They never talked about "the catch" which is you are forced whether you like it or not, to install the optimumized versions of the game either into the internal drive or the expansion card. And the space is extremely limited.
Does it work for physical games or is it just digital? If it works for physical games, do you need to have the Xbox One disk in the Series X console to play it? Are the saves cross-compatible? Is it just a patch or a full game download? A lot of questions still unanswered.
@@mitchellp4126 no the saves from your game are not related to the format of your games. Your games can be physical or digital, all saves are stocked on the cloud.
This should be a standard feature for next generation. The fact that this is not looking like a standard feature for all Xbox games and not even looking like something Sony might be even doing with PS5 is simply ridiculous! At least we know for sure some games will use it and all first party titles will use it as well.
Madden 21 does not support Smart Delivery. EA is one of the few companies not to support the Xbox Smart Delivery system it does have a very limited offer to upgrade to series x which is a poor comparison to xbox's system.
@Sergio Meza You really think Microsoft is gonna sink? It's Microsoft dude they have billions of dollars to invest into new ideas and technologies. They could be the pioneers for great things to come in the future of gaming.
@Sergio Meza Hold up I might have read your comment wrong. The first part said you're not sure if they're desperate but the second part you said they are throwing everything in the sea before the ship sinks. So are they desperate or not in your personal point of view?
@Sergio Meza I'm happy with my Xbox services. Game pass is pretty cool and gives me and my friends opportunities to play new fun games together. Backwards compatibility is cool to because i get to play the original Splinter Cell games in 4k among other games. I'm sure Microsoft knows they aren't number one in gaming but they do want their current fans to be happy and try to bring in new people to the Xbox family of systems. PlayStation and Xbox will always co exist and give people choice on where they wanna play. Hopefully with cross play in future titles it won't matter what you have. If PlayStation and Xbox had the same relationship that Xbox and Nintendo have that would be pretty cool.
Question. Will xbox series x games be playable on xbox one x? Are they goinag to be marketed as "xbox" games in general? Or do I need to buy xbox series x in order to play next gen games like Halo, etc.?
Well, apparently (unfortunately), it’s easy for publishers to game the system because Day 0 and that’s exactly what EA is doing with Madden, ALREADY. If you don’t buy Madden on XBone before January, and then get an XSX and acquire the upgrade before end of March, you will NOT have Madden on XSX. You will have to buy it full price. Classy move in the middle of an economic depression.
Does ps5 has smart delivery or they will make you buy the same game twice? I am not thinking at nintendo, they ported everything on the switch and probably will just 4k 60$ sell on the switch 2.
Phil Spencer said the new Xboxes 100% backward compatible so what's the point of smart delivery if I can just log on the new Xbox with my same Xbox account name all my purchases from this generation should automatically be able to be download it to the new Xbox
Adam Quin If you pop in an Xbox 1 disk into a Xbox series than it’ll just be backwards compatible. Presumably the series will have 2k textures for all the assets. These wouldn’t be stored on the disk unless the Xbox one could already use the assets. Thus it would need a hefty asset and texture download to get it up to Xbox series standards... or they could just give you a code for the digital Xbox series game. I would imagine it’s the former option since that would be easier.
Xbox enhanced is essentially boost mode, make games look/ play better without patching. Smart delivery is buying an xbox one game and getting that same game for series x for free.
After some thinking I actually don't get the appeal for Smart Delivery at all. So I can buy it on one platform and have it on the other? But then why would I play it twice and not always the Xbox Series X version? And I would need BOTH consoles too. Makes no sense at all.
You would buy the game earlier in the year before the series X comes out. Then when the series X comes out, all your games that are part of smart delivery will be part of your series X library and you won't need to repurchase them
You do realise that you install from disc on to your console, and then you download updates from microgreed. You are never given a full complete game, so it will just be download content.
If it only upgrades the current disc I have to digital it won’t help me any cause I don’t like digital so unless they give me a disc for a disc then I’d be more thrilled.
They never talked about "the catch" which is you are forced whether you like it or not, to install the optimumized versions of the game either into the internal drive or the expansion card. And the space is extremely limited.

I’m pretty sure this was self explanatory.

If it does carry over to PC that would be a huge reason for me to buy one over PS5.
Aaron Lunzmann certain xbox games already do this, such as forza. It’s called play anywhere.
That is definitely cool but I am thinking more along the lines of all games. Prob never happen but I would certainly be sold!
