The modern church has no idea of what biblical restoration is. If it involves some type of psychology or counseling, it is not of God. We restore someone by pointing them back to the Cross of Christ. Jesus Christ defeated sin and broke the power of the sin nature at the cross. Our trust in His Finished Work is the only thing that can restore the believer.

She was a minor and if the family had decided to speak for the minor and they didn't bring this to the authorities and the office of the District Attorney. Then the parents are responsible for their own decisions on behalf of the minor this is where the DA must decide what laws apply as the minor is now an adult speaking for herself

Regarding the 'restoration' of Driscol I would like to comment on two things. First, I am not too sure that Morris is not trying to live vicariously through this incident with Driscol and preparing the ground for his own hoped restoration. Knowing what we know should he be the one to restore? Is his going to try and shame the church to restore him? Scripture is clear, the flesh cannot produce spiritual fruit. The reality is, whether he likes it or not, people will doubt the truth of his word. He lived a lie before them. Those in leadership do not deal with their sin in private, they bring it before their local body. The local body alone decide who a worthy leader is within the teachings of the Apostle Paul. The church should have removed him immediately and completely. They were entitled to know what was the temptation, who know about the sin and what repentance and change in character took place. It should not just be a change in practice. Christ is pure. They should be restored to purity. This mean the body itself needs to know, internally, what the nature is purity is. The first thing the leadership should have done is comprehensively relayed the foundation and restated what maturity in Christ looks like. I realize they do not, however this is what should have been done. This is why the church is no longer fit for purpose.

To hear Robert Morris share his own experience of moral failure, he kinda sounds like he did an honorable thing by helping someone else to be restored. Wrong is wrong for his actions and by lying, he seceded at becoming a prosperity millionaire. Restoration IS NOT to return back where other young children spend time learning.

I believe Mark did the right thing just like me I thought Robert Morris was a stellar pastor until this Revelation, Mark is not perfect but he has done what was expected of him.

The point is that certain people do not have the authority to restore anyone else because they are not qualified to be pastors or spiritual leaders in any capacity.

I agree totally. I saw it in a spiritually abusive church I attended. The pastor could not admit he was an alcoholic even those he was arrested twice for it & had his license taken away & did some jail time in whatever program they offer. He said he was set up & the devil was out to get him. Ok.
Regarding the 'restoration' of Driscol I would like to comment on two things. First, I am not too sure that Morris is not trying to live vicariously through this incident with Driscol and preparing the ground for his own hoped restoration. Knowing what we know should he be the one to restore? Is his going to try and shame the church to restore him? Scripture is clear, the flesh cannot produce spiritual fruit. The reality is, whether he likes it or not, people will doubt the truth of his word. He lived a lie before them. Those in leadership do not deal with their sin in private, they bring it before their local body. The local body alone decide who a worthy leader is within the teachings of the Apostle Paul. The church should have removed him immediately and completely. They were entitled to know what was the temptation, who know about the sin and what repentance and change in character took place. It should not just be a change in practice. Christ is pure. They should be restored to purity. This mean the body itself needs to know, internally, what the nature is purity is. The first thing the leadership should have done is comprehensively relayed the foundation and restated what maturity in Christ looks like. I realize they do not, however this is what should have been done. This is why the church is no longer fit for purpose.

True, but what about the victim speaking out against covered up such instances? Does forgiveness mean white washing what happened to a 12 yr old ? Literally, until now, what true penalty has he paid ? Does someone with such even in their forgiven past, truly deserve to be a President spiritual advisor and a Mega church pastor? No one is saying stone him or even denying that he is a gifted teacher. Whats at stake is the face , credibility, and truthfulness of the body of Christ in America and the world. We only need up standing, moral, spiritual leaders at the forefront. Do you honestly believe that victims and their beloved supporters who are Christians would sincerely back his ministry now knowing everything? That's likely not going to happen but you never know in this country where people blindly like cult members stands with Trump regardless of any crimes that he committed. In Morris case sadly once it was broken, it couldn't be fixed. It's just a price you pay when considering just how young the victim was. The message must be, protecting the young,the innocent, the integrity of the church, the ministry, at all cost. My heart goes out to him, his family, and his former church, but mostly to what happened when the victim was so young.
In Robert's own book he says he worked for 30 days as a security guard and then James Robison brought him into his ministry. As a minister. He wasn't out of ministry for 2 years as he wants everyone to now believe. Many who have worked closely with Robert have left the church after they realized what a narcissist he is. That's why he was able to lie about the pedophilia for so many years and how he was able to get others to lie as well. That girl was betrayed by not only him but also her parents, Olen Griffin (the senior pastor at that church), and so many others. 35 years ago simply means that Robert and everyone lese has had that long to come clean. Spiritual healing and restoration should never replace legal consequences when the sin is also a crime.
How did he repent, by calling his victim a young lady when infact she was a mere child? Why lie? Why not say that it was a 12 year old child whom he had molested for 4 years?

Dear Dear Dear Driscoll, I do believe that God is trying to move this guy to real repentance. To aid this he needs to see this 'Jezebel spirit' he spoke of was, or rather is, Morris himself and the NAR. Jezebel was all about control, do as I say, not as I do. Ahab had to obey the law, he could not buy Naboth's vineyard. She (Jezebel), as servant of Baal, one who reigns by power and might, said you are the king you can take it. Anyone who uses authority in this way, rather than lead by example of character, are always Jezebel. The will always be above the congregation and have their issues dealt with in private; just like she did when she got Naboth ended behind the scenes. Driscoll need to come out. But the church board hasn't done that. They covered it up. Morris didn't confess, he was turned in. His victim spoke up several times but nobody took meaningful action. He assaulted a child. He should never lead a church again. He's unsafe around kids.
