This is so helpful because the VA has had me on magnesium oxide for the past 10 years and that explains the diarrhea I get off and on. I started taking magnesium glycinate because I felt as if my hormones were off balance, I am a 20 yr old guy and had a very tiny bit of gynocomastia. After a few days I noticed my gyno has shrunken and flattened a bit, but not completely get rid of. So yes magnesium does help to balance out hormones and I love it

The same is true with zinc. The vast majority of supplements I've seen contain zinc oxide which has a very low bioavailability. In the case of a multivitamin, the dose is so low that once you factor in the bioavailability, the zinc oxide isn't going to have any effect at all. Go for zinc citrate if you can.
Generally all cheap supplements are like that: "bad" B vitamins or fake vitamin C (ascorbic acid). As for Zinc, it also needs copper 15:1 in order to work, like D3 needs K2 and Mg.

I used to take that brand for years (10+) until I started doing my own research about a year ago. Now both my husband & I take Qnol Magnesium. His blood pressure dropped 50points over 3 months. He actually was able to stop 1 of his blood pressure prescriptions. Do your own due diligence. I wish I had started this journey 10 years ago. You do NOT want Magnesium Oxide, it has a Low Absorption Rate. You WANT MAGNESIUM CITRATE, or GLYCINATE or MALATE. At least 320 mg/day for females and 420 mg/day for males. STRESS and Refined Sugars can take loads of Magnesium out of your system.
