Spoke with a Muslim the other day and they went on and on about all the inconsistencies of the Bible, how differently Jesus is portrayed throughout the gospels, etc. Granting him all that, I asked him why he believes in ANY of the prophets. His response was LITERALLY “because we’re supposed to.”

To Muslims, not doubting Islam is FAR more important than finding the truth about Islam.
Their religion tells them that if they were to doubt Islam in any way, they’re already one foot in hellfire 🔥.
If they were to value their eternity, they can never allow themselves to doubt at all, even if they are shown contradicting Islamic verses.
They’ll simply respond by shutting their mind from any question and respond: Allah knows best! And I’m not a scholar, go ask them not me!!

The authors of the gospels were not the ones who were walking with Jesus according to Christian scholarship, who admit all authors of the gospels are anonymous. People were just writing about Jesus what they heard about Jesus. The authors of the gospels never claimed that they were witnesses. They never claim who they are. And they never claim any divine inspiration. Majority of Christians don't even know that they are relying on 4th century Greek manuscripts written by unknown authors.

    • @matthewyoho5422

Wrong - we don't admit that, and the overwhelming majority of ALL scholarship, Christians, Jews, ATHEISTS WHO THINK ALL RELIGION IS NONSENSE... will tell you that the attributed authors of the Gospels were the authors, of those Gospels (the only slightly correct thing you just said is that not all of those authors were direct eye-witnesses... but those books SAY that, and they wrote them by "talking to and questioning the eye-witnesses") - they don't claim who they are explicitly because it wasn't "about them" and also it was kind of obvious on its face, we assert that ALL scripture is "God breathed" or "inspired", and the entire New Testament was compiled within "less than a century" from the crucifixion, the MOST certain fact of the ancient world that Islam denies took place, because Islam is a comical, obvious forgery whose entire standard narrative is a fairy-tale that doesn't match reality.
We don't have the original TEXTS, from the 1st century... but that's not a problematic aspect for Christians because we know exactly why: Christians were POOR, they were a heavily persecuted minority for quite some time, so when they were writing those books and letters that comprise the New Testament down, they weren't using expensive parchment, they used papyrus... which crumbles after about a century or so. That's why we don't have the originals, but rather copies of copies, until Roman emperors adopted Christianity and commissioned manuscripts on materials that would last.
Your Dawah script, just like the entire state of Islamic apologetics, consists of "just telling lies". You should ask yourself why "the truth" can only be defended by lying about things.

By contrast who did Mohammed actually meet from the first century? That’s right! NO ONE! ZILCH!! Because the fact is that Islam and Mohammed didn’t even exist until 6 centuries later and Mohammed allegedly met an angel in a cave who squeezed him so hard and frightened him so much he was suicidal and he apparently travelled on a flying donkey, split the moon but still managed to get the crucifixion and the trinity totally and utterly wrong - yes?

The injeel that muslims talk about is what was revealed to Jesus.
I even sense that this Injeel actually existed, but with the paganization of the Nazarenes, and the invitation of the gentiles into the movement, then this had to be banned and condemned.
Heck! Even Paul affirms the existence of two gospels in Galatians. One to Peter and one to him.

The Quran affirms many books of the Bible - namely the Torah and Injeel.
The Quran never mentions multiple Injeels - only one Injeel which was sent by Allah and is with the Christians at the time of Muhammad.
Muhammad had companions and family that hung out with Trinitarian Nicene-creed believing Christians in Yemen, Aksum, Egypt and possibly Syria.
We have no evidence that Muhammad had access to a different Injeel than the one all the Christians he knew of had.
Christendom was unified on the Injeel (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) by the 7th century. This is obvious through manuscript evidence and the testimony of Church tradition.
All the available evidence points to Muhammad affirming the Injeel that was in use by the Byzantium Imperial Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, The Oriental Orthodox Church, the Church of the East etc.
You have zero evidence that the Quran is referring to a different Injeel.

Normal Christians never had any access and these gospels were hidden from them. That is historical too.

If you watched the video - I give multiple early Muslim scholars who believed the Injeel was Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
The idea the Injeel was corrupted textually at it's very core seems to originate with Ibn Hazm in the 11th century.
And this idea you guys now use in the modern day of the Injeel being something totally different that only Muhammad and a small group of Christians knew about in the Hijaz - isn't a popular view historically by Islamic scholars. Probably because this would mean the majority of the worlds population of Christians are being judged for not following the real Injeel - even though the Quran assumes they have it and can follow it's laws - which would then be an error in the Quran.

It is oxymoron to claim the Qur'an affirms the the Bible when it negates the core doctrines taught in the Bible.
It is truly amazing that christians actually go to the Qur'an to try to defend the man-made Bible, because history actually confirms the Torah was lost at the destruction of the first Temple alongside the Ark of the Covenant......lol

I don't think christians ever go to the Quran to defend the Bible. We study the Old Testament and New Testament, also sometimes other Jewish writings that were intertestimental, that are fairly good. The problem with the Quran being that it alters Bible stories and includes fabulous material (Solomon on flying carpet, Alexander the Great a prophet ...), and also is clearly written by a person or people not well informed. (When the Temple was destroyed, their copy of the Torah might have got lost, but you seem unaware that they had many copies of the Torah, also a Greek translation, and Aramaic targums).

So you go to the Qur'an to do what?
Lying about it as you are doing here?
Solomon's flying carpet in the Qur'an?
I would love to see the verse!
      Alexander the Great a prophet?
I would also love to see the verse!
Are you projecting the Bible problems on the Qur'an? Because it is the Bible that calls Cyrus A Messiah....lol

The Torah was lost and that is a historical fact. And you lie that they had many copies of the Torah. And it was Ezra who wrote the Pentateuch which is just a story about the events and stories about Moses and some little bits of what he could recall about the Torah......lol
The Torah was in the custody of the priests in the Temple.

Matthew COPIED 90% of Mark. examples where Matthew copied from Mark , but, FORGED words / removed words , to give a more "Divine" Jesus.
    these categories are:
    1) changing the word m when referring to Jesus, calling him Lord ( when it was Rabbi in MArk's Gospel)
    2) Jesus calling himself Lord
    3) Son of God, added to the text
    4) Jesus calling God, my Father, rather than God
    5) people worshipping Jesus
    6) reducing the emphasis of the One God
    7) reducing the distinction between Jesus and God
    8) covered the human limitations of Jesus ( Fig tree )
So, we have concluded that: 1) Matthew wasn't an eye-witness. 2) He was a pagan 3) he plagerized his Gospel 4) he didn't view Mark's Gospel as Divine or holy. See how easy we can , even today, see how the New Testament has nothing to do with Jesus' teachings,

Thanks for this comprehensive explanation. BUT since muslims frequently throw their scholars and even their prophet under the bus 🚌, they would not blink with their eyes and will say dawawise 🥸: Well, these scholars you are referencing didn’t know, what later scholars know and therefore you are ignorant about this. Are you listening? I am here to teach you the truth of what we know now about the injeel. Since we still can’t say what it actually was saying - uncorupted - we know now for sure that it said whatever the quran says …. and .. no! Don’t interrupt, you are being rude! I will walk out of this conversation …“
