Danny has mastered Chi, but Po's output is rather insane. See in the newest cartoon, The Paws of Destiny, it's apparently established that you need more Chi than the Spirit Realm itself to travel back and forth from it. So that means Po has more Chi than LITERAL afterlife. While it's impossible to get an exact measurement of the Spirit Realms size, some people believe this puts Po's output at Universal Levels. And remember, Kai died when he absorbed Po's Chi because it was too much for him. Iron Fist would likely suffer the same fate if he tried it. They actually explain it in one of the tabs. Not to mention it's not impossible to assume Po could block with his Chi as well as attack with it (if he hasn't done so already in a cartoon), so he could probably survive all of Danny's attacks. And again, it's possible he's immortal. So yeah.
The connections between Steven and Star are that both are kind-hearted, optimistic and friendly yet short-tempered cartoon children from the 2010s created by rival animation companies (Cartoon Network and Disney, respectively). They both have passed-down weapons and extraterrestrial powers akin to magic. They are the children of royalty from another world who protect Earth and its citizens from monsters and other evil invaders alongside their friends and will protect their best friends turned love-interests (Connie Maheswaran and Marco Diaz, respectively), but after learning about the past of the monsters they fight, it becomes their new goal to unite two races (Humans/Gems for Steven and Mewmans/Monsters for Star). Additionally, both are determined to right the wrongs of their pasts and the mistakes made by their mothers (Rose Quartz and Moon Butterfly, respectively). They also have unique births as well (Steven is a hybrid between a human and a gem alien while Star is born to a barbarian king and a queen who is actually of peasant ancestry), along with inheriting their father's pastimes (Steven loves music and Star has a passion for bashing monsters).
...they also both had rather bs endings that went completely against the tone of the established characters and lore and ruined both shows in the eyes of many.

It is a bit confusing to me that they started out with a friendly sparring match and ended up fighting to the death. First of all, I'd prefer Whedon's version of Thanos over the simp we got instead. Turning him into a crazed nutball who's literally in love with death into a "misunderstood bad boy" who seeks to put everything in "perfect balance" was a stupid idea. Second, I'm so happy Po won; he is the type of hero the world needs. Too many heroes are gritty, fierce and anti-social out there but Po's still got enough child-like innocence in him to balance his behavior perfectly with serious actions. There's a video out there that actually describes all the Chinese philosophy that's mentioned in Kung Fu Panda. The biggest takeaway I got from it is how Master Oogway embodied the flowing and flexible nature of Taoism, while Shifu embodied the strict and disciplined nature of Confucianism
Lol you say that, but people think that happy and hopeful characters are boring (like Superman, who is like the most boy scout, hopeful character of all time). On the other hand, people like edgy, gritty and anti-social characters.

They really nailed Po's character, down to a really convincing voice actor except right at the ending where he offs Iron Fist and being so jovilant of it. Ah well, not that big of a deal in the first place.
