    My favorite part is at the end, when Tim hits the lowest note, and Avi pulls off his trademark beanie and claps a cowboy hat on his head, in tribute to Tim and all of Home Free. There's a lot of love and mutual respect going on here.

      agreed, when Avi put on that hat is just my fave little detail.

    Great reaction! Two more you might enjoy - "Pentatonix & Dolly Parton Jolene" (PTX & Dolly won a Grammy for this, and Avi's bass line is amazing), and "Avi Kaplan and Peter Hollens Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair". Love to see your reaction to either.

    I love Avi's solo stuff, it's kind of a folkey sort of western feel, and of course I always love him hanging with the guys. The one that was about to pop on is called Champagne taste on a beer budget which is kind of a lead in ( to me) to his Full of Cheer Christmas song. You should do both back to back cause it'd be hilarious. I think they're both short enough :)

    Home Free is just the gift that keeps on giving. They led me to your channel and just like I'm grateful for them...I'm super grateful I found you, too! I love, love, love your reactions, your positivity, and your beautiful personality. And your love of horror! I don't find many girls who love the horror genre as much as I do.

    Background to the song. It's about a 60 year old burnt out drunk Sheriff who has an affair with a 16 year old girl from a broken home and life.
    It's not an upbeat ditty by any means.

  • @Gizmologist1

    THe last super bass low note is NOT Avi, it is Tim Faust. His range is wider than Avi and he taught Avi to hit those really low notes. That is why you see Avi don a cowboy hat at the end. It was a tribute to Tim's low note.

  • @garywinters4636
    @garywinters4636 4 года назад

    That last note was actually Tim. Also rumor has it that Tim coached Avi with his low notes. Go figure? They are both fricking amazing.

    The Sing Off version will always be my fav., but this is incredible, too..Tim's arrangement shines, he gave Avi the longest middle part w/some low notes, then Tim ended it w/his insane low, long held F#1 in the Sing Off, G#1 in this vid!! Keep shining!

    There are some great recommendations throughout the comments I've read, but honestly - since you now have some good headphones - I would go back a "re-listen" to all those Home Free songs you /thought/ you were reacting to! Also, in keeping with the acapella theme, you really should take a listen to Voctave. I won't even recommend a particular song; just head over to their channel and pick one that stands out to you!
