I believe cross-console saves are separate from Smart Delivery, rather than a hidden feature. Smart Delivery just gives you the right assets and upgrades for your more powerful console.
I've had up to five Xbox One consoles at one time, played Xbox One games on my PC, and streamed Series X games. Right now, I have an Xbox in almost every room and the Series X SHOULD arrive on Monday. No matter what you play or where you play, your save data is just there--and it's free. It's the reason I bought so many of the same console! I've been telling people this for years (and I only buy digital) but not enough people know about this.
I’m looking at Diablo II resurrected on the Xbox one store and it says x/s optimized and smart delivery how am I able to make it set for Xbox one not the Xbox series x or s
I know it is out of the topic , I have an xbox one s , And I want to upgrade into XSX , I have RDR2 and I want to play it on the new console , Can I just transfere it into the XsX and get benefit from the new features such as 4k and upgraded texures , keep in mind that the game is 100+ gb and the internet service sucks in our country
So with smart delivery you’re supposed to be able to get the best version of the game for the console you’re on. However that is game/developer dependent. If nothing else you’ll see a slight upgrade either way. But yes you could simply do a network transfer or re download the game and it should work on your new console
I think you can go back into the manage game and download the non series x version as well and just play that one from external. And then delete the other one?
@@ThreeFirstNames I ll try it but from my chat with Microsoft it seems that the game will always try to go to Series edition. Thanks for the tip. I will let u know in 2 days as i need to redownload

I think this is a smart feature. I do plan on buying a Xbox Series X and giving my son the old Xbox 1. Thanks for the information
Glad you found it helpful. Let me know how it goes when you do get the XSX.
How do you stop this?, Series S gamers are getting last versions of games

Yeah it’s a pretty cool feature.

I bought some DLC for xbox 1 by accident and I have the series S. the DLC isn't working... any tips?
Sony should also do something like this
They do .it's just 10 pound more for each game if you want it lol

Can you disable it? I want to play some games from my SSD. So i don't want the optimised version!
Optimized versions can’t be played on an external hd so you should be ok. Just make sure to decline the option to upgrade.
@@ThreeFirstNames It doesn't allow me to decline 😭 smart delivery cannot be disabled. That's so stupid from Microsoft

Yeah interested to hear what you find
Can you gameshare with someone who’s already gamesharing
Yes. They just can’t gameshare to another person at the same time.
Thanks heaps for the info legend 👍
My pleasure.
