My two favorite sports cars are the Triumph TR3 and the 1955 Sunbeam Alpine mk1 and if you haven’t heard of it it’s in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1955 film To Catch A Thief and it’s the blue sports car Grace Kelly drives in the movie.
Hi Doug another British beauty when I was a lad I worked at my brothers crash repair shop and was lucky enough to get to move one of these around the yard and shop. It was what got me interested in these little sport cars in the first place. Latter when I was looking for one they were a bit too much for my budget so I went with the cheaper MGA at half the price here in Australia. Your a real lucky bloke getting to drive all these beautiful cars around. It's funny when you went to turn left and I saw that truck on the left I almost had a heart attack then I remembered you drive on the right over there lol.😂🤣😂
Tabona, These were sourced truck transmissions and the first gear was so low it was blociked out of the shift pattern. So really, 1st gear is actually second.
@@classicperformance that is very interesting, thank you so much for your response. I really enjoyed this video, I'm hoping to get myself an Austin Healy for my birthday next year April. So doing a lot of research

The gears were placed backwards by Austin to confuse Americans.
