I owned a 59-6...just like this one!...It brings tears to my eyes, just witnessing how cool that car is!...I was 20 years old, and really did not appreciate the car as I should have. That mellow/aggressive exhaust note is the best!
To this day the Sealy sound has not been surpassed especially not buy anything made in its day TR shitt tried but was never the same thing all that could offer is a lousy sports car experience😊 and then ugly looking car
Very nice! Bout' time someone who owns a Healey knows how to drive it. Thanks for keeping the RPMs up and not shifting before 3000rpm and for exploring the full potential of this inline six!
Yeah seems to be a running show year of twits who don't know how to drive where did you get your driving experience at the swap meet in the parking lot!
@@charlieroberts993 Whatever that line was...that car was so beautiful, 2nd only to the eventual introduction of the Jag XKE. I really liked the "retro" styling of these Healeys...The XKE was very futuristic; the Healey paid homage to the more 1950s styling that the original Healeys had introduced, back around 1954 or so. I am still learning about the Healey marque. The 1956 100M was a 4 cylinder, but quite high-perfomance!..From what I can gather, those rare cars are the most expensive of all the Healeys! But I do prefer the magnificent sound of the Sixes that came later...I once saw an old poster touting the Austin-Healey, as being "The Last Angry Sports Car". And that is a great way to put it! That growled, under throttle, as you can here from this scintillating video. Modern sports cars are so relatively "refined", that the basic thrill of driving an older British sports car makes them seem dull by comparison.
A 1964 was my first Austin-Healey roll up Windows wooden dash, and now watch you drive it get punk that doesn't know how to drive and it's trying to steal the car that's how it feels ‼️😬 1971 was the year here we are you don't know how to drive, don't know how to shift do not know how to take a corner! I hope you don't get to buy another sports car until you learn and approving to have done so by a professional race driver!
So sorry to have offended you, if it makes you feel any better, the person driving the car in this video no longer works with us. We trust you'll find our current driver to be much more proficient.

Just fantastic what a sound the Healey makes

That beautiful sound of a British 6 cylinder! Music to the ears, something that no contemporary car can give you.
Yes!...back in 1969, when I owned a 59 100-6, I did not realize that my six was only 2600cc!...Duh...then the 3000 models showed up!

Agree entirely...this chap is driving it just how it was designed to be driven...plenty of revs!!

Memories.
My dad had a 59’ 3000 that I learned to drive in!! Such memories! That 3rd gear was long and tall!😉
POV: Your Curt Smith in the Everybody Wants To Rule The World music video:
i love the blinker switch.
My first car was a 59 100-6
Nice !
This was great. How did you keep the wind noise down and here the exhaust so good?
It brings tears to my eyes watching this guy drive it ‼️‼️‼️👎
what is the line on the middle of the hood?
My 58 Healey has the same line on the hood.
@@JollyMcStanson This line can only be seen only on the 100/6
I believe it is the vent scoop, not too sure, but I believe it is
