at the same time, much love thank you!♥🎶
Agree with most of these comments about how good these tutorials are. I bought a Launchpad Mini Mk2 years ago and gave up on it. Got it back out again and watched more tutorials and almost gave up again, but this one is great and I will probably watch all of your videos now. Thanks!
I can't imagine how long it would have taken me to get to this point in Ableton on my own. It's a feature-packed platform and those nitty-gritty details (like warping!) are golden nuggets. You are providing an immensely useful training for beginners. It's like you can read my mind on what I want to focus on next. Thank you!!
Hi! I came here because after a long while of using Logic Pro, I purchased Live. I remembered your tutorials for music production and so I was happy to see you made something for A'ton too.
That right click Simpler to Sampler conversion is exactly what I needed. I wanted to the warped notes feature in Simpler but also wanted the better ping pong loop feature in Sampler. Thank you so much for the tip!!! Googling was no help
Bought myself an Arturia Keylab this month and started learning as much as I can about music theory, Ableton, Drum patterns and overall music creation. Your videos have been a tremendous help. Your laid back attitude and natural talent for explaining this stuff really keep me going! Thank you sir, it is highly appreciated!
Absolute beginner here. So much more confident after watching this series and I know what a lot more of the words actually mean. Very well laid out and explains each change made.
Good stuff Taetro! Ditto here. Just recently got Ableton myself, and your tutorials have been invaluable. Along with so many others, as it would seem here, I just couldn't resist letting you know, just out of sheer appreciation for your patience and work by painstakingly putting these videos together. Amazing job. And thanks so much. Can't wait to move on to the next tutorial. You actually make learning this DAW allot fun. Good show... 😊
Whoa, my mind is blown. Sampling seems like an incredible deep world. Man, this is gonna be my homework for tonight. Thank you for making this awesome video.
Complete newbie here and been working through this beginner series slowly. This video suddenly opened my mind to how many crazy things could be possible, can't wait to watch the rest!
thank you so much.✌ I have watched all of your Ableton beginner's videos and they really help me out with all my doubts. You’ve made a positive difference in my life. keep the good ideas coming...
I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to do this for us all. I have wanted to get into music production for 15 years. I’ve tried to dabble here and there but have struggled to ever find a resource that could communicate things to someone who just cannot follow the language. Thank you so much. I’ve been writing ideas for 8 years on my loop station with organic instruments, saving those “scribbles” in hopes one day I could make them finished ideas. I’ll get there because of you.
you are an INCREDIBLE teacher!!!! I got ableton live knowing nothing about it and just followed your guides pretty much exclusively, and now i can confidently say that for me.... ableton is here to stay!! 🙂
You're a great teacher, Taetro! I've been using Live for over 3 years and your vids are always worth watching even if just for one or two little nuggets. I would love to see a vid on library organization in Live. For example, using your previous samples/midi files in new projects, creating a groove library, etc. Basically just something that helps building a personal library within Ableton. Also, yes please to another chapter on sampling!
thank you thank you thank you so much for this series. i'm just getting started with music production and your videos make the whole journey super accessible and exciting, i'm so happy.
Hey Taetro, long time fan here! Ableton is familiar to me personally but I'd be very interested in your guide for content creation and combined media. You're quite visual and have a cool aesthetic that works perfectly with your musicality. Maybe you could shed light on questions like: 1. What kind of software you use in your editing? 2. What color grading you do and any insight for the LUT's you use or recommend? 3. Tips on how do you sync your audio with the video or multiple videos from different perspectives? 4. What's your streaming setup software wise? 5. Do you use Abletons video playback to sync with the audio or just use a different platform to sync the tracks? Maybe some future video ideas?
I agree with this. Maybe after you've finished the whole Ableton series and if you have time....I feel like the "how" of how content creators create their content is kept very secret by everyone.
Thank you Simalaa! I’ve actually done a video on my video creation process AND did a full members workshop on it as well. Since this is a music channel, it’s tough to make dedicated content about making RUclips vids. But those are the best places to start.
UNREAL I have been loving this whole series. I am totally(as in totally) new to Ableton so this has been my training ground. Thanks so much ...more of what you are doing with this...cheers
PS As far as a direction to go after this (as you mentioned) do you have now, or are you planning to walk us through creation of a few songs, step by step, in a way that we can follow along with yuo at home? Thanks again.
Started watching you from the music theory videos, got hooked up with playing music, bought a minilab 3 to learn by playing, and i intend to watch every playlist you made to help me get the grasp of the music world, thanks for inspiring me and giving me the stimulus to start practicing what i love, you are a huge gift for everyone that loves music and wants to learn about it, hope you good and stay cool
Absolutely love all your videos, been eating them up this week, absolutely zero experience in any of this but youve given me enough confidence to get started and see what happens, my Novation Launchkey Mk3 49 is arriving today, lets go!!!
@@b00ts4ndc4ts I still use it. Mostly to track audio & mix my stuff at this point. Live 12 didn’t seem to have much for me, I’m still on 11 Intro and it works for me and my situation.
I got live 11 suite & never knew about sampler 🤯 Can you do an in-depth song sampling video because I love these videos I learn something new everytime.
Awesome as always. You're a great teacher. I'd be interested to see a more advanced sampling video if you keep this course going. Something like chopping up a sample and creating a song around it if that's something you're interested in doing. Thanks for all the content!
Thank you TEATRO! It is a great series! I learn a lot from you! Well done! Excellent and precise tutorial for the beginner! You're the BEST! Thanks a lot!

thank YOU so much for the super thanks Anthony!
Incredibly well deserved
wow 45 cool. I thought I am starting it late at my 25 years. Good to know that any age might start liking DAWs

thank you Justin for the super thanks!!!
@jmartinky Nice, what’s your PhD in?
Agreed
Skill issue
Buy far the best Ableton video for my understanding. Thank you.
Thank you Macho!!
This gotta be the best video on RUclips, we need advanced sampling videos for the betterment of the earth!
I’m planning to make this! Can you let me know if there’s specific things / questions you have?
@@Taetro how to loop with samples that don't fit a 4 bar loop (or any nice number). That would be great!

Thank you Taetro, I just continue learning with your videos. This channel is THE music production academy!

Video about side chaining or basics to music theory start to end episodes on creating a song , song structure maybe
He already has a series on music theory, something like 5-6 videos 😉
Thank you so much for these videos! They have been great getting me started with Abelton Live!

Thanks Taetro, a brilliant tutorial on Simpler and Warping. You explain things so well and make it so easy to understand.

I love how knowledgeable you are but yet completely gentle. Thank you for being you.
Very easy to follow. Good teaching style . Yes more advanced sampling techniques and tip would be welcome by myself and no doubt many .Big Love
Ahhhaha the fun rythm that was created due to unwarping the kick was very cool. Thans for your professionalism and nice style man 🎩

Super useful tutorial. More of this please. Really appreciate it.
Just upgraded to Intro. Thanks for doing this, I’m self taught so this absolutely helps me find things I missed or never knew about
Stoked to hear it!
Just noticed that it a year ago since you made this comment and just out of interest are you still using Ableton? If so how you getting on with it?
