Pretty sure the bass player was just a stand in. I think Jeff (the guitarist) played all the parts on this album including bass. Highly underrated player honestly.
The apogee of thrash metal at a worldwide scale. Here we've got these talented guys with the powerful sound of Canadian thrash. A great moment to be alive!
I love songs like this (see also Alice Cooper's Halo of Flies or Slayer's Hell Awaits), where the band has like four great riffs that most bands would kill to have just one of in their whole career, and just throws them out at the start of the song before it even gets going.
Apesar de ser inspirada em uma triste e real história, "Alison Hell" é uma das músicas mais fodas do Thrash Metal. Não é atoa que é a mais conhecida da banda.
This song....what can I say, it gets more enjoyable every listen. The melodica segueing into thrashing riffonometry, the operatic vocal bits morphing into insane screaming..this song truly is a masterpiece. Another great one for people who love this song is "World on Fire" which has similar guitar hammering and driving beats..

Holy crap.
It's been like forever since i listened to this band.
What is it ? 25 years ago.
Great musicians, recognized by this old speedmetalhead.
Legendary Roadrunner
watchingponies same here... time flies..
You better of listened to this again since the last comment you made 2 years ago 😡😡😡
@@lottostanktop3395 I know this comment is but chill
This was some fucking phenomenal bass playing.
Pretty sure the bass player was just a stand in. I think Jeff (the guitarist) played all the parts on this album including bass. Highly underrated player honestly.
@@lorenmorgan1931 Yeah, according to Songsterr’s tabs, Jeff is credited with the bass on this album. He really is a fantastic musician.
@@scarabmcgee263 Very much so and very over looked sadly. Maybe the YT algorithm gods will boost this one up!
@@peteralexander3791
Yeah. I saw. Gotta say though, I’m actually intruiged to hear Stu Block play this stuff live now.
It's not phenomenal bass playing, it's just prominent in the mix. 😂
The apogee of thrash metal at a worldwide scale. Here we've got these talented guys with the powerful sound of Canadian thrash. A great moment to be alive!
He'll yea!
Warms my black heart to see you young gunz keep the old school metal torch lit !!! Pour gas on it maniacs !!!
Damn straight!!
Never shall we lit it grow dim \m/
+Hammer of Justice Crushes You OVERPOWER Yessssssssssssssssssss
I'm a 17 year old girl and discovering these classic metal bands. I'm loving this song. Any recommendations, fellas?
im just not getting into metal (still gonna keep my love for punk) lol (cringe i know)
Rampage got a awesome voice!!!
Felipe Coronel sadly he has passed away which absolutely sucks!!
I love songs like this (see also Alice Cooper's Halo of Flies or Slayer's Hell Awaits), where the band has like four great riffs that most bands would kill to have just one of in their whole career, and just throws them out at the start of the song before it even gets going.
This song is so scary and the whole band is amazingly talented as an professional guitarist i really loved the riffs and solos.
when this album came out it annhilated the metal scene. too much talent. legendary
RIP Randy, your voice was perfect for this song (and the whole LP too )
Bear in mind there are 2 singers on this track.
Apesar de ser inspirada em uma triste e real história, "Alison Hell" é uma das músicas mais fodas do Thrash Metal. Não é atoa que é a mais conhecida da banda.
Still one of my favorites. Jeff never got the credit he deserves. What a great player!!!
Unsure as to why so many disliked this. They crushed this track.
Probably Bieber fans
@YUNGMEXICANBEANER absolutely not, thrash rules
@YUNGMEXICANBEANER only late 80s, early 90s, 99.9% of new stuff sucks
@YUNGMEXICANBEANER L opinion
@YUNGMEXICANBEANERrap sucks ass
I can't get enough of the riff between 3:25 - 3:30
This song rocks
lyrics:
Alice, isn't frightening?
Alice, aren't you scared?
Alice, isn't is wonderful?
Living life afraid
Don't look around the corner
I might be lurking there
Under the bed at night
You're up till dawn again
Alison hell - Your mind begins to fold
Alison hell - Aren't you growing cold?
Alison hell - You are looking blue
Alison hell - What else can you do?
I begin my rule, life hideous in your mind
Crying out, you've lost your doll
It isn't worth a dime
Alison hell - Your mind begins to fold
Alison hell - Aren't you growing cold?
Alison hell - What are you looking for?
Alison hell - Soon I close the door
Sitting in the corner, you are naked and alone
No one listened to your fears, you've created me
Alice, isn't frightening?
Alice aren't you scared?
I was killed at birth
I shoot this final scene
You're in the basement
You're trapped insanity
Alison hell - What were you looking for?
Alison hell - As I close the door
Alison hell - Here you shall dwell
Alison hell - Alice dwells in hell
Alice
Alison
Alice
In hell
Goodbye
Seen these guy's open up for Testament in Cleveland at my first ever concert. I believe it was 1989 or so. Needless to say, it was pretty heavy by 1989 standards and still holds up today. I was so impressed, I went and bought the Alice In Hell cassette the next day and headbanged to it til it wore out, then I went and got the cd, still a classic that is in my rotation today🤘
Where was the show? Where'd you buy the record? (Former Clevelander)
I saw them as well. In Toronto
1. I never realized that was Annabelle the doll
2. Why did I always remember Jeff being in a red Coca Cola tshirt ? Lol
3. When Jeff screams Alice, I cream.
It's a raggedy Anne doll.
@Horror and Halloween 101
Yes, but the real Annabelle WAS a raggedy Anne doll.
Yeah but it's not the one and only Annabelle. Annabelle is on display in some museum
It's called the Mandela effect
Cream.
Rest in Peace, Randy.
Honestly I like all kinds of metal... I've been listening to metal since the 80s... I've watched the progress into the different genres that we have today...and love it at 59 years young...but this is probably Annihilators best song...
1:11 - 1:25 Aaah, I love that riff.
3:58 randy rampage was ahead of his time with his moves
I’d like to thank my dad for giving me his box of cassette tapes and his Walkman for me to find this absolute masterpiece of a fucking album and band \,,/ Keep It Rockin
3:30 “SITTING IN THE CORNER YOU ARE NAKED AND ALOOOONE!”
3:40 “NO ONE LISTENED TO YOUR FEARS YOU CREATED ME!”
Waking up to this every morning when my alarm goes off starts my day off just right :D
This is a masterpiece... so creative.
I suddenly have the urge to book a flight with Virgin America. Strange, I know.
you noticed the shirt, didn't you
They've got product placement in almost every video and live performance :D
***** That wouldn't make a lot of sense either. Annihilator was never signed to Virgin Records. Alice in Hell was released under Roadrunner.
***** You took this thread a little too seriously.
***** Yeah, you explained something so lighthearted.
Jeff is a master of his craft. Been a fan for over 20 years
Jesus the guitars in this are fucking amazing. How have I never heard this before?
song came out in 89 but still sounds fresh as HELL......\m/\m/
One of the greatest songs ever made
Just found this. I am listening on repeat so I can.learn the guitar. So bad ass!! Why was this band never a main name in metal??? This is amazing guitar work.
Que banda espetacular...nos meus 35 anos, me envergonho de não ter conhecido antes...
Jeff Waters looks like a fucking metal god in this video
Fuck yes
because he is a fucking metal god
thAt becAuse he is.
Halford is the greatest of them all
Ryan Dunham no, i did
This is an iconic metal masterpiece anthem to all us old schoolers out there 🤘🏻
Jeff waters. Most underrated guitarist to ever hail from Canada. Awesome band.
My dad sang, and jammed with these guys in their garage in the 80s.
No sir, he did not.
@@SwampDweller67 Yes sir, he did. Richmond and Qoquitlam BC. Jeff still remembered him like 7 years ago when they played at a local concert venue. Do I care if you believe it or not though? No. It was over 30 years ago.

RIP Randy Rampage :(
What an awesome song and the setup of that room is to die for. Drums, Marshall stacks, its killer.
It was great to see that Randy Rampage was on the best Annihilator album, May he live forever in the hearts of every Annihilator fan out there!
i would suggest listening to the song before watching the video. this song is PERFECT but the visuals take away from it. within all the changes, just in the opening minute.... you have to realize....that almost every style is included in the opening arsenal. bad ass, i've been turning people onto this for decades, and it still holds up. the visuals aren't horrible, but they do deter from the pure amazingness of the journey your headphones and eyes closed will give you....
I've always thought music videos in general do that. I may not even like the song that much until I'm forced to just focus on the music.
I ran across this video by curiosity. Jeff waters is an excellent musician. Great rhythm /riffs and an amazing guitar solo.
A real masterpiece \m/

RIP Randy Rampage singer in the Alison Hell album. He is the blonde guy.
Yeah, we got to figure out who’s the singer.
I literally just found this band a few minutes ago, now i just found out the lead singer for this album passed away wtf
El tiempo le dara a este tema el reconocimiento que se merece.
Saludos de Argentina.

Aguante Annihilator y el metal
aaeaaa yo soy sabaleroo
3:26-3:44 this part right here displays the absolute genius of annihilator
1:48 i'm watching this video and focusing on the visuals instead of the music. I love how Randy just appears next to the drummer instead of walking on. It adds to spooky vibe of the vid. It's like Rand was one of the ghosts haunting Allison!
WHY.....have I never heard of this band before??? These guys are talented AF !! If this is "Canada's Answer to Metallica", it's one helluva good answer!!
My first cassette TDK 90!!

Perfect rendition of a person in mental anguish heading for insanity. This band did a perfect job.
