Starfield - Smallest Ship Build Possible (No Glitch)

- Meet the Gremlin. A tiny Class-A ship with that is armed to the teeth! I believe this is the smallest possible ship that can be built without resorting to glitching.
The AMC Gremlin is unironically my Dream Car, and this is the perfect ship to share that name! I love it!
It's cute, I bet it gets great helium mileage also :) , I agree I don't like glitch builds either.
Every post on Reddit I make showing off a ship inevitably has at least one person trying to 'one up' me by showing off one of their glitch builds. It's frustrating and it cheapens the countless hours spent by those of us making proper ships builds.
@@LastMumzy couldn't agree more that's why I tend to stay away from reddit personally! :)
I don't understand the hate i do both none glitch and glitch. I will say i like your ship build here. I've been working on a small ship build while trying to keep the concept design for my main ship but it's quite hard to do without resulting to glitches due to bethesda's lack of ship parts placements
@@LastMumzy how are they "one-upping" you if they are glitching and you're not? Not the same method. But, no glitch absolutely limits designs, skill and inventiveness. A glitch just adds possibilities. The Bethesda way limits you to their rules. All smallest ships would look the same - not that this is the smallest ship by either method.
See, this is exactly the kind of Small ship build I was looking for; no glitches, but still fully functional. Great job! I really like the look if it as like a personal shuttle.
Mods can make it smaller
Why no glitch? If an engine has a fuel tank inside it and it looks ok it's fine, if not then all small ships will be very similar.
...small? That...that's pretty average...
If thou could point to a smaller ship perhaps?
@@LastMumzy he was making a penile joke man
She has never said that to me
@@JackDerr 😜
That’s… that’s regular sized 😢
I know I’m a little late commenting, but thank you for this build. I tried to come up with the smallest ship you could build without glitches myself, but failed spectacularly. I really appreciate this little Gremlin. Thanks for figuring this all out and showing the build. 👏
Glad I could help!
I don't know if I would want to fly around in a metal toaster 😂 all kidding aside, that's a pretty cool ship build.. if I were flying around in space, I would want something big.. mainly because I would want to get up and stretch my legs after a long jump.. I've traveled a lot in my lifetime and I would want my character to reflect the same. So for me I would want a class c ship with all of the amenities including a research hab and somewhere to exercise.
Although I enjoy my long built ship, allowing me to do everything and anything aboard, I find this refreshing and cool. You perhaps inspired me to try my hand at this. Thanks for sharing.
That is small and it looks good. Nice job 👍
Looks cool :D
I agree, the fuel tanks look better then the "stronger shield" - A bit of a fashion over function, but it's worth it 🖤
It was worth the sacrifice. I'm proud of my little baby!
With the new update, you will be able to decorate the cockpit too. Put in military cargo crates for cargo. 🎉
Amazing work. I love it.
Just keep Vasco, I believe that he doesn’t talks much in space.
Yeah I just prefer to go it alone.
I should so build this…smaller the better imo, and without glitches, yes.
Cute build. Don't forget to lower your throttle during dog fights to the middle range for faster turns :)
Isn't it 22 by 18 then? Remember getting to the max length once and trying to get it down from 41 to 40 which made the ship 80 meters long which apparently is the max
You are correct. The 11x9 is to the mid point of the ship which makes it 22x18. I could have deleted all the equipment on one side to make it thinner but that would look stupid and gimmicky and I'm not gonna do that. So for a non glitch not gimmick build I believe this is about as small a ship that can be make currently.
Why no glitch? If an engine has a fuel tank inside it and it looks ok it's fine, if not then all small ships will be very similar.
Yea without glitching parts it's hard to get it much smaller.
Nice ship man
It's really not. 164kg vs 414kg - not even close.
Great small little space combat ant, subbed and might try this build at some point. 😎👍
/DBB
Good build! Small ships are cool. 👍
Giving me “Interspace” vibes.
Really Wish they make variations of 1x1 habs - cargo(with real cargo space) - all in one - tiny ships are the way to go at time :D
If you want a small ship with decent cargo check my other small build here... ruclips.net/video/dqAO4W8phPU/видео.htmlsi=HJvt389ng81jnK_-
I tried to add a docker to the bottom of the landing bay and I got an error stating that nothing could be lower than the landing bay.
It probably said you can't access it from the cockpit - you can't attach it to a landing bay. Or it was possibly unattached. You have to have a hab above the bay, for the ones I use, or to the side for the side bay. I don't think any can have a docker beneath them - the dock exit ladder would block the exit/entry to the ship.
I don't see the point of three weapons groups. All you really need is a single bank of Vanguard Autoprojectors. Maybe EM weapons if you want to disable ships.
Why limit the ship's firepower?
@@LastMumzy ...because it's meant to be the "smallest ship possible". Or edit the title?
Glitch building isn't cheating, half of the vanilla Stroud ships with the Viking bridge come with the bridge Glitched on
Glitching in itself isn't the issue. The real issue is when I do something like a smallest build possible challenge and without fail I get people telling me theirs is smaller only to see they've glitched half the ship into a single 1x1 space.
That's fair.
@@LastMumzy this ship's almost 3x the mass and twice the size it could be though LOL.
Pocket Ship 🚀👍🏾
Starfield - GoldStar DREADNOUGHT - the big one for all players 😮
I checked your ship out. Looks like a flying Mayan pyramid!
Your storage cargo limit must be 10
Nah, the upgraded cockpits and bridges have additional cargo space. IIRC it is more efficient per point of mass than the cargo holds as well.
Tiny home movement goes to space.
And it'll probably cost the same if not more than a full size house!
Sweet
3:07 You need to build ships at your Outpost on the landing platform you need to build first. It has much more parts than any ship engineer! For shielded cargo parts you still need to go the Red Mile bloke. LOL noobs making bold and false "smallest possible" statements in their video titles for views. #DunningKruger
Perhaps since you got rid of the crew you should just swap out the bridge for one of those single seat cockpits (I am not sure what the name of it is, but it is the cockpit that that the Highlander ship has).
Due to the configuration the cockpit must access the hab from directly below. I did mess around with the cockpit from Hopetech and it looked fine but it only had room for 2 crew members. So I used the Kon Tiki instead.
……but now that you have totally booted your crew and have no need for crew slots?
Dude's making up his own rules to defend why his unnecessarily large ship is still 'the smallest possible', when it's nowhere near. The Armstrong 10 cockpit is the smallest and lightest at 5kg, but a bit taller than 1 block, then it's the Samurai at 6kg, but it's wider and longer (but lower). 164kg is the lightest ship at a small size - you could probably use slightly smaller units but they'd actually be heavier. This 'smallest ship' in the vid is 414kg!
im gonna create a ship like this. it´s good for the fps😂
This isn't the smallest, hate to tell ya.. You can do it without glitching.
Perhaps you would care to part with your secrets? I'm always looking for new ideas.
@@LastMumzy there's no secret. You are using bigger and heavier parts than needed, >50 fuel, weapons, and a shield.
but does the ship have a toilet? Lol
Compromises had to be made 😞
Nice build
Thanks!
I really dislike glitch/cheat stuff in games and videos for said games. If your not going to play legit then why do you even bother?
It's irritating when I do something like a 'smallest ship build' challenge and someone tries to pass off a glitched ship build. And yet it happens every time I post one of these ships on the r/StarfieldShips subreddit. Equally frustrating are the people who will say that this isn't the smallest ship yet provide no evidence of a smaller design. I have no illusions of being the greatest all-time ship builder in the game; but I did put a lot of hours into this design and I've yet to ever find anything smaller posted online.
It's single player, and glitching parts is part of the game that adds to it, and improves it. Affects no one else.
Nice flying weapon!
I can almost hear the Jetsons car sound as it flys by!
Nice build. Two suggestions, you could maybe use the Vanguard shield which takes up the same spot and theres a little cargo which would fit on the front where that front cap is. I like no glitch builds as well.
This is a class-a ship so I can't use the class-b Vanguard shield generator. I did play around with adding cargo to the nose of the ship and it does fit...but it extended the length of the ship. However, since the goal was to make the smallest non-glitch, non-gimmick build I decided against it. I have made a similar class-b ship that is only slightly larger but carries much more firepower, shields, and cargo (1810 base). Here is a pic!

AWSOME! I want one. I need more ship space!
Should call it "The Murder Pod"
Actually I painted it green and named it the Gremlin
Think I’ve gotten a ship down to a “3x3”. 3 single habs long and wide, and I think it was 3 tall as well
I don't see how that would be possible without glitching.
@@LastMumzy I don’t have the ship anymore since it was built on my first or second playthrough, but it’s simple enough to rebuild. Any way I can send pics of it?
@@assfish111 After re-reading this I realized you are saying three 1x1 habs long and wide. I thought you were originally saying the entire ship's dimensions was only 3x3...which is impossible.
@@LastMumzy 9x 1x1 'blocks' is the smallest build if you don't count the slim top dock or top of the Armstrong cockpit, which do take it to 11, but aren't full blocks. 10x36m, with just 2x 1x1 blocks on tier 3. That's the actual smallest, I believe.
