- 'Don't run you'll just die tired'. This is a Nova Galactic high speed class-b fighter interceptor. The White Dwarf 3015 engines give it a top speed of 180 (280 with Sam Coe) making it the fastest ship that can currently be built. Space combat becomes trivial with this ultimate fighter. Everyone seems to be afraid of the way the gears are positioned. The game doesn't care where you put the gear as long as you have enough landing thrust to support the ship. However it is an easy fix so here you go! imgur.com/a/vPhYodw
It's a bit strange that the game uses physics for zero-g fighting, but then decides "nah it's ok that ship can stand on 2 legs". Nothing against what you built, as it's within the limits of the game, just a comment on the game mechanics
Not afraid, it just looks freaking dumb with the front of that heavy ship just floating in the air, lol. You need front landing gear on it. There are even 2 snap points on the bottom-front hab just sitting there wide open waiting for some landing gear to be installed. Lol.
As you can see in above link; I have since updated the build by adding a third NG-20 under the chin of the cockpit. All is well in the world now ;-)@@kasper_429
It looks nice and performs well but having no front landing gear would bug me too much haha otherwise good ship.

I reconfigured my Frontier approximating this build. couldn't get the cargo with 30LY range(different reactor and grav drive), but damn is it fast and deadly.
I named it the Frontier 16XL; IFKYK 😉
I would put a Nova Galactic landing bay in the front and put some front landing gear on it, since you have 2 snap points just sitting there wide open. It looks so unnatural with it just floating, lol. There are some Nova Galactic landing gear that are the same shape as those front cargo containers that I would use, but I forgot the name of them lol. Also I would use the "wide" variant of those rear landing gear under the side engines.

Your ship is nice but it lacks a gear under the cockpit to be logical because without it your ship wouldn't be able to stand upright on the ground, it would fall forward

How did you install the docking unit at the bottom?
There is a 2x1 hab at the bottom. I just flipped the slim docker around with the Z key and slapped her on!
Damn, I didn't even think about the fact that the dock can be turned, they're all up
