I played the tour response today and off the driver it is a bomb! Easy 10 yards longer then Bridgestone tour bx. The long and mid irons fly far too but didn’t stop as fast on the greens. Full wedges stopped nice and chips around the didn’t stop as quick as I am used to. Still a great ball. I will try it against the tp5x next to see which one stays in the bag this year.
I like watching your reviews because we have a similar swing speed. Really helps relate the product to my game. Many of these other reviewers have crazy high swing speeds.
After looking at a few different reviews on these balls, the consensus seems to be they are distance-wise a wash with the driver (As compared to the premium tier balls), but significantly longer off the irons. Still excellent spin on the short shots, but a notch below the premiums. For a mid-speed player like myself these seem to be a perfect fit. For slower speed golfers and big slicers you probably want something with an Ionomer cover to lower the spin rates on the long shots. Big hitters probably still want the premium balls for their better short-game performance.
I don't see a big improvement with yardage on the Tour Response, but I do find more fairways with the lower spin and they hold greens to where I got my first eagle after hitting one over the flag and spinning it back.
Great review! Glad to see some numbers of the Tour Response compared to the others. I think the Tour Response is a really phenomenal ball. I would love to see all the big names have an offering in this category: 3-piece, urethane cover for under $35. If this ball is a hit we may finally see an affordable urethane ball from Titleist! Nah...we won't.
Great video..i have been using tp5x..really enjoy the length off the drive..but most of all they putt straight..want to try the tour response..just to see the difference..cost vs feel?
To me it looks like the Tour Response beat the other two, except on Driving. But if you swing up a bit more with the Driver ,the Tour Response could match them.

Tried the 5X Pix today helped with putt alignment very well. Had a great round +4, I'm a 10 handicapper!
I found a Tour Response in the rough and hit very well and it is long as well. It now is in the rough as I lost it after a few rounds.

Would swing speed come into play in choosing one? For someone with an avg speed of 90mph with driver, which ball do you think they should use?

Get in on the buy 3 get one free deal from Titleist early in the season and you essentially get a good price. Thats another way to go about it.

I don't think you'll be disappointed
Which would you say works better in the winter months?
So this is weird, not only am I using the i500's but I also have an F9 in the bag. What else is in your bag?
Bridgestone BX?
Thanks for the review on the new tour response ball. I was very curious as to how it performed and felt.
same test, Chrome soft, pro v1, TP5, Z Star and Brigdestone Tour BX.
Good timing on this review. I have been wondering about the Tour Response balls. I am going to pick some up today to try.

Went from Callaway Chrome Soft to Tour Response for me the Tour Response performed better...hooked on this ball now.
How did you find it to be better?
Joseph Dubiel found it about 5 yards longer with same performance around the greens as the Chrome Soft at about $10 cheaper per dozen
Love the TP5 especially the Pix
They are growing on me.
your view on the taylormade soft response ???
Thanks Ali great test
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
Great reviews...Tour response a replacement for the Project A?
yes but incorporate one of the same mantle layers from the tp5/tp5x
I used the Project A until I literally broke one in half. Never have I done that to any ball. Tour Response for now.
That is a low launch angle with the driver and short carry.
I know this is only a timing thing but those PGX commercials are annoying. 🤦
Played the Tour Response for a year now and like it.
Great golf ball!!
