      Different people metabolize vitamin D differently.
      Some have no issues taking it later in the day.
      I took mine around 5pm yesterday, and I slept fine.
      The advice in this video could apply to maybe 50% of people, but for many people, it does not make a difference.

    Dr. Mandel, thank you so much for educating us on this video. I am deficiency in vitamin D and my doctor did not educate me how, when to take vitamin D so that worth of my money. I have been taking the wrong way😢. We are soooo blessed to have you. 🙏

    I didn't realize it competes with melatonin. That's actually important to know.

      I came here to comment on the exact same thing.
      I use melatonium,and take my vitamin d at nighttime.
      No more!

      I have what old people get, those fragile bone, and i have strong supplements, on prescription, due to chemo use....
      And no doctor told me this crash between vitamin d and melatonium. Cannot trust my doctors, its sad to realize...

      For me it acts like melatonin. I can’t take vitamin D because it sends me to sleep for the whole day.

      @@lovepeacehatewar9818 Maybe watch his video again to see what you get from it. But I am now taking it without liquid after a meal meal containing some fat. Usually after a breakfast with eggs, or after a snack with nuts.

      Some doctors says you should take vitamin K2 only if you take more then 1000iu of vitamin D every day..

      @Ang really! My Dr has be taking one pill a week by prescription. How does it help lactose intolerant ppl

    I am vitamin D deficient I try my best to sit in the Sun for at least 20 minutes a day and that helps only in the summertime and I'm so grateful for this information because I used to take it at night and I would also take the supplement w/o food so this info really assisted me

      I've never seen them sold together. It's only because I watch John Campbell's channel that I know they should be taken together. I'd taken vit d for years in its own before I saw his videos.
      Not once had any health professional told me to take K2 when they were telling me I should supplement with vitamin D 😱😱

      Vitamin D is absorbed through K2. Please start taking K2. Early in the morning with your meal or meals.

    I’m so glad that I came this doctor sharing so much good information because at the time I was diagnosed by my dermatologist with alopecia my vitamin D was very low and now I also no it’s not doing anything without me taking it with fat so im switching to the ones with the coconut oil also

    I was told that for every 10,000 IU of Vitamin D3 I take, I should also take 100mcg of Vitamin K2 and 400mg of Magnesium Glycinate?

      How about you focus on Magensium instead, especially if you are over 30?
      Calcium overload can cause severe problems. Its easier to overdose and harder to get out of your body.
      The older you get, the less Calcium supplements you should take. Magnesium is far mor important!

      Oh yes ! I bought the magnesium with d and zinc. For nights I could not sleep..
      I stopped and just took magnesium glycinate❤

    It's true Dr. Mandell. I mostly work at night and I always take my Vitamin D, Cod liver oil and Milk Thistle with my breakfast, I always plan to sleep for 5 hours, but I realised each time I take these supplements I only sleep for two hours. So, I stopped taking them. Dr. Mandell please advice me on what to do. Thanks

    Oh!! Thank You Dr I was for a while taking with evening meal but not now I take after lunch as my morning intake breakfast isn’t very much and lunch time have a small bowl of mixed nuts with dark chocolate grapes and peppermint tea 🫖
