This is the best thing I've seen in Starfield. Literally the only thing that would make it better is if vendors carried more credits or the time to wait 48 hours was sped up
I’m doing it now but I’ll caution you: it makes some of the “stop X pirate operation” much less interesting. Most of the time it’s a few lines of dialog and done, instead of some big firefight. And you can count yourself out of the “destroy X crimson fleet ship” unless you want to pay a bounty over and over. It’s still fun and having access to The Key is amazing, but there are downsides.
You can register as soon as you sit down in the cockpit, but yeah. The reason AT suggested to grab jump away immediately is because you will be in combat with nearby ships if you wait even a couple seconds to re-dock making the bank run much more difficult for you.
@@Samurai-xm2ynyeah the whole point of not registering when you get in the cockpit of your new ship is that your home ship will disappear, and if you're out here being a pirate, you don't want to have to go back to a port and get your primary ship again.

You mentioned registering from the landing pad, but you don't have to do that and probably shouldn't. If you register from the "ships" tab in your pause menu, the profit from selling each ship will roughly double. I've been hunting varuun ships in the serpentis system (you get an encounter with them nearly every jump between planets) and my profit just from the ship sale goes from about 5-10k to 10-20k. In total I tend to pick up 40-50k credits per ship I hijack from selling off the cargo, plus you get a chance at getting varuun weapons which are the best in the game, and some of the ships come with class c reactors at 32 power way before you'd be able to buy them from vendors.

I have been mining the Serpentis system for XP and ships. There is around 25 ships just in that system. Just travel to each planet and moon, wait 5 to 12 seconds and they appear.

If you dont want to invest in building an outpost to have a bounty console, go to Olympus where the Dream Home is. On that planet, there is a civilian outpost, go inside, there is a Bounty Console inside and you can sell to that vendor as well. Once done, I hit my Dream Home for a cold beer at the balcony and have a good sleep.
From an RP perspective, finish the crimson fleet or Ryugin campaign and talk with certain people at the end. I think you can setup a bounty station there as well.

To commandeer a ship from a spacers and crimson pirates after fighting them off to sell is the way I’d go as a good play through for extra credits... possibly even ecliptic ships .
You don’t need to undock. Just hit H and set it as home ship. Soon as your main ship starts to pull away target it, dock back with it and boom. You leave in your full health ship and the new claim ship will be ready when you want it.
and Xp farm also ... this is the fastest way when ur high lvl to farm xp .. the "west tek" of space here we have serpentis and the key, I usually get like 7-8 lvls in a day of spaceship farming .. am lvl 126 in starfield and 1100 in 76 😅
I mean, this is still exploiting ridiculous game mechanics... Almost no one comes to help the bank ship, grav jumping out takes less than two seconds, the bank doesn't come after you, the heist pays way more than the bounty, no one bats an eye at some random independent settler showing up to pawn off a bank cash-in-transit vehicle... You can level infinitely using the janitor lady in the MAST NAT station, too - just keep riding the elevator to The Well and back, which resets her coffee delivery activity, which you can buy an infinite quantity of through the terminal. Earns 100 xp every time you give her one, and the money/items she gives you pays for more coffee. Technically not a glitch either, but that doesn't mean it isn't a completely broken mechanic. :p
I did this three or four times and had successdul heists. However, the fifth time, when I engage the Stormrider ships, I cannot dock onto the ship unfortunately even after lowering their engines completely. I think its because there are too many ships around and engaging me.
I think they should have made an achievement for getting a super high bounty. Most wanted man in the galaxy. Most wanted man in the universe when you get enough bounty in enough galaxies lol. Or some achievements for piracy say take over 50 ships
best em weapon is Nullifier 1750 Suppressor i believe, you can mount 4 and the rate of fire is 1.5, it is 300 EM dps while Tatsu 501 only 180 EM dps, again rank C weapon is bad
At this point (still first playthrough but already over LV.150, with maxed shipyard and piloting skills), I personally do not ser any use to mount EM weapons aside the class-A one. My disruptor weaponed B-class ship melt thru shields, and the class-A EM needs feew shots to disabile engines and let me dock... ... save money for more important parts... no need for B or C-class EM
You can use the crew, but only select set of hirelings (and only few of them have ship skills, unfortunatelly), not Constellation. Also why not use lasers to break shields before using EM weapons? Also registering ships in space (through ship menu) is cheaper than through technician or landing pad for whatever reason, if profit from selling ships is of any concern.
I wanted to take grandma’s ship but I was full. She fed me, let me take everything, and was gonna let me have the ship too. I hope I see her again, I’ll try to have ship space but since I’ve got more ships than I’m supposed to, I’m worried I won’t be able to still have more than I’m supposed to
It seems any ship with a custom hab is unobtainable. I tried getting Warlock when I was doing the UC quest, it had custom made scientist/hoarder habs. Grandma's ship has unique and very comfy living space with throw rugs and rocking chairs and a dining table/kitchen hab. And any player who would steal her ship is playing an absolutely monstrous evil character.
i recommend deimos for hunting bank ships.. i was lucky there and almost never triggered uc patrols so i just got the bounty for attack by em and could easily move over to akila for bounty clearance

I've done the piracy dialogue option on lone Galbanks in the middle of nowhere and never gotten a bounty, even with a full Constellation crew (I may have been in non-faction space each time, but not sure). I haven't boarded though, because I've been worried about bounties doing that (got a MASSIVE bounty from accidentally pissing off and boarding a Freestar security ship, so I'm gunshy now).
Space Banks: “Lets crew a ship, expend thruster and grav drive fuel, and risk life and limb to transport 15k.” Gimme a break. The drip feed economy in games is disgusting anymore.
So that's how I keep getting credits in my ship's hold? Stealing ships!! Maybe add a single, not so powerful laser to break through shields then EM to disable to Engine and Grav Drive for a faster boarding?
I love your guides man !! there are two mods would make things easier and more profitable .. 1- Spaceship Manager mod would allow you to own the ship as soon as u sit on pilot set then u can go back to your ship immediately no undocking stuff required ... 2- Better Transfer Looting Docking Distance for Ships mod while it has other of life quality features it reduces the registration fees from 90% to 25% of ship value = more profit when selling making it more worth while for doing that

Have you tried all companions? There are two you can get through crimson fleet and there are plenty of hireables that are okay with murder when actively your companion. I’m wondering if the generic companions work either
you should install lower register fee mod. the register fee is just too much. imagine you got brand new car from someone but you need to pay 85% of that car price for licence?
I tryed to do it on volii system but evry time i tryed to raid the storm riders i couldnt dock , even after disabling the engines and everything , and always all the other ships became agro
So i tested this with marika and got a 100k bounty, so im pretty sure she is out. also sometimes i would still get a 15k bounty even though all witnesses are dead. any ideas why?
So, when I do this it's mostly good. But sometimes I get stuck on multiple attempts where no matter what I do I still have a huge bounty with UC. I only do this is Freestar systems. Sometimes I even get it so no other ships attack, and when I head out, no ships are coming after me. I kill everyone on board, I don't have any companions, and still I get stuck with 15-30k credit bounties afterwards. Anyone know if I'm doing something to make this happen?
depends on who u want to play... i am a corrupt freestar ranger and i don't like the uc so i do some off duty side jobs against galbank if you know what i mean ^^
if you screwed up your savegame, then going to jail gets rid of it... however you will get such a high xp penalty you will need long time for it to get to 0 again
Go to the bounty clearing kiosk, it may still be very low. I got a high uc bounty after killing the final crew member but it was dropped to 675 at the kiosk at my outpost.
I’ve got the same issue… I think I’ve made sure I’ve got no companion quest but I’m still getting 15K per kill I’m targeting GalBank ships that are alone so no other ship can witness the piracy. I’ve got no crew on my ship, no companion with me but I’m getting 15K UC bounty for each kill. So like 60K per GalBank ship raided 😰
If a companion is "active" aka not dismissed they will literally follow you wherever you go. Don't forget the difference between unassigned and dismissed. Dismiss just means "Stop following me"

it is on planets with fast rotations around their sun....if you want to fly somewhere else like venus and just wait 1 hour to refresh all shops

go to a ship vendor and choose buy ships option than look on bottom right on the screen it will tell you button mappings to switch in to selling

No crew or companion. Granted I didn’t have an outpost set up so probably the difference. But was quite surprised to see that price tag.

if you screwed up your savegame, then going to jail gets rid of it... however you will get such a high xp penalty you will need long time for it to get to 0 again
does the robot report you for bounty as well?

Go to the bounty clearing kiosk, it may still be very low. I got a high uc bounty after killing the final crew member but it was dropped to 675 at the kiosk at my outpost.
The 15k bounty after killing each crew on the ship doesnt disappear and ads up to a bounty of 50k... what am i doing wrong?
did you remove all the crew? no killing until security ships stop talking? no companion with you?

@@blackbird8594 that's odd maybe you have some quest with mandatory companion? this quest companions disable my isolation perk even when not with me
I’ve got the same issue… I think I’ve made sure I’ve got no companion quest but I’m still getting 15K per kill
I’m targeting GalBank ships that are alone so no other ship can witness the piracy. I’ve got no crew on my ship, no companion with me but I’m getting 15K UC bounty for each kill. So like 60K per GalBank ship raided 😰
Do you still loot bodies or it goes to your loot automaticly ?
Loot the bodies, their loot will not end up in the ships hold.

Every companion in this game being a morale Boy Scout is so annoying.
Do you have have to fully dismiss you companions and crew to avoid being reported, or can you just reassign/unassign them?
If a companion is "active" aka not dismissed they will literally follow you wherever you go. Don't forget the difference between unassigned and dismissed. Dismiss just means "Stop following me"
