My good mate who absolutely loved TOOL has just unfortunately passed away after losing his battle with cancer, he was only 38. We only seen them live once, in Prague 2019 & we were both due to go see them this year in Manchester, UK. This was one of his favourite songs off the new album. I will always think about him whenever I listen to this and will bring happiness and good memories spent with him. This song will be played at his funeral. Rest easy Brother.
Danny Carey is truly amazing - I can't comprehend how you could begin to write something as inventive as this. He has created a whole new boundary for drummers like myself and consistently pushes the limits of drumming.
@@The_GreenHub MIke himself said this in the video -- it's the creativity that had his mind blown; the fills, the tempo shifts, the structured space in the song, the time signatures, the polyrhythms, the syncopation. Danny and Mike are both geniuses -- game recognize game ;)
@@The_GreenHub Yes, notice how easy DC makes this look live. A professional percussionist isn't about difficulty, it's an all-encompassing mastery of all aspects of the field. Starting with just silence.
I am Ethiopian and the beat from the 7:00 - 8:45 is similar to that of a local tribe called 'Wolaita' - fast paced and energetic, that is my favorite part of this masterpiece.
Just the drum track alone is a masterpiece. Perfectionist beast of a drummer Danny Carey is pushing 60 at 58, Justin Chancellor 47, Maynard 55, Adam Jones 54. Much respect to these legendary musicians. Timeless music. Astounding release, thank you!
I'm 52 from the UK. Tbh I'd never heard of tool before. I heard them on Spotify a few weeks before the new album came out. Where have I been? This band is like my new drug now, always on where ever I am. What a time to be alive and finding this musical art.
I am 15 from the US and I've been listening to this band since I was eight or nine. It's kinda cool and funny seeing all of these new people come in and being like "wow, what's this new band on spotify and how are they already at #1?"
This song simultaneously sounds like it was buried in a crypt, never to be found, ancient and forgotten but yet sounds like it’s 1000 years from the future. i love tool
They are truly of another universe. They tied together the whole human journey in no small part because of the massive amount of evolution. They’ve done in their own lives.

I'M NEAR 75 AND FIRST HEARD TOOL ON MTV, THE SONG SOBER, SINCE THEN THEY HAVE BEEN MY FAV BAND, SAW THEM TWICE, NOT NEAR ENOUGH, PURE GENIUS. PERFECT BAND,PERFECT MUSIC.
I am so glad I found this music. I'm pushing 70. Been listening to rock all my life--literally. Finding new music that's worth listening to is getting harder and harder. Downloaded Fear Inoculum yesterday and I can't get enough. I don't know yet if all Tool's music is this good, but I'm going to sure find out. To me, at least on this CD, Tool is this generation's Pink Floyd--that is high praise indeed.
Early albums of Tool were made by the King Crimson producer, so at fact you will find a lot of universals ideas and aura in their style in general. Cheers!
Pokey 54 Tool doesn’t have a bad album, but my favorite is Lateralus. Tools first 2 albums were opiate (live ep album) and undertow. Very raw and awesome. Then things took a lil more experimental turn for Aenima and everything after. I would check out some of May nards other projects like “A perfect circle” too! They are great!
When they played this live a few weeks ago, i closed my eyes and felt the music...... it wasn't just a rock concert it was a journey an experience like no other...
I get why these songs are long.... it takes time to take you to the place it wants to bring you. You have to immerse yourself into the music and the results are very rewarding

TOOL's music is nothing short of a musical Big Bang, a cosmic creation and simultaneously, a poignant end to the universe. It's an experience that has left me utterly speechless, a testament to the profound impact their artistry has had on me. Their sonic landscapes unfold like the universe itself, with layers of intricate melodies, and each lyric carries the weight of a collapsing star - intense, deep, and emotionally explosive. In every note, TOOL manages to encapsulate the essence of a journey, a voyage through the vast expanse of emotions. It's as if they've tapped into the very fabric of existence, weaving together a tapestry of sound that resonates with the complexities of life. The music is a gentle caress for the mind and soul, a cosmic embrace that leaves an indelible mark. And this particular song, it feels like the Big Bang of all Big Bangs - a creation that takes shape only to unravel, making way for a rebirth. It's a musical metamorphosis, a celestial dance where every note and lyric converges and diverges in a cosmic rhythm. This composition is more than just an auditory experience; it's a journey through the cycles of creation and destruction, a sonic representation of the universe's eternal ebb and flow. (16/6/2024)
@@droptherapy2085 I must admit that this band - The Contortionist - was completely unknown to me until yesterday. However, based on my initial listen, I can say that I thoroughly enjoy their musical compositions. That said, I find "Clairvoyant" to be a better and more intriguing piece compared to "Language." The song "Relapse", with its complex subtlety, has particularly resonated with me and is currently my favorite track. Thank you for the excellent music recommendation! :-)

The reason fans of Tool come from all ages, is because TOOL's sound is truly timeless. They're ahead of their time really. Maynard has always been incredibly talented, and their sound has only been refined over the years. They're severely underrated. I hope they can live to see people realize what they're really all about. The perspective in the narrative, and constant attention to detail in the music itself, really create something that transcends all barriers, be it evolutionary, or interplanetary. Absolutely one of the best bands of all time, not just musically, but also in they message they're trying to send to people. All I wish is that more people would listen honestly, and try to understand. At it's heart, everything is a message of unity. It's an expression of our connection to the cosmos. The universe. God. Call it what you will. The power that guides us to do the right thing. To be better than yesterday. For the good of everyone. It reminds us that we are fundamentally alone, but also diametrically together.
I agree with everything you said but them being underrated. these guys are very accomplished musicians, who are getting big numbers across all of their music

I have listened to Tool since early-mid 90's, been to 4 concerts. I am rediscovering their music, hearing things I have never heard in their music. I have hearing damage, but I never realized what I was not hearing. Greatest band ever.
It's crazy how much they layer their music. I've listened to a lot of their isolated instrumentals and I love the little ghost notes and accents each member brings. Even Maynard whispers ad libs and makes sound effects in certain songs

Plenty of time to decide if I want to change to something different. The noise cancelling in these is also amazing. There is a button that toggles it on and off so if needed, you can hear exterior (outside the headphones) sounds for safety or your phone.... When turning them on they automatically link to paired devices. There is a slight audio sync delay with video over wireless. If just listening to music only it is fine. My Smart TV has optical and HDMI-ARC audio output, but no ability to adjust audio sync. These headphones have a 3.5mm audio aux input. Danny is like the secret superstar of tool according to many musicians and experts. Me aswell. THe whole Band is absolutly fantastic and probably the most complex band we have. But Dannys Drumming is controlling everything that makes tool special. The Timings, the atmosphere, all Sounds that sound like digital are E-Drums etc. He is doing the Timing, He is brining the heavyness into certain parts and on this album especially drums are suuuper hard in focus. If you listen to it try to notice what is the leading instrument. There are a lot of solos aswell. Fear Inoculum will be a super special Album for Drummers of generations to come. It is one very rare kind of drum focused Album that can give a lot of inspiration, practice etc. I don't know if non-drummers can understand what i mean but this is just super special for us :D

Every song on this album was a blast letting it grow on you. There literally like a jazz band metaphorically feel like a jazz how every member always compliments one another with how they play their instruments and also setting up a window for each member to always have a random moment to shine with their instrument. The impression I got listening to some jazz music that's what they do.
To everyone in TOOL, I love you, Thank you so much for your beautiful music. Love you all so much ❤️ your music has been a light in a sea of darkness for me.
One of the few bands I know of today that absolutely loves playing their instruments...so many bands, especially pop bands, seem to just tack on the instrumental as a necessity, and would rather have everything simulated by computer. Very few bands have the talent, courage, and vision to give their instruments a voice. Long interludes of purity even though Maynard is a phenominal singer. It sort of reminds me of an orchestra with modern instruments. Bach, Mozart, et al wrote instrumentals when it gets down to it (of course operas too). But these masters enjoyed the instrumental composition. I get a similar feeling with Tool.
When you're about to go to sleep and you get the notification of a new Tool's song and instantly you lost sleep. I've just called my boss to tell her tomorrow I won't be going to work. Let's celebrate we all have made it people, too many didn't do it.! Congrats.

@@parkergray4834 Whos Robin? lol. @Randall I agree, every song I listen to on here by Tool I will scroll down and read like 10-15 comments and peoples replies and when I read some of the comments it makes me so happy because for a long time it seemed people (outside of the true fan base) percieved Tool as a depressing "heavy metal" and too much screaming type of band (honestly, that's words I've heard people used who hadn't actually bothered to take the time to actually listen), but now I'm seeing people coming from every corner of the galaxy to make a positive remark and to celebrate such beautiful music. Another great thing is the comments I've read about people just discovering Tool for the first time, or Taylor Swift fans came to listen just to see what the fuss was about and seems like most of em get hooked on Tool immediately and keep saying "why haven't I been listening to Tool forever" and "wow I thought I wasn't going to like this, but here I am falling in love with Tool". hahahaha Tool transcends genre's, time and space and if there is by some crazy chance a God :P out there.... then it listens to Tool too.

@All American Chutzpah what do you mean?

@@knowtheroleof course they ' evolved ' their music , the band members themselves ' evolved ' too , the years ' brought ' them more experience , they can probably play / sing better überhaupt perform better and have gained more experience through the years ( i highly doubt if the last 20 years made them less experienced about life or about being a musician ) but the thing is , they keep the original ' style ' of the band they keep that original sing style and they somehow seem to manage to make something new out of that , a new ' classic ' tool song if u will and that is just plain cool (; if u ask me

@@ruofanyu6699 Tool is like nature in that each of their songs a small individual piece of the puzzle, it's only when you take a step back and examine the entirety do you see the bigger picture.
I was in highschool when 10,000 days dropped. I am 33 years old now.
@Evo Shift probably not who you think. It was some lawsuit. Absolute shame how much time was wasted. I think the band would agree too
I just got my first high-quality headphones. After an exhausting research, I chose Bose, never owning anything close to this quality before.
I have listened to Tool since early-mid 90's, been to 4 concerts. I am rediscovering their music, hearing things I have never heard in their music. I have hearing damage, but I never realized what I was not hearing.
Greatest band ever.
there was an interview about this, if not high quality u miss on most their genius
Which headphones did you choose from Bose?
It's crazy how much they layer their music. I've listened to a lot of their isolated instrumentals and I love the little ghost notes and accents each member brings. Even Maynard whispers ad libs and makes sound effects in certain songs
@@ups438 The New Bose QuietComfort Wireless. I am very happy with them and the sound quality is absolutely amazing. Received from Amazon Nov 20, eligible for return thru Jan 31, 2024!
I am reviewing 4K HDMI-ARC to 3.5mm audio extractor to add to the TV so I can plug in a 20 foot aux cable when watching TV, (I have hearing loss that makes this necessary for me).
Right now all Tool fans are one. Listening to some of the greatest music to be produced.
Not just TOOL fans brother. We are all one. But you're right, this album is like a conduit, reminding us all that we are connected. Breath in union.
August Greig Agreed.

Tool fans...
People that don't make music don't know how difficult is to create a chorus line that works, even more in every album and in every song, but they have done it again...
I have nothing but the utmost awe and respect for musicians... what they do individually is an amazing feat in itself but then to come together and make it all work with the egos involved...it’s amazing. Music is one of the greatest things humanity has and will ever create.
Danny Carey is an absolute BEAST of a drummer, even at 58 years old.
So is ...Lars Ulrich at age 56 ..

They were were too scared to ask any questions
Same happened to me, except every year of my life. Thanks mom.
Ahhahah great!
The therapy in a few years shouldn't cost too much. :p
That actually reminds me of a guy that used to pick me up for work everyday. He'd always have the 1978 War of the Worlds Musical Version playing. Strange fellow he was.
Gotta get the cd and see my 18 month old and new born grow up with the music.
I could listen to this all day. One of the few songs ever recorded that could never and will never run its course and no matter how often I listen to it, just never gets old. This is Pure Art from Tool.
I can't go one day without hearing this song. I've actually picked up my Bible again. Maynard is my idle
I’d pull for Tone Loc wild thing as another song that never loses ground. But that’s just me.
Just discovering Tool in my 55th year on the planet. They are brilliant and Danny Carey is an incredible drummer.
Welcome aboard !
Danny Carey never ceases to amaze
GREAT!!
Welcome...
I had never heard if them until they were put on spotify. Now my playlist is home to 19 of there songs.
I have the regret to have discovered this band only recently. What an absolut masterpiece!!!!
better now than never. enjoy.
good news they're touring 🎉
enjoy the ride!!

Danny’s drumming on this is outstanding, the gats, bass and vocals! all of them are on fire.
Listen to his drumming on chocolate chip trip
I am not bullshitting when I say I'm glad I got to live long enough to hear this!!!!
So glad I survived 2 heart attacks to get to this point, so i understand you well good sir :D

I will be jamming this album for years to come. This is a historic day my friends. God I can’t stop smiling like an idiot. This is too good. I feel truly lucky to be alive to listen to this work of art. Long live Tool.
Same here, I was counting the days down and my anxiety was telling me I might not live to see this day. Fuck you anxiety. I have found an inocolum to fight you with! He he he!
My feelings. They somehow ruined my mid 20's and early 30's by not being there with new music. I mean how many times can one listen to vicarious.
I feel so sorry for all the fans that passed away without being able to hear the new album... Rip guys.
Your so right. Theres so much to unpack and dissect! It will be an amazing journey.
Same, yesterday I hit a point so low, hell the past month or so has been utter chaos and depression. Worth it to listen to this new album, to internalize the words, and honestly feel anew.
I'm a 62 year old woman. This is the first time I've ever heard this band. I listened to "Polo's" reaction on his channel. Don't know if you know you're his favourite band?
The bass in this song and the guitar riffs are out of this world amazing...
To experience new Tool 13 years later, listening to this, in this moment, is like a spiritual awakening.
calm down.
It's amazing. I'm in tears, tears of joy and appreciation and gratitude and bliss. TOOL is a healthy drug.
Unbelievable realizing I’ve listened to these guys for 25+ years and I’ll never get sick of them. Transcending.
I've had my son and daughter listening to tool in the womb. When they head the album turn on, they both immediately shut the hell up and just listened. We were driving and they hate car rides. Brought my kids a moment of peace.
"Transcending" - as accurate as you can describe this album in a word
It's been 17 years for me, but I didn't develop my own taste in music until I was 15. I grew up listening to rock, but old rock. I'm often asked if I listen to anything other than Tool, but I can't help it, they are the best hands down.
I was listening to them 15 years ago ,maybe a little bit before. i think i was 18 or 19 when i got my first tool album lateralus. Wish i could have discovered them sooner. They are a great band
When you set the standard for how music should sound & be produced nothing gets old w Tool

automachinehead That makes no sense. People hate nickelback,
@Super Otter 2 "Just don't like the shitty black people music." Common dude that's racist, mainly because there is no such thing as race.

Maynard's voice is heaven to my ears. His voice is intoxicating.
Watch his episode of the joe Rogan experience

Yes 👐
Orgasmic!!!!
kinda wish he used it more on this album!
Congrats.

Is this song therapeutic for anyone else? Whenever I feel anxious, sad, etc. I just listen to the song & the first 5 seconds just relieve me so much. This song in particular makes me forget about everything for 10 min. I’ve never experienced this with any other song. It captivates me within the first 10 seconds
You're not the only one. I feel the same way. I listen at least once a day. I saw them perform Pneuma live twice and each time I shed tears.
Both of you. Marry me... please
you are very beautiful
The first time I heard this song I just stared at myself in the mirror and forgot about everything aswell
even though i do not share that feeling of listening to tool when im sad... in my opinion, there are scales and chords, notes, etc to create music related to sadness. Despite of that, i can't agree more with this therapeutic atmosphere it creates
When is Tool going to drop their Christmas album?

pneuma is actually a Christmas song because its about winter solstice
When Mariah Carey stops making them.

I was pregnant with my son when this album came out. I waited what seemed like forever for this album since 10,000 days when I was in high school. I played this song and cried like a baby then constantly put this album on ear phones on my belly. My son is 4 now and is obsessed with Tool. My daughter is 12 (I also played Tool even while she was in the womb) and on her phone she has Puscifer, A Perfect circle and Tool on her Playlist without my knowledge. Proud mom moment.
