Donovan is always cool to have a response from to. He looked so surprised, but you scratching your knees before the end where it goes low to wait for him to respond was the best part. That was pure comedy! 🤣😉💗
These guys and Pentatonix love listening to them cuz it's all voices there are a lot of Pentatonix songs you just cannot go wrong with. But both are really, really good.
You have started down the rabbit hole of home free and you will enjoy every song imo they are crazy talented . I have not heard a cover or original that i have not liked . I am a huge country and old school music fan so its hard to impress me
to start with i love watching your reactions, you always come thru with a real true reaction, and then you get so excited you have to bring in your hubby, thats good stuff
With the Christmas season Home Free's Christmas music should not be missed. Pentatonix too, "Mary Did You Know" is stunningly beautiful, for example. And Home Free, Auld Lang Syne for the new year. I pulled it up on the Roku last new year and folks in our group, who didn't know Home Free, were astonished. We then spent almost an hour watching Home Free videos, and imbibing a bit, to welcome the new year.
seven bridges road or take me home country roads , helplessly hoping , in the blood are few more by home free , I love your reactions so real and genuine .
When Avi left Pentatonix he took part of the soul of the group with him. Avi has a 4 octave range and one of the smoothest deep basses you will ever hear. Tim Foust of HF has a 5 octave range and he demonstrates his lowest note at the end. If you listen to the Sing Off performance of it you will really hear the 1st time he unleashed that note and the reaction from the judges is amazing. I love your reaction. Your eyes are so expressive and it was truly fun to watch you.
I've been waiting for you to do some more Home Free reactions. They are really something. I'm so glad you enjoyed them. Avi (Avee) does a cameo in another one of their videos, because the A Capella community is relatively small and they all support each other. It's pretty cool. Home Free has an extensive catalog of music videos. Serious ones, comical ones, but always their singing is spot on, and they always look like they are having a blast. Welcome to Home Free, we fans are called Home Fries. Come on along down the Home Free rabbit hole.
Both Tim & Avi are amazing Bass singers! The beat boxer Adam Rupp likes to add s Ragae beat in several HF songs! Keep reacting to HF! They’ll never let you down!! Nice Reaction!!
HF and PTX both rely on extraordinary beatboxers and talented basses with incredible ranges to unleash fantastic lead voices. Both groups put teamwork first and can blend like few others.
Loved your reaction as you were watching and the enjoyment you got from showing it to your hubby. That the feeling we get when watching you react to our favorites
I don't know if Gitana understands how good her energetic, earnest reactions are compared to most, not that there aren't other good reactors out there. People enjoy seeing others introduced to new music, while being introduced to new music themselves...something of an online phenomenon which Gitana does exceptionally. Bringing her husband in on this one was a great move as well.
Home Frees song. "Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On" is probably their biggest commercial success and since you enjoy them I would call it a must react song. It's a mashup of those two songs Thinking Out Loud and Let's Get It On. Pay very close attention to the very beginning and listen to the musical instrument one of them is making with his mouth. I am willing to bet this song will instantly become your Home Free favorite....love your reactions, tons of your reactions in my likes folder so I can laugh over and over again!
You might enjoy seeing how Home Free created their cover of Ring of Fire during The Sing Off competition, which includes their rendition (absent Avi) and the reaction of the judges. In fact you might eventually enjoy reacting to all of Home Free's competition performances (Home Free with The Filharmonics especially).
Home Free and the Filharmonics 'battle' on the Sing Off is one of the most amazing competitions between two acapella groups saved to video. Both groups are fantastically strong and the collaboration between the two is mind boggling. A beat boxing battle as well?!?! Oh Yeah....
HAHA!!!!! You're officially a "Home Fry" now! These guys are crazy good. I always have remind myself that there is not a single musical instrument being played out side of their talented vocal instrument. Great reaction!
Gitana, You entered the Home Free zone and I can assure you that you will love them. Home Free fans are called “Home Fries”. They have produced several cover songs that I know you will greatly enjoy. They have also produced albums of their own songs.
Avi Kaplan has a solo career now. I would really love to see you react to his " change on the rise" .....his voice has has a lovely velvet quality and power that is undeniable. Would be good for your soul.
A song I used to be ambivalent about was Kenny Rogers, Children go where I send thee. Then he and Home Free did it together. One great song to my ears now. Always did like Kenny.
Love Avi's bass beat. Props to whoever came up with the idea of having Avi put the hat on, at the end. Like he's saying he's a member of Home Free for a day.
Fabulous reaction! So glad you did another Home Free (and hopefully many, many more)! This was the first one of theirs I heard and have been a Deep Fried Home Fry ever since. Suggestions are endless; everything they do is marvelous. For beautiful, haunting harmonies "How Great Thou Art", "Auld Lang Syne", and "Go Rest High On That Mountain", "I Can't Outrun You", certainly jump to mind. "Do You Hear What I Hear" is my favorite for showcasing their harmonic and rhythmic talents (arranged by Adam Rupp, their cofounder and beatboxer). Their recent things are done from home ("Down To The Honky Tonk", "Meet Me In The Middle", and a few more) are just as amazing (if not moreso since they are done remotely). Peace and blessings to you both!
I have watched you and Donovan react to this, all the way through at least 5 times. I love the light of discovery in both your eyes as Home Free sang this song, with Avi Kaplan. It is wonderful. I echo your senitments, "They are awsome". I think the word amazing has been used so much it is meaningless. They are awsome. Great video I will go watch it again now.....lol.
I love Home Free, you and your husband are so cute together also . It’s good for him to react to some of these songs with you , that way he gets to hear why your reactions are so awesome. Great job the pair of you did it together. Loved it !!!!
Let me say that this is my favorite reaction of yours that I've seen so far. Like you I am a big fan of Johnny Cash and was very apprehensive about hearing someone do a cover of his song. That being said I also Love Home free as well as the Pentatonix . Knowing what I know of them I figured that they would not let me down with this cover, and they didn't. Not only was it a cover of Johnny Cash I feel that it was a tribute to him. I'm sure that both Johnny as well as June would approve. Love your channel and thanks for sharing. Oh by the way you both need to do more reactions together. That was so great!!!
Yeah, i like Home Free too ...my playlist is over 600 songs now, opera, classical, rap, hip hop, trap, some country, and serious metal. i just LOVE good music. Thank you for sharing this.
I know "right" Tim and Avi are amazing, 3 Octaves+ from Bass to Baritone to Tenor. Simply awesome. And I love watching your reactions to all these great songs you're reacting to. Keep it up, love your channel.
Glad you and Donovan loved it so much!! It really is a great cover. And they do a slightly different version for their performance on the sing off (obviously because Avi (pronounced Ah-vee) wasn't on it with them). Some of my favourite Home Free music videos are 'Summer in the Country' - an original, but not written by any of the guys, 'Some Girls Do' - cover of Sawyer Brown song, 'Woman Amen/Female' - mashup cover of Dierks Bently & Keith Urban songs, 'Friends in Low Places' - cover of Garth Brooks song & 'Meet in the Middle' - cover of Diamond Rio song. Since quarantine started the guys have put out a Quarantine Editions music video every other friday, with a Home Away from Home series video on the fridays in between. Definitely should check out all of that stuff, all the best!
if you ever get a chance to see Home Free live, do it, you definitely won't be disappointed, Tim's bass notes can shake the whole place, and they are super casual and interactive with the audience. So much talent and a ton of fun.
So glad ya loved it Tim at the end to hold that low note at wnd end for 13 secs Avi did mesh well with them His solo work is amazing as well now he isnt with pentatonix anymore
I loved watching your reaction... because I knew what was coming (giggle). I called them the winner after the very first night of NBCs "The Sing Off" simply for the very reason you reacted the way you did. They are brilliantly amazing. And they aren't 'new' by any stretch. They spent many, many years on the county fair circuit perfecting this craft.
I love Johnny Cash and their cover was absolutely superb. You will love everything they do. Their vocals are like nothing I've ever heard. I have tickets to a live show coming in August. It was postponed in April due to Covid19. The guy you thought was from Pentatonix is actually one of the Home Free originals. I think the one with the knit cap and beard was the one you were thinking of.
HF originally did this song on "the sing off". They explain how what they did with the song if you watch it. Love HF! Probably my all time go to when I listen to music!
Good morning from the USA! Today is the first time I've watched your reactions and after the first one I've been sucked in for over an hour! (I'm not getting housework done!) I admit I started watching the country reactions but then you hit Bad Wolves Zombie (love them so much!!) and Beaches (😭) and then this vid! Nice range! I would highly HIGHLY recommend reacting to some of Avi Kaplan's music that he has released since leaving Pentatonix, especially Change on the Rise. Now on the country note... more Chris Stapleton performing live anything, Josh Turner Your Man and Long Black Train, and I'm gonna push the edge with my man, the rebel, Eric Church. His lovin song, Wrecking Ball (nothing like Miley's) and his current release that is calling out the pop country artists, Put that in your Country Song, also easy family favorite Springsteen. I know I have written a lot but your enthusiasm is contagious!
Home Free. Voice Play. Pentatonix. You honestly cannot miss any of these groups. Avi (the guest Bass in the group) is originally from Pentatonix. He went off to do solo work after years with the group. The other bass is Tim Foust. His voice is equally amazing.
The phrase, "did the earth move for you?", is often such an over used sentiment... but with Tim hitting that low note at the end, his seismically low bass "fiiiirrreeeeee" at the end, really does make the earth move while listening to it. You really need to hear that in 5.1 surround sound with a 200W+ subwoofer... the walls shake. That arrangement and harmonies are unreal.
Gitana, Home Free "Man of Constant Sorrow" You will not regret it. I love how Avi Chapman trades his Hip Hop hat for a Cowboy hat at the end. Just shows what a class act he is and adds a bit of humor to everything.
ANYTHING from Home Free will not disappoint! They are my FAVORITE acapella group! So talented and their videos are so cinematic! Kind of over pentatonix personally, they're talented, but pop is already in acapella SOOO much, this country twist on it is so refreshing in my opinion! Love your reactions!❤👍 More Home Free please!
If you're a fan of Avi Kaplan's voice, you have just got to listen to Change on the Rise. It is superb! (As are all of Pentatonix's stuff; particularly Sound of Silence and Mary Did You know) Always brilliant to see another person becoming a Home Free fan :) Keep it coming :)
Both Tim and Avi have been known to blow out speakers at live performances. If you really want to hear Tim's low notes, you should check out "Misty Mountain" by Peter Hollens and Tim Faust.
Tim taught Avi the subharmonic tones it is said. Dont know if true. Elvira is a great cover featuring the original artists the Oak Ridge Boys. You should also check out the butts remix. I mean the name itself should intrigue you lol.
Glad you enjoyed Home Free They are incredible & Crazy talented. My personal favorite of theirs is "Man of Constant Sorrow" , followed closely by "Seven Bridges Road". "How Great Thou Art" will bring tears to your eyes, "Auld Lang Syne" is the best pure vocal performance (That I've seen). Loved your reaction, laughed out loud when you told the hubby "Just Carry ON". keep up the good work.
They do "go rest high on that mountain" some serious justice. Im Darn near 30 and it hit home on several levels (I needed tissues), with loss of family and couple of brothers i served with. It is a sad song and you will tear up so have a box of tissues if you react to it. I really suggest it.
Now, you're into this Acapella world, I suggest you react to Voiceplay (Oogie Boogie song), Acapop! Kids (group created by Pentatonix) (High Hopes) and Citizen Queen (Group created by Pentatonix too) (Bad Guy). Love your reactions!!!! Greetings from Ecuador 🇪🇨
What a sweetie your hubs is! Loved both of you reacting together. Perhaps you should think about doing more together. Great reaction hon... I think you will love going down the rabbit hole.
I don't know if would ever happen, but I would to see Home Free and Pentatonix join forces and sing one big song together, that would be Epic and incredible.
Loved it! So glad you got to hear this song. An idea some creators do that you might consider is Home Free Fridays, but either way, you have BARELY scratched the surface of Home Free. Please keep going! 💕💕💓💓 Also, please do more with lucky! I would love to see more of his reactions as well 🤣 😂 😄
Home Free is awesome! The first really deep base you heard is Avi Kaplan (formerly Pentatonix) and the last deep base at the end is Tim Faust the base for Home Free! Both amazing talents!
The way your eyes sparkled when you first realized you were going to like it was awesome. Then to bring in the other half was absolutely adorable!! Love your channel! I am a total pentaholic, and think you will enjoy just about everything they do. There is also a spin-off group with 2 of the members called superfruit that you may enjoy also, look them up!!!
Tim has the most awesome range he can hit just about any nots that any member of the group can
Tim is the base
Donovan is always cool to have a response from to. He looked so surprised, but you scratching your knees before the end where it goes low to wait for him to respond was the best part. That was pure comedy! 🤣😉💗
These guys and Pentatonix love listening to them cuz it's all voices there are a lot of Pentatonix songs you just cannot go wrong with.
But both are really, really good.
Both Tim and Avi are magnificent bass' and the others make this song marvelous and ah-mazing!!
I have heard just about every Home Free song... None have disappointed!!! Your reaction was perfect!!!
both Tim and Avi can shake an entire venue with their BASS! if you can ever see them live its a must.
I love the mix of 2 bass voices
You have started down the rabbit hole of home free and you will enjoy every song imo they are crazy talented .
I have not heard a cover or original that i have not liked . I am a huge country and old school music fan so its hard to impress me
this is one of my favs with AVI
to start with i love watching your reactions, you always come thru with a real true reaction, and then you get so excited you have to bring in your hubby, thats good stuff
I’ve heard this multiple times and it still gives me the chills.
They have a next-level christmas song "Do you hear what I hear". Yeah...it's summer right now, but OMG...😁😁😁😁
With the Christmas season Home Free's Christmas music should not be missed. Pentatonix too, "Mary Did You Know" is stunningly beautiful, for example. And Home Free, Auld Lang Syne for the new year. Do you hear what I hear, is a all year
around fantastic song :)
Helle Jørgensen ok let’s save that for the Christmas run up!! I’ll start making a Christmas song list ! 💓
@@GitanaAdelle yeah you will be amazed . It was arranged by the Beatboxer Adam Rupp
We could use seeing that background tho...brrrr 🤷😁
The tall guy with the hat is Avi Kaplan, formerly of Penatonix. He is now doing his own music, you should check it out.
seven bridges road or take me home country roads , helplessly hoping , in the blood are few more by home free , I love your reactions so real and genuine .
Love your excitement about the brilliance of this cover!! Home Free killin it as always!🤘♥️

Have seen them twicw in concert. Unbelievably good.
That was fast between the first and second Home Free reaction :D That last low note is insane! I'm never ready for it

One of my favorites!
The low notes were unbelievable and the vocals were spot on. Johnny would have been proud of this version.
You MUST listen to How Great Thou Art!!!! And Auld Lang Syne
Ahhhh Auld Lang Syne is aaaaamazing!!!!!
Their rendition of How Great Thou Art should become a classic and, yes, they even make a simple tune like Auld Lang Syne sound spectacular.
yes what Laurence said lol those 2 songs are great (all the songs are) lol

Loved your reaction and really liked your interaction with your man. Thanks!
They do an amazing cover of Take Me Home Country Roads by John Denver.
Yes!!! They cover it beautifully!!! Definitely recommend!!
Yes, great cover, even for Home Free and they are always terrific.

I love your enthusiasm. Your excitement in the music is contagious
I think SENSATIONAL is the word that describes it best and covers the Song , Vocals , duo basses and duo reactions. Smashing the thumbs up.
Great reactions! I never tire of watching and listening to these acapella groups. Keep watching them and I’ll keep watching you!
This is why I watch these reaction videos for this song. To see how they react to Tim's last note.

One of the best old Johnny Cash songs
You two are so adorable. We need more Donovan!
Always love this version especially with the master and apprentice in Tim and Avi
“Thinking Out Loud “ cover, is really Awesome!!! Austin is the lead & is so so..Good !!!!!

I love reactions like yours, that recognize that you benefit very much as the reactor with this “relationship “ reactor and viewers
Double reaction to one of my absolute favorites! Love that you immediately had to share it!
Have fun with Home Free! So much material in such a short time.
You neeeeeeeed to hear voiceplay!!!!! They have an amazing group sound and also a brilliant bass!!!
Its always the highest compliment to play something twice in one reaction. Love the channel. You're the best. Keep it up.
Avi hits low note
"Is that natural?"
😂😂😂
Brilliant reaction. Glad you weren't disappointed. Welcome to the Home Free fan club. Aren't they great?
I wish i could like this reaction more than once! I love how nervous you were then completely relieved once you realized it was awesome!
love when you both do reactions as well as your solo ones it cheers me up every time loved your little boogie during this
Now, you're into this Acapella world, I suggest you react to Voiceplay (Oogie Boogie song), Acapop! Kids (group created by Pentatonix) (High Hopes) and Citizen Queen (Group created by Pentatonix too) (Bad Guy).
Love your reactions!!!!
Greetings from Ecuador 🇪🇨
I love that I get to see you both. Ya'll are fun together.
Also, please do more with lucky! I would love to see more of his reactions as well 🤣 😂 😄
The I you so much !! I will bring him in on some more ! Lucky is grinning now because he has a fan 😉😊 he’s a dish isn’t he ! 💓💓💓
Home Free is awesome! The first really deep base you heard is Avi Kaplan (formerly Pentatonix) and the last deep base at the end is Tim Faust the base for Home Free! Both amazing talents!
I've seen that video over 50 times never gets old
The way your eyes sparkled when you first realized you were going to like it was awesome. Then to bring in the other half was absolutely adorable!! Love your channel! I am a total pentaholic, and think you will enjoy just about everything they do. There is also a spin-off group with 2 of the members called superfruit that you may enjoy also, look them up!!!
